In the twilight of the evening, a girl in a school uniform sat on a park bench. She had been sitting there for a long time, and even the little boy playing in the sand next to her couldn't help but take her hand and ask, "Sister, what are you doing sitting here?"
Feng Guang raised his head and said seriously, "I'm waiting for something."
"What are you waiting for, sister?" asked the adorable little girl.
"I'm waiting... for the time I travel through."
The boy looked down at his sister and said, "I told you not to look at so much, and look, another one has gone crazy from looking at so much."
"Hmm..." The younger sister bit her lip and nodded, looking aggrieved.
As if convinced that Feng Guang was mentally ill, the boy took his sister's hand and left.
Feng Guang remained seated there. She took out her phone and checked the time. It was 5:30 PM. She had been sitting there for two hours. The system had told her that she would definitely travel to that time today. She waited and waited, until all the kids went home for dinner, but she didn't see any unusual celestial phenomena that would allow her to travel to that fictional dynasty.
She felt a little heartbroken.
However, when she glanced at the young man sitting in the chair opposite her with flowers, she felt better. According to her observation, this man had been sitting there longer than she had, but his girlfriend seemed to have stood him up. He sat there alone with his head down, looking very dejected.
Fengguang shook her head, feeling sorry for him. Then she saw an elderly couple sitting by the flower bed watching the sunset. She was forced to eat a mouthful of old dog food (a Chinese slang term for witnessing public displays of affection) before turning her gaze away.
In a small park, people of all ages and genders gathered for different reasons. She suddenly felt a pang of emotion, wondering if, when she grew old, a man would accompany her to watch the sunset, instead of her being all alone, silently witnessing the lovey-dovey moments of couples.
As night fell, people gradually left the park, and Fengguang, bored, counted the days until dark clouds suddenly gathered in the sky and a clap of thunder sounded.
She immediately stood up excitedly, thinking to herself that she was about to travel through time!
However, after waiting for a long time, until the raindrops fell like beans, and everyone else was shouting to go home and collect their laundry, she still hadn't time-traveled.
The man sitting on the chair opposite her stood up as he saw the rain and seemed to be leaving. A running child bumped into him, and the red rose in his hand fell to the ground in front of Feng Guang. Feng Guang picked up the flower and walked over to return it to him. Suddenly, she stepped into a puddle and felt a sudden sensation of her body falling into the air.
When she opened her eyes again, she was surrounded by water. Feng Guang held her breath and struggled to look around. It seemed that she had fallen into the sea, but heaven knows that she had just stepped into a puddle!
Just when she was about to lose her breath and couldn't bear it any longer, the surface of the sea seemed to be getting closer and closer to her. Feng Guang didn't have time to think and desperately swam upwards. Finally, she reached out and grabbed something. Her will to survive made her hold on to this thing with all her might, and finally, with the help of this thing, she floated to the surface.
"Cough cough..." She coughed violently a few times while lying on the shore, and sensitively sensed that something was wrong. When she looked up again, she saw that there were people all around her, and in front of her was a young man wearing a black robe embroidered with a coiled dragon. She was holding his hand, and she... seemed to be in a square pool on some kind of sacrificial altar.
Feng Guang spat out a mouthful of water and subconsciously extended the hand holding the flower to the boy, saying, "It's just a small gift, nothing special."
