She was already sensitive to heat, and now it was the hottest part of the afternoon. Coupled with the fear of being caught by him, she was feeling unwell both physically and mentally, and uncontrollably suffered from heatstroke.
Feng Guang's brows furrowed, and the hand gripping his clothes tightened unconsciously. "Save me..."
"I don't like meddling in other people's business." He stood up, ready to leave.
Feng Guang grumbled, "You're so cold...no one will like you..."
He turned around and said, "I don't need anyone to like me."
"You saved me..." Her eyes seemed to sparkle with starlight, and her voice was soft, "Then I'll like you, okay?"
His back paused.
Sweat got into her eyes, and she blinked hard, but she couldn't get the sweat out. Instead, it made her eyes even redder, as if she was about to cry.
Finally, he squatted down again. "Want to live?"
"Hmm..." She struggled to lift her dusty face to rub her eyes, but he caught her.
Finally, she could only see him bending down slightly with blurred vision, and then she felt herself being picked up, before her consciousness faded into darkness.
When Feng Guang woke up again, she was in a simple room. She touched her slightly cold forehead and realized that she had heatstroke. She sat up in bed and looked around the simple room. There was a bed, a table, a stool, two windows, and nothing else. It was frighteningly simple.
Clearly, this room did not conform to her luxurious aesthetic principles, but before she could complain, the door opened and a man walked in.
He was still dressed in the same dark clothes, which made him look even more sinister. Seeing that Feng Guang had woken up, he put the medicine bowl on the table and said coldly, "Since you're awake, drink your medicine yourself."
Feng Guang stared at him blankly for a while, then asked, "Where am I?"
"My home."
Where do you live?
"Black Wind Village".
Feng Guang immediately shut her mouth. A moment later, she lay back down on the bed, covered her head with the blanket, and trembled slightly.
The man didn't care whether she was scared or not, nor did he care about other people's feelings; his only purpose was to deliver the medicine.
After the man left, the person on the bed finally couldn't hold back her laughter any longer. Feng Guang bit the blanket, trying hard to suppress her laughter. "What a stroke of luck!" she thought. "I was so eager to come to Black Wind Stronghold, and this man brought me here!"
As expected of her superb acting skills, after realizing that this man dressed in black was no ordinary person, she made up her mind to stick to him shamelessly. With her beauty and pitiful acting skills, she refused to believe that this man could be so heartless as to leave her to fend for herself on the ground!
However, the fact that she suffered from heatstroke is true, so even if he wasn't from Black Wind Stronghold, she would probably still shamelessly beg him to save her. When it comes to life, she can always be shameless.
Feng Guang got up, frowned, and drank the extremely bitter medicine. After a while, she pushed open the door and went out. As soon as she stepped out, she was stunned.
The courtyard is filled with wooden carvings, including plants and animals, but mostly animals. These carvings are so lifelike, and the colors on them make it seem as if what you are seeing is real.
