Setting: Upon witnessing Liu Yin and Ye Huaizhi's interaction, she became jealous and got drunk.
Zhou Wang was unhappy all day afterward, keeping a long face, and anyone could tell he was in a bad mood.
He didn't manage to get the first date, and he even subtly noticed that Liu Yin's attitude towards him had changed.
Zhou Wang was somewhat confused; why was that?
As night fell, the people who had gone out on their dates had not yet returned, while the rest of the group had already begun preparing dinner.
Even though he wasn't very happy, Zhou Wang still obediently went to the kitchen. Liu Yin had come back so late; she was probably hungry.
After the meal was prepared, the group sat at the table in silence.
Zhou Wang was thinking about his own things with his head down, as were the other two.
He Jiaojiao and Jiang Yao exchanged a glance, and then Jiang Yao spoke first, "If you're hungry, let's eat first, and we can save some food for you later."
"You guys eat first." Fu Chuji adjusted her glasses and then continued staring at her phone screen.
Jiang Xingci glanced at him briefly and noticed that the man's phone screen was filled with pictures of desserts. What was he looking for these for?
Even so, no one touched the food on the table.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, everyone finally heard faint voices coming from outside.
Zhou Wang naturally heard this as well, and without the slightest hesitation, he prepared to go outside to take a look.
Jiang Xingci originally wanted to go as well, but seeing that Zhou Wang had already left, he didn't move, his expression ambiguous.
Before he even reached the door, Zhou Wang heard laughter outside. It was Liu Yin's voice. Realizing this, he unconsciously slowed his pace.
As dusk fell, it wasn't very bright outside, but Zhou Wang could still clearly see the smile on Liu Yin's face and the distance between the two.
She was wearing Ye Huaizhi's coat, and it was cold now, so it was indeed the right thing to do, Zhou Wang thought to herself, while clenching her fists tightly.
Liu Yin and Ye Huaizhi were naturally aware of being stared at by a burning gaze, but without even looking up, Ye Huaizhi knew who was waiting at the door.
Liu Yin paused, her smile fading slightly, and then looked towards the doorway.
The man stood against the light, his outline flickering between light and shadow. Liu Yin couldn't make out the expression on Zhou Wang's face, but she heard his voice.
"You're back." Zhou Wang tried his best to suppress the bitterness in his heart and make his voice sound normal.
"Mm." Liu Yin nodded, her eyes lowered, and she didn't look at him again.
Ye Huaizhi suddenly spoke up, "It's cold outside, let's go inside."
The night at the beach was indeed very cold. Zhou Wang felt that he had never felt so cold before. At the same time, he thought bitterly to himself, "No wonder Ye Huaizhi sent flowers this morning. He knew about Liu Yin's profession all along!"
Zhou Wang suddenly regretted not calling Shen Yan last night to ask about Liu Yin's situation.
The two brushed past each other. Zhou Wang looked down as Liu Yin passed by him, but she didn't look at him!
A very low chuckle sounded in his ear. A cold glint flashed in Zhou Wang's eyes. He glanced at the smile on Ye Huaizhi's lips and felt a lump in his throat.
"Liu Yin and I ate out. I'm sorry I didn't tell you beforehand." Ye Huaizhi glanced at the bowls and chopsticks on the table, a slight apology on his face.
"Going out on a mission and they even cover dinner?" Zhou Wang followed behind the two.
"Yes." Ye Huaizhi nodded with a smile, seemingly casually saying, "You'll know next time you have the chance."
Before Zhou Wang could say anything more, Liu Yin spoke up first, "I'm a little tired, so I'll go up first."
