Chapter 1730 Conquering the Dark Wizard

Knowing full well that Herman wasn't a joker, why did she have the audacity to joke with him?

Feng Guang was secretly annoyed. She glanced at Herman's expression and, seeing that it wasn't optimistic, quickly lowered her head obediently, putting on a good show of admitting her mistake and correcting it.

There was a brief moment of stillness in the air.

Just as Feng Guang was feeling completely lost, Herman finally spoke, "Your Highness."

"Yes!" Feng Guang straightened his back and stood up straight.

"You are very beautiful too."

What?

Feng Guang was stunned. She slowly raised her head, and when she saw Herman's serious expression, she realized that he was not joking.

Feng Guang didn't know that as a proper gentleman, reciprocity is the most basic principle. Since Feng Guang praised him, he should of course praise her back, especially since it was a lady who praised him. Even though Feng Guang is small and cannot be called a lady, she can still be considered a female creature.

Reciprocity is just basic gentlemanly conduct, but to others, the fact that Hermann, who is usually stern and unsmiling, would actually compliment someone is more astonishing than the sun rising in the west.

Because of Herman's aloof nature, even though he was indeed good-looking, no one ever dared to say anything like that about him in front of him. So no one knew that after praising Herman, he would actually return the compliment.

Looking at Herman like this, Feng Guang's eyes widened in astonishment, as if she had discovered a new continent. She blinked and patted her face. "Your Excellency... am I dreaming?"

He actually compliments people now?

Herman ignored Feng Guang's surprised expression and said coldly, "Your Highness, I have other matters to attend to, so I will take my leave now."

After Herman finished speaking, he turned to leave, but he had only taken one step when he felt someone grab the hem of his clothes. He looked down and saw the scenery rushing behind him.

Feng Guang frowned and said, "Father Phil is back, and I don't want to choose a personal attendant."

As soon as he finished speaking, Feng Guang lifted Herman's large monk's robe and slipped inside. Herman felt someone tightly hugging his legs. His face stiffened because it was improper. He was about to pull the person out from behind him when Father Phil walked over.

“Your Excellency.” Father Phil bowed, followed by three young men.

Hermann nodded coolly. In front of others, he simply couldn't bring himself to do something as unseemly as pulling a naughty little princess out of his clothes.

Herman was never an approachable person, and Father Phil didn't think there was anything wrong with Herman's expression. He asked respectfully, "Has Your Excellency seen Her Highness the Princess?"

“Your Highness…” Herman felt his leg being gripped so tightly by the little girl that it was almost deformed. He paused, then spoke again, “I didn’t see her.”

“Alas…” Father Phil sighed, “I brought three candidates for her personal attendants for Her Highness to choose from, but when I returned, Her Highness had already disappeared. What should we do?”

"Since Her Highness the Princess is missing, let's go look for her."

"Your Excellency, you don't know, Her Highness the Princess is always full of tricks. If she wants to hide, it's really not easy to find her."

That's right! The glory is right behind Hermann, but he hasn't been able to find it.
