Chapter 113 Love-struck × Spoiled Educated Youth 11

The man worked swiftly and efficiently, quickly filling the basket.

After he finished Liuyin's task for the day, they could spend the rest of their time together.

Thinking of this, Feng Wenyun felt full of energy and quickened her pace.

In early summer, the sun wasn't particularly scorching. Looking at the sun already hanging on the horizon, Liu Yin squinted slightly and raised her hand to shield her forehead.

My thoughts had unconsciously drifted far away.

This is the first time 003 has not appeared; I wonder what happened to it.

The anger Liuyin felt when she first arrived had long since dissipated.

Aside from being a bit backward, this place isn't bad at all; the air and scenery are quite nice.

Even the people here have a simple and honest charm.

With the things in the space and the money 003 prepared, she won't have a bad life here.

However, it's still not as good as when she stayed in the bamboo forest with 003 before, at least 003 would cook for her.

Suddenly a shadow fell in front of her. Liu Yin looked up and met the man's gaze.

She glanced instinctively behind him. "All done?"

"Okay." Feng Wenyun squatted down and took Liuyin's hand. "I'll take you somewhere later."

He felt that today's opportunity was quite good, as he could bring Liuyin along.

There was no specific area designated for cutting pig feed; however, most of the other female educated youth and children would choose to work together.

Now that he has Liuyin with him, he can avoid them.

Feng Wenyun took Liuyin to the woods behind the meadow, where there was a stream.

The closer you get, the clearer the sound of the babbling brook becomes.

The surrounding trees cast large shadows on the ground, while sparse sunlight filtered through the gaps, leaving patches of light on the ground.

The man led Liuyin to a tree, where a crystal-clear stream lay before them.

"I used to come here often when I was little."

"In the summer, with the shade of these trees and the breeze, it's not hot at all."

After listening to Feng Wenyun's words, Liu Yin nodded, closed her eyes, and felt the breeze on her face. "It's really not hot here."

The fresh air in the woods is also very pleasant.

The clear stream water was ankle-deep. Feng Wenyun stood by the stream, holding Liuyin's hand, watching Liuyin carefully walk on the pebbles.

"Don't worry, you won't fall while I'm holding your hand."

Liu Yin blinked. "What if I drag you down with me?"

The man couldn't help but smile at the question, "Then let's fall together."

"I'll put it underneath."

The two stayed there until almost noon before heading back, by which time Liang Lan had already prepared dinner at home.

Seeing Feng Wenyun and Liu Yin return, she wisely refrained from asking any further questions and chatted with them as usual.

Sometimes her parents-in-law would come back for lunch, but more often, Liang Lan would bring them food to the fields.

Liu Yin's life as a sent-down youth was very peaceful.

Since she had always stayed in the Feng family, she naturally couldn't hear the gossip outside.

Feng Wenyun was a well-known figure in the village. After all, his father was the village head, and he himself was quite famous.

Anyone who mentions the captain's youngest son will inevitably compare him to his two older brothers.

The result is naturally inferior.

No adult man in the village has skin as fair as his; he's almost as fair as some of the young girls.

Everyone knows that the brigade leader's youngest son has never worked in the fields; he's always lazing around at home or going out to play with his cronies.

They rarely saw him in the fields before.

But recently, some people have noticed that they've seen Feng Wenyun far too often these past few days.

But almost every time, he was following behind that female educated youth.

They also knew that the beautiful female educated youth was staying at the brigade leader's house, and that it was Feng Wenyun herself who agreed to it; many people had seen it.

The villagers were not familiar with Liuyin either.

Aside from the first time I saw her when I arrived, I could only see her every day on the ridges between the fields.

In their eyes, the newly arrived female educated youth was exceptionally beautiful and delicate, but her chances of getting married were not good.

This came from the educated youth compound.

Even though Feng Wenyun explained that he was showing her the way because she was unfamiliar with the area, no one believed him.

If a kind-hearted person did this, perhaps some people would believe it, but Feng Wenyun is known in the village as lazy.

Since the two lived close by, they inevitably became the subject of gossip.

After all, there's really not much fun in the countryside besides the endless farm work.

In their spare time, a large group of people gather under the ancient tree at the entrance of the village, fanning themselves and chatting about recent interesting events.

The affair between Feng Wenyun and Liu Yin is one of the topics of conversation.

According to them, the youngest son of the brigade leader had fallen for the beautiful new educated youth and kept showering her with attention.

As for the female educated youth, she didn't seem to refuse.

However, this is a common occurrence.

Among the female educated youth of previous years, there were some pretty ones, and some would help them with their work to lighten their burden.

However, men aren't stupid. They can see right through you whether you're interested or not. Without a return gift, why would anyone willingly keep helping you?

It was extremely rare for educated youth to marry villagers.

After all, it's only been two or three years, and everyone is thinking about going back to the city. Who would want to waste their whole life in this village?

Therefore, when they talked about Feng Wenyun and Liuyin at the village entrance, they mostly did so with a hint of teasing.
