"I'm not a child anymore!" This sentence ignited her fiery temper. "I'll be eighteen soon!"
"Isn't she still a child?" An Tong looked up at her, a faint smile in her eyes.
"You're not talking about my age, you're saying I'm immature!" Feng Guang gritted his teeth, seeing the true meaning in his smile.
He beckoned, "Come here."
"What are you doing?" she asked, taking another step closer to him.
"Squat down a little."
Feng Guangyi looked at him with confusion, and then he pinned the red rose in her hair.
"Indeed, red suits you very well."
Her heart stopped beating for a second, and she asked blankly, "What do you mean?"
"I'm saying you're beautiful."
She pouted in dissatisfaction, "That's it?"
“That’s it.” An Tong’s voice was always the most beautiful.
But Feng Guang wasn't satisfied. She was convinced that there was something else going on, so she asked uncertainly, "Do you... like me even a little bit?"
"Maybe."
The ambiguous answer made the girl pout angrily.
Her pouty expression was so adorable that An Tong chuckled. He said softly, "I plan to plant white roses here tomorrow. Would you like to help me?"
"I do!" she said, raising her hand excitedly. The red rose in her hair accentuated her fair skin, which was as white as snow.
An Tong lowered his gaze. He could guarantee that a flower would bloom in its most beautiful form, but he was not confident that he could guarantee that he could do the same for people.
Everything in this world has such a short shelf life.
Feng Guang was in a great mood. When she skipped and hopped out of the An family villa, it was almost seven o'clock. She held her face in her hands and thought excitedly that she felt she had gotten a lot closer to her idol!
"Miss Xia!" Li Bi, who had been waiting for a long time, called out to her.
Feng Guang turned around, blinked, and asked, "Who are you?"
"Hello, my name is Li Bi." He took out his police ID, showed it to her, and then put it back, saying, "I am a police officer."
Feng Guang was surprised. "Police? I never do anything wrong, let alone break the law. I never run red lights, and I always wait for people to get off before getting on the bus. My Youth League membership card is still at home!"
"Pfft!" another young policeman laughed.
Li Bi glanced at his lackey and tried to smile kindly. "Miss Xia, please don't misunderstand. I'm not here because you've done something wrong, but to find out more about the situation."
Hearing that it wasn't because she had done anything wrong, she breathed a sigh of relief. "What do you want to know about me?"
"I know you and Mr. An Tong are neighbors, but I don't know what your relationship with him is like?"
"The relationship between the pursuer and the pursued."
"What?! He's pursuing you?!" the follower exclaimed indignantly. "You're still a minor!"
"No, I'm the one pursuing him."
The follower paused for a moment, then quickly shouted again, "How can high school students be in relationships!"
"Why can't high school students date? I don't have to worry about my studies."
"Early love is like a flower that will never bear fruit..."
Li Bi elbowed his henchman in the stomach. The henchman groaned, took a step back in grievance, and decided to remain silent.
"Miss Xia, please ignore him. Let's continue discussing Mr. An's matter." Li Bi was a policeman, not the director of the political education department. He wouldn't care about a young girl's love life. Besides, to be fair, someone like An Tong was indeed very attractive to young girls.
"You said you wanted to talk about An Tong, what happened to him?"
"Has Miss Xia met Mr. An's mother?"
