Xianmo: "Yes, I don't like it."
“Xianmo!” Fengguang was startled by his decisive answer. She looked at the child again, who was about to cry. She quickly said, “Look at you, you’re going to make him cry.”
Xianmo pursed his lips but didn't say anything.
After all, he was only twelve years old. Seeing his unusually childlike behavior, Feng Guang suddenly didn't know what to say.
"Second Prince!" The belated servants rushed over. The head matron stiffened slightly upon seeing Xianmo, and seeing her young master looking aggrieved, she hurriedly asked anxiously, "Second Prince, what's wrong? Have you been bullied?"
Before they arrived, there was only Xianmo. The old woman's words clearly implied a deeper meaning.
Fearing that someone might misunderstand, Xianlong quickly shook her head and said, "No one bullied me."
The old woman continued, "The Second Prince is kind-hearted, but if he is truly bullied, don't just let it go. After all, the Second Prince is His Majesty and the Empress's most beloved child, and His Majesty and the Empress will stand up for him."
This old woman seemed determined not to give up until she heard from Xianlong that Xianmo had bullied him.
Feng Guang glanced at Xian Mo, who was expressionless, as if he were just an uninvolved bystander. Then he looked at Xian Long, who was surrounded by so many palace servants, while Xian Mo was all alone.
Because Fengguang is not even human in his current state.
Feng Guang felt sorry for Xian Mo, but this feeling turned into anger when she saw the old woman. She rushed over and kicked the old woman hard in the back. The old woman fell headfirst to the ground and rolled twice.
"Granny Guo!"
"Granny, are you alright?"
The other palace maids and eunuchs quickly helped the fallen woman up. Granny Guo, clutching her back and with numerous cuts and bruises on her face, cursed loudly, "Which son of a bitch dared to kick me? Are they tired of living?! Ouch... my old back..."
The Second Prince, who hadn't cried yet, burst into tears upon hearing the nanny's outburst of curses.
Everyone hurriedly comforted the Second Prince, and even the old nanny Guo was no longer able to be helped. Without anyone to support her, the old nanny Guo fell to the ground again.
Feng Guang drifted back to Xian Mo's side, smiling as she asked, "Are you happy?"
"Does Fengguang feel relieved now?" He didn't answer, but instead asked her a question.
She touched her head. "I guess I feel better now..."
"Then I'll be happy." He smiled, a soft light appearing in his dark eyes.
After a moment of triumph, he patted the boy on the head and said, "Not bad, you're so young and you already know how to flirt with girls. You're definitely a good kid I've raised."
"I'm not a child."
"You're only twelve years old, you're still young."
He stubbornly insisted, "I'll be grown up soon."
Seeing his sudden serious expression, Feng Guang felt a strange mix of emotions.
The people over there were still making a ruckus. Xianmo said softly, "Fengguang, let's go."
"Um……"
The road back to Yihe Palace was blocked by that group of people, so they had no choice but to take a long detour. It would have been better if they hadn't taken the detour, because as they did, they ran into someone.
Zou He leaned against a tree trunk, a wine bottle still in his hand. His face was flushed with alcohol, and he recited, "Having seen the vast ocean, other waters are nothing; having beheld the clouds of Wushan, other clouds are nothing. I idly stroll through the flowerbeds, too lazy to look back; half for cultivating the Tao, half for you..."
