After another five minutes or so, they finally arrived at the cabin. Compared to a year ago, the cabin was more fully furnished and felt more like a cozy home.
Feng Guang walked into her own room, turned around and smiled at Xia Fengying, "I really like it here. I always think that one day I can go back to this wooden house with my brother and talk to him. After all... my brother used to hide his feelings for me very well. I've always felt that it was a bit unfair."
"Now that I'm back, I can say whatever I want, no matter how glorious the situation is."
She leaned in and hugged him. "Okay, brother, you have to tell me everything you've kept from me before. You have to answer whatever I ask. You can't lie to me anymore."
"Okay, I promise you." He chuckled softly. In Feng Guang's memory, this tolerant attitude was something he only occasionally showed unintentionally.
He picked her up and sat her on the edge of the bed, reaching out to stroke the top of her head. "What does Fengguang want to ask?"
"When did you realize you liked me?" That was the first sharp question she asked, and her bright eyes revealed how much she was looking forward to the answer.
“On Fengguang’s twelfth birthday…” He narrowed his eyes slightly, his smile not so pleasant, “I found a small pink envelope in the birthday gift your classmate gave you.”
She was taken aback. "Love letters? How come I didn't know?"
"Of course, it's because I threw the letter away as soon as I saw it." He said it innocently and harmlessly, as if it were not a morally wrong thing, but a very ordinary and legitimate means of protecting one's own possessions.
Feng Guang has been beautiful since childhood. Even though she has a domineering older brother who is very intimidating, it still doesn't make a boy going through puberty completely unmoved. After all, for young students, a large part of liking someone is based on their appearance.
Feng Guang had always thought that she was isolated because of Xia Fengying, so she never imagined that a boy would have a crush on her. It was a wonderful misunderstanding. What she thought was that Xia Fengying had invited all the boys in her class who had feelings for her out for a "good talk".
Previously, Xia Fengying only felt that this girl was really annoying him, and could make his emotions go through many twists and turns. It was only when she turned twelve that he realized that he didn't hate her, but liked her.
To be honest, Xia Fengying was already an adult at that time. He once wondered if he was some kind of mentally disturbed lolicon, but after watching some Japanese adult anime, he found it boring. Sure enough... this lolicon was only for Fengguang.
Feng Guang finally got her answer. She looked at him with an indescribable expression, "Brother... I was so young back then, weren't you..."
"Even if you call me a pervert, I'll accept it." That's the truth, and he has no way to argue with it.
"Alright then..." she asked another question, "What was your brother thinking when he was bitten by a zombie?"
“I think… after I die, Fengguang will be with other men, which is something that hurts me more than death itself.”
"Then, brother, will you regret it? If it weren't for me..."
“No,” Xia Fengying quickly replied, “Everything done for the sake of glory is necessary.”
