“Niannian will not agree,” Yan Ze said in a dry voice, mainly because Xu Nian had never liked him from the beginning.
“Niannian wants to end this apocalypse. As long as we join forces and show Niannian our value, she will accept you.” Li Chen’s words stirred Yan Ze’s heart, who was originally depressed.
"You won't regret it?" In Yan Ze's view, Li Chen had a chance to have Xu Nian all to himself.
"Brother, when did you become so indecisive?" Li Chen chuckled. He was willing to make generous concessions, yet Li Chen hesitated.

When Xu Nian woke up the next day, she found that Yan Ze had returned. He was cooking in the kitchen, and the dishes he made were all her favorites.
Standing at the kitchen doorway, Xu Nian sized up Yan Ze and asked, "What are you planning to do this time?"
"I heard you haven't been eating properly lately, so I'll cook you a meal." Yan Ze turned off the stove, ladled out the dishes, and placed them on the table for Xu Nian to come over.
Adhering to the principle of "why not eat if it's free," Xu Nian didn't stand on ceremony. After finishing her meal and putting down her chopsticks, she looked at Yan Ze sitting awkwardly opposite her and asked, "Is there anything else?"
"Niannian, can you forgive me for what I did back then?" Yan Ze walked over to Xu Nian and squatted down beside her.
"No." Xu Nian refused ruthlessly.
"Then let's call it even, okay? I treated you like that, and you almost killed me too. Let's even things out, okay?" Yan Ze said anxiously.
Xu Nian just stared at Yan Ze without saying a word, then burst into tears: "Niannian, tell me what I need to do for you to forgive me?"
Xu Nian rested her chin on her hand, a malicious smile on her face. "Yan Ze, would you do anything I ask?"
Yan Ze said sincerely, "As long as it's something you said, I will definitely do it."
"Then I want you to kill all the zombies in this world. I'll forgive you when you've wiped them all out." Xu Nian smiled provocatively. She was deliberately making things difficult for Yan Ze, which was why she made such a harsh condition.
“Okay, Niannian keeps her word.” Yan Ze nodded in agreement without hesitation.
"Of course." Xu Nian said with a smile.
She didn't expect Yan Ze to agree without even considering it.
But this was exactly what she wanted: one would help her kill zombies, and the other would help her carry out her superhuman plan.
She suddenly realized that there was nothing wrong with the male lead being love-struck; after all, he did whatever she said. Where else could you find a man like that?
"Niannian, brother, are you finished talking?" Li Chen came in from outside, smiling as he approached Xu Nian and leaned down to kiss her.
"Li Chen, there are other people here!" Xu Nian gave Li Chen a embarrassed look.
"It's okay, we're all family now. Niannian, how about we take care of you together from now on?" Li Chen's words startled Xu Nian so much that she almost fell off her chair.
No, she's already chosen one of the two male leads, so how could they still have such dangerous ideas?
"Li Chen, you must be joking!" Xu Nian tried to smile, but her lips just wouldn't curl up.
She really did want to cry.
"Niannian, we all love you so much, none of us want to let go, you'll understand, right?"
Xu Nian wanted to flip the table. What did she understand? She didn't want to understand.
However, Li Chen lifted her onto the table and said gently, "Niannian is full, it's our turn to eat."
"???" Xu Nian was shocked. Are you serious?
"There's no food for you, so I only cooked for Nian Nian." Yan Ze slapped Li Chen's hand away and made Xu Nian get off the table.
He glared at Li Chen and said, "You scared Niannian just now."
"I was just trying to lighten the mood!" Li Chen blinked innocently.

Xu Nian kept her distance from the two men with a dark expression. They were two lunatics; she couldn't afford to mess with them.
Seeing Xu Nian go upstairs, Li Chen said regretfully, "It seems she doesn't accept the two of you being together. From now on, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are yours, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are mine, and Sundays are hers alone."
"Don't scare Niannian away with your silly antics," Yan Ze said before heading to clear the dishes.
"It's not like you don't want to." Li Chen curled his lips. In a way, Yan Ze was another version of himself in this world. Li Chen didn't know what Yan Ze thought of him.
All I can say is that Yan Ze is even better at pretending than him.
"Get out of here! Have you finished what Niannian asked you to do?" Yan Ze poked his head out of the kitchen in an annoyed tone.
"We don't have enough evolved zombies. You need to take some men out and capture more." Li Chen immediately became serious when he got down to business.
"How much do you want?" Yan Ze asked, washing the dishes.
"The more the better. I'm planning to change the base's rules recently to prevent too many superhumans from causing trouble in the future." Li Chen was troubled; this was a huge undertaking.
"Okay! I'll take some men to catch zombies later." Yan Ze said succinctly.
