The car suddenly stopped, and Guardian's deep voice rang out, "Miss Xia, Mr. Xia, the BOSS has arrived. Please get out of the car."
Feng Guang looked back out the car window and, sure enough, saw several cars parked ahead. Xia Chao got out of one of them. She turned back happily and said, "Dad's here! I'll go and ask him to find Shu Bai for a solution!"
She got off Xia Fengying, opened the car door and got out. There was no joy in Xia Fengying's eyes, because he knew very well what was going to happen next; he knew his father.
But he still got out of the car and walked behind Fengguang. If he could die in front of her as a human being, instead of a zombie, perhaps that would be a good thing.
Xia Chao only heard Jun Ze's report about Feng Guang's departure after returning to the safe zone. He rushed over immediately. He was relieved to see that Feng Guang was alright, but when he saw Xia Fengying, who was clearly bitten, behind Feng Guang, he frowned and quickly drew his gun.
Feng Guang paused, and the joy on her face froze, but quickly, she shielded Xia Fengying behind her. "Dad, what do you want to do?"
Xia Chao asked indifferently, "Feng Guang, how long has Feng Ying been bitten?"
"About..." Xia Fengying glanced at her watch and smiled easily, "It's been about twenty minutes."
His eyes were already darkening, and the veins on the back of his hands were bulging, showing that he was trying his best to suppress the urge to bite.
“Fengguang, come here,” Xia Chao said gently. “You can’t stay by his side any longer.”
"If I get there, Dad, are you planning to just shoot me?"
“You know very well that someone bitten by a zombie is essentially dead,” Xia Chao said in a deep voice. “There’s nothing we can do about it.”
"I know there's no way! But I can't just watch you beat my brother to death. Dad, my brother is your child too. You can't just abandon him like this!"
Xia Chao's gentle gaze was like that of someone looking at a sulking child. He slowly said, "Feng Guang, there is nothing I cannot give up except you and your mother."
