Eve naturally agreed with Feng Guang's words. In her world, only food and swords were the most important things, though this importance was still within the bounds of her duties.
The Papacy was actually not far from the royal palace, but unfortunately, they ran into Richard on the way, which made the short distance seem like an eternity.
Richard is now convinced that Feng Guang is his savior. He still remembers that when he was most helpless, it was Feng Guang who saved him. She was like an angel who took him out of his misery. How could he possibly give up on pursuing an angel?
Feng Guang, holding Eve's waist as they rode on horseback, earnestly said again, "Prince Richard, I've told you many times, the person who saved you really wasn't me."
“Princess Wendy, I know you are the kind of person who does good deeds without expecting anything in return. I’m here not because you saved me, but because, Wendy, I’ve truly fallen in love with you.” Richard’s eyes revealed deep affection, and his words were enough to easily move any woman.
Unfortunately, the glory didn't belong to any of these people. She said with a terrible headache, "The person who saved you was actually another lady."
"Really?" Richard replied perfunctorily. He didn't seem to believe it. Instead, he looked at Feng Guang with an amusing look, as if to say, "What kind of lie are you trying to tell now?"
Feng Guang felt a chill run down her spine. Perhaps Richard's past success in winning over other women led him to mistakenly believe that Feng Guang was merely a little more reserved than other women. However, Feng Guang found it particularly repulsive that a man she didn't like would make such a move. Without any patience, Feng Guang said, "Prince Richard, the one who saved you is a girl named Ariel. She will appear soon, and then you'll know that I wasn't lying to you."
"So Wendy already has a name in mind?" Richard pondered for a moment, then nodded, as if to play along with the little girl's childish game. "Alright then, I believe there is such a person as Ariel."
It was obvious that he didn't believe it at all.
Feng Guang was silent for a moment, then said, “Prince Richard, I’ll say it one last time, I really don’t like you.”
“All feelings can be cultivated over time.” Richard raised an eyebrow. “Believe me, love is the easiest thing to cultivate.”
Richard's horse suddenly let out a long neigh, and began to run wild. Richard was terrified. "Arno!"
A loyal knight rushed over to help control the out-of-control horse, but Richard, on the horse's back, was also in danger of falling off at any moment.
The horse went out of control suddenly. Looking ahead, Fengguang saw a man dressed in black, looking very meticulous. It turned out that they had unknowingly arrived near the Vatican, and standing at the entrance of the Vatican was Herman, who had appeared at some unknown time.
"Arno!" Richard shouted, and his horse ran off into the distance.
"Your Highness!" Arno quickly rode his horse after him.
Fengguang dismounted and said to Eve, "Richard is, after all, a guest of our Xia Kingdom. He can't be harmed. Eve, go and help him quickly."
"Yes, Your Highness." Eve accepted the order and rode off after them.
