Fengguang's life seemed to have returned to normal, except that Guardian would no longer inject her with drugs or restrict her personal freedom. He would simply follow her wherever she went.
She had never left the Land of the Gospel, but seeing this empty safe zone again, she still felt as if she had been transported to another world. The flowers in front of the cabin were in bloom, and even more weeds had grown. Her room was no different from before. The Guardian seemed to have become even gentler, from being good-tempered before to having no temper now.
Fengguang makes many demands of him, and even more unreasonable ones, but no matter how deliberately torturous the demands are, he will gladly accept them. For example, she said she wanted to see red, the kind of flowing red.
Guardian would laugh as he cut large and small wounds on his body with a knife, leaving flowing red marks, but he felt no satisfaction whatsoever.
Feng Guang would also say she wanted to go outside and see the world. She would deliberately walk into the zombie horde and watch him hold her in his arms, his body torn to pieces by the bites. Then, he would appear in front of her in a new body, with a smile on his face as always, and make her a delicious breakfast.
That day, she stood by the window watching the falling yellow leaves, and suddenly said to the man who was combing her hair, "Guardian, am I your primary person of authority?"
“Fengguang is my love.” He hugged her from behind, rested his chin on the top of her head, and whispered, “We are husband and wife.”
She calmly looked out the window. "What if I said I wanted to be your primary authority?"
"If Feng Guang likes it, then that's fine." He lowered his gaze slightly, a hint of sadness hidden in the smile on his lips.
After a long silence, she turned around and hugged him, saying sweetly, "Guardian, I want some chocolate. Can you go outside and find some?"
"Okay." He agreed with a smile. The apocalypse had been going on for so many years, and it was even more difficult to find the ingredients for chocolate.
That afternoon, at the entrance of the base, Feng Guang tiptoed and lightly kissed the corner of his lips, "Guardian, come back soon."
He nodded and left with a smile.
Ten minutes later, standing at the door of the control room, Feng Guang, as the person with the highest authority, entered the tightly protected central control room. The crystals on the glass pillars refracted beautiful light, just like the Guardian. She would never deny that if he were human, he would be a dazzling human.
However, she wasn't there to admire the gun.
Alone in the room, she spoke up, "Guardian, why didn't you stop me?"
“I will grant all of Fengguang’s wishes.” He stood at the door with a smile. “Sorry, I came back without finding the chocolate.”
“It’s alright.” Feng Guang’s gun was pointed at the crystal. “Guardian, let’s leave this world together, okay?”
"If it's with the scenery... I'd be willing to go anywhere."
She smiled and said, "Okay, let's start with your body then."
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, and blood flowed from Guardian's body. The blood in his chest was flowing too fast, and his body was slightly unsteady. He could only hold onto the wall for support, but soon, the feeling of powerlessness made his body slowly slide to the ground. He watched her walk towards him step by step, and the smile on his lips did not change.
