Wang Ci had no objections. It should be said that she was busy dealing with company matters every day and simply didn't have time for such trivial matters. Otherwise, why would she have entrusted the moving to Xia Chao? Although it was a bit far from her company in the suburbs, the environment was quiet, allowing her to work properly even when she was at home.
On a sunny day, they moved into their new home. The moving company was carrying things in and out, causing quite a commotion.
Fengguang didn't need any help, so she began to admire the surrounding scenery. The view was expansive, with greenery as far as the eye could see, which was refreshing. This was a nice suburb, but also a well-known wealthy area, with white villas rising one after another. It seemed that many people were increasingly learning to enjoy life.
Gazing at the beautiful scenery, Feng Guang stretched and glanced at the swing under the banyan tree. Intrigued, she walked over. The swing was covered in dust and fallen leaves and hadn't been used for a long time. Suddenly, as if sensing something, she looked up and gazed at the window of a villa not far away.
Only the blue curtains on the French windows swayed slightly; nothing else could be seen. She stood there for a long time until Wang Ci called her. Feng Guang ran back, ignoring Wang Ci, and rummaged through a pile of things to find the gifts she had prepared for her neighbors. She took out a box, waved, and left with the words, "I'm going to say hello to my neighbors" before running off.
Feng Guang ran to the neighbor's house and rang the doorbell on the iron gate. After a while, a very young but very magnetic voice came from inside: "May I ask who this is?"
"I just moved in today, and I live right next door to you. I wanted to say hello."
There was a moment of silence on the other end before someone said, "Please come in."
The iron gate slowly opened, and Feng Guang, carrying the box, walked in unhurriedly. She passed through the courtyard with flowers and water, and was amazed by the red roses climbing the wall. She walked to the door and knocked on the wooden door.
Not long after, the door opened, and she saw a young man in a wheelchair with a high, straight nose and thin, bloodless lips. His skin was sickly pale, but no one could say he was unattractive. On the contrary, his pale complexion and thin body gave him a sense of fragility, but paired with his flawless face, this seemingly weak young man was simply...something to push over!
Feng Guang was so captivated by his beauty that she didn't care at all that he had appeared in a wheelchair. Even though she was filled with lust, she wouldn't show her infatuation, because she was always the one being admired.
She didn't forget her purpose, and handed over the things in her hand with a smile, "Hello, my name is Xia Fengguang. From now on, we are neighbors. This is just a small token of my appreciation, please don't mind."
"Thank you." He accepted her gift, a gentle smile playing on his lips, as if spring flowers were blooming in his smile. "My name is An Tong, welcome to our place."
"An Tong... your name is so beautiful." She smiled, her eyes sparkling like stars. "I see so many flowers in your courtyard, did you plant them all?"
"It's just something I planted in my spare time, nothing special."
"No, no, no, the flowers you planted are so beautiful. My dad also likes to grow flowers, but he didn't have a place to plant them before, and he's still a beginner. If he doesn't grow them well in the future, can I come to you for advice?"
His smile carried a refreshing gentleness, untouched by worldly concerns. "Of course."
Feng Guang felt completely healed.
