She took out the sausage, glanced at the expiration date on the packaging, and thought it would expire in a week. She figured it should be fine to eat this. She also took out two eggs from the refrigerator and went into the kitchen.
Ming'an immediately followed her inside. "Little girl, you can cook?"
"No." Feng Guang coldly uttered two words. Under Ming An's silent gaze, she took out her phone, opened a webpage, and searched for "eggs and sausages." Immediately, recipes for frying eggs and sausages appeared.
Ming An stroked his chin and clicked his tongue twice, "So that's how you use a cell phone..."
"Are you some kind of old-fashioned person?" Feng Guang glanced at him. "You don't even know how to use a phone's search function?"
He sighed helplessly, "I'm not very good at using modern electronic products."
Listening to his tone, Feng Guang was reminded of her stubborn old father. Her father wasn't interested in cell phones or computers either; perhaps people from hundreds of years ago were just as slow to react.
She ignored him, first washing the pan thoroughly, then following the instructions on the webpage, she first cracked the eggs, then chopped the sausage, then poured the sausage into the egg mixture and stirred it well. She heated the pan with oil, then poured all the egg and sausage mixture into the pan at once, frying one side until golden brown, then flipping it over to fry the other side. Once both sides were golden brown, she scrambled the eggs and successfully plated the dish.
Ming An was amazed by her series of actions.
She gave him a smug snort, though it was actually her first time cooking and she did a surprisingly smooth job... But she quickly realized that maybe she had been a full-time housewife in some other world, which gave her an instinct to cook, allowing her to show off in front of this man.
She thought for a moment, then looked at Ming'an standing next to her. Ming'an blinked, puzzled, when she met her gaze.
She suddenly felt sorry for him, an elderly man with poor life skills who didn't know how to take care of himself... oh, a hopeless elderly man.
She took out a bowl, divided the food from the plate into half of the bowl, and then put the bowl in his hand. "Don't eat instant noodles every day. You should eat some healthy food once in a while."
After saying that, she picked up her plate of food and walked out of the kitchen. Although there was no rice, having some vegetables was enough to fill her stomach.
Ming An watched her retreating figure, his nonchalant yet dark eyes narrowing slightly before lifting them a little higher, and then he too walked out of the kitchen.
Because of her years of aristocratic education, Feng Guang displayed excellent manners at the dinner table. She didn't speak or make any noise with her bowl and chopsticks. At this moment, she finally appeared to be a noble lady.
Ming An was different; he did whatever made him comfortable. The little black cat, who had appeared out of nowhere, meowed and jumped onto the table. He lovingly picked out some food and placed it in front of the cat, while patting its head and saying, "Little Black, Little Black, you've been with me for so many years and suffered a lot. Today you can finally eat something normal."
"Hey!" Feng Guang looked up at him, "Cats can't eat sausages!"
Ming An rested her chin on her hand, turned her head and looked at her with a smile, "It's okay, Xiao Hei is not an ordinary cat, it grew up drinking my blood."
She asked in confusion, "Grown up drinking your blood?"
