"Go find Little Embroidered Ball," Feng Guang said matter-of-factly, walking out the door with an open and aboveboard air.
The guards at the gate dared not stop her, because the madam had said that the young lady could go wherever she wanted, and no one could stop her.
Lianzi chased after Fengguang, "But Miss... isn't Little Embroidered Ball playing with its fluffy ball in the manor?"
"Who said that? It's just gone. If you don't believe me, go and see if the little hydrangea is in my room."
"Miss, wait a minute, I'll go take a look!" With that, Lianzi dashed back to the Xia residence.
Are you that easy to fool?
A triumphant smile spread across her face. Lifting her skirt, she ran off on her short legs. Soon, she reached the gate of Linglong Manor. The gate was still tightly closed, but just thinking about seeing that man soon made her heart pound. She still didn't understand why this man had such a fatal attraction for her, but that didn't stop her from putting her desire to see him into practice.
All the excuses I had been thinking about to see him seemed like a joke. Since I wanted to see him, I should just go see him. Why bother thinking so much?
Feng Guang had just stepped onto the steps and hadn't even had a chance to knock when the door opened. A middle-aged man stood in the doorway. Seeing a young girl standing there, he paused for a moment. "So it's Miss Xia. Are you here to see the young master?"
Feng Guang recognized him as the housekeeper of Linglong Manor, but she was unusually shy for a moment after he directly exposed her thoughts before nodding, "I'm here to see Shu Feng... Is he here?"
Actually, the last question was a pointless question. Everyone in Tong County knew that the owner of Linglong Manor never left the manor.
"The master is sitting in the pavilion under the loquat tree. Miss Xia, please come in." Uncle Fu took a step to the side and said kindly, "Does Miss Xia know the way?"
"I know him." She first met Shufeng under that pavilion, so she still had a deep impression of that place.
Uncle Fu smiled and said, "That's good. I'm going out to buy some things, so I won't lead the way for Miss Xia."
"Okay, don't worry, I know the way."
Uncle Fu said "okay," nodded, and then walked out of Linglong Manor.
Fengguang walked deeper into the courtyard and saw a grove of crabapple trees, followed by a loquat tree with lush foliage that stood out like a crane among chickens. In the pavilion beneath the tree, a man in white robes and with white hair sat quietly. The wind lifted his hair, and the white hair made his face seem even paler. The breeze once again carried the faint scent of medicine emanating from him.
He held the teacup in his beautiful hands, savoring the tea. However, just as the rim of the teacup was about to touch his lips, he sensed something, paused, turned his head slightly, and smiled. "So it's the scenery."
Being caught peeping at someone, Feng Guang wasn't at all guilty. She walked over and stared at him for a long time.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Shu Feng put down his teacup, tilted his head slightly, and let his unbound white hair lazily slide over his shoulders, with a strand hanging down in front of his chest.
He is breathtakingly beautiful.
Feng Guang blinked and asked, "Are you sick?"
“Some old ailments.” He asked, “Is Feng Guang worried?”
"Well, although the smell of medicine on you isn't unpleasant, I still don't want you to smell like medicine."
He smiled faintly, "But if I don't take the medicine, I might never be able to see the scenery again."
