Chapter 68: Conquering the Blind Prince

Lightning cleaved the sky in two, thunder resounded throughout the night, and a torrential downpour began in the middle of the night.

A pale, lotus-root-like arm emerged from under the covers and grabbed the hem of the departing man's clothes.

Qi Mu, already dressed, turned around and sat on the edge of the bed. He took that hand in his and kissed it, then chuckled softly, "Don't you want to leave me?"

"It's raining outside..." Feng Guang huddled under the covers, her cheeks still flushed from the lingering passion. Her voice was more melodious than usual, even charming. Upon hearing her own voice, she was surprised, and her face turned even redder.

She couldn't even imagine how many plum blossoms were imprinted on her fair and smooth body, which was completely naked under the brocade quilt. Her initial recklessness had turned into even greater shame after reason returned.

Qi Mu tucked her slightly cold arm back under the covers. He didn't pull his hand away immediately, but instead placed it on her waist, gently massaging it to relieve her body aches. Feng Guang hummed comfortably.

He couldn't resist kissing her lips again. He had just had a hearty meal and could still control himself. Her body was still fragile after her first time, and even if he wanted to, he couldn't torment her anymore.

She called to him with half-closed eyes, "Amu..."

He kissed the corner of her eye and asked softly, "Are you feeling any better now?"

"Hmm..." She clutched the blanket to her chest with one hand, sat up halfway, and weakly fell into his arms. Forgetting her shyness, she pleaded with him, "Can't you stay a little longer?"

Afraid she would catch a cold, Qi Mu hugged her tightly through the blanket and said helplessly, "In another hour, Master Xia will be getting up to check on the shop."

"How do you even know what time my dad gets up?"

“How could I not investigate everything before coming to see you in the middle of the night?” He chuckled softly in her ear.

It turned out he hadn't come to see her on a whim, but had planned it all along. Feng Guang grabbed his shirt, thought for a long time, and asked, "Amu, if we do this...do this...will I get pregnant?"

"Like this? What do you mean by 'like this'?"

“You…are we…” She looked up and, in the flash of lightning, saw the smile on his lips. Knowing he was teasing her, she couldn’t help but feel slightly annoyed. “You’re still smiling? What if I really am pregnant?”

"Then give birth to it."

"ah?"

Qi Mu stroked her head, smoothing her hair, "You don't think you can marry anyone else but me, do you?"

She shook her head. "No."

Her unwavering answer improved his mood even more, and he smiled and said, "Soon, I will come to the Xia residence to propose marriage. After my mother's birthday banquet, we will get married."

"Get married? Isn't this...too fast?"

quick?

No, that's not fast at all; he even complained that it was too slow.

Qi Mu moved his hand from under the blanket to her lower abdomen and asked a rather nasty question, "If you're really pregnant, do you really want to wear a wedding dress with a big belly?"

With just that one sentence, she had no more complaints. Every woman wants to look her best on her wedding day, and Fengguang is no exception.

She sighed in frustration in his arms.

Like comforting a child, he patted her back and said, "Alright, I should go now."

She looked up, "But it's still raining so hard outside."

He asked with amusement, "Are you that worried about me? Or... are you afraid of thunder?"

"Of course it's because I... can't bear to part with you."
