After a long silence, when the only sound was the dripping of blood, Qian Qiu said admiringly, "Prince Qian has great courage. However, simply crippling one hand is not enough. Why don't you stab yourself in the chest as well?"
Feng Guang's eyes widened, but she couldn't speak. She could only shake her head desperately at Gu Yan.
Gu Yan sighed.
Qian Qiu said, "That's true. It's not worth going to such lengths for a woman. Although Xia Fengguang is an empress, she is still just a woman. Why should Prince Qian hurt himself for her?"

Feng Guang coughed a few times after falling to the ground, ignoring the pain in her neck. She got up and ran towards Gu Yan, squatting down beside him. It took her a while to find a place to put her outstretched hand, which trembled as she placed it on his pale face, sobbing uncontrollably, "I already said I don't want it! Don't you understand!?"
“In Your Majesty’s library…” He raised his thin lips slightly, his bloodless face possessing a captivatingly eerie beauty, “I saw it said… when a woman says no, she actually means yes.”
Feng Guang couldn't laugh. She fiercely wiped away her tears, but soon the mist in her eyes condensed and turned into tears again. "Gu Yan, you idiot!" Feng Guang shouted angrily, tears streaming down her face. She was angry at herself. She wanted to rush into his arms and hug him, but she was afraid of touching his wound.
As if sensing her thoughts, Gu Yan grabbed her wrist with his left hand and pulled her into his arms. She smelled a strong odor of blood and saw his bleeding chest up close. She cried and cried like a three-year-old child, uncontrollably hiccuping.
He patted her head and whispered, "Your Majesty, rest assured, I will not die so easily."
He avoided vital points with both of his sword strikes; as long as the bleeding was stopped in time, that would be fine. As for how to stop the bleeding... he looked up at the doorway, where a graceful figure arrived right on time with delicate steps.
