Chapter 137 The Passionate Painter × The Materialistic White Moonlight 7

The villa that Liang Nanxing mentioned was actually right next to his house; the two places were very close.

The empty villa was bought for him by his brother, but Liang Nanxing liked to paint and wasn't satisfied with the lighting there, so he bought another one next door.

He was actually somewhat relieved that the place was empty, which would allow Liuyin and Xize to stay.

This way, they'll have more opportunities to meet.

Liang Nanxing first took Liu Yin and Xize to his house. When the two got out of the car, he explained, "That villa has been empty. I'll have the housekeeper clean it before you move in."

"good."

Liuyin didn't mind when she moved in, but after glancing at Xize who was yawning, she touched his golden curly hair and then looked at the man who looked a little embarrassed.

Liang Nanxing naturally noticed Liu Yin's actions as well. "Xiao Xi is a little sleepy. Let's take him to rest first."

He pulled his suitcase forward, gesturing for Liu Yin and the other to follow behind him.

Liang Nanxing always lived alone in this villa, so the guest room was completely empty.

Seeing the child already rubbing his eyes, Liang Nanxing led him to his bedroom and asked in a low voice, "Can you sleep here?"

He gently pinched that cute little face, which looked nothing like Liuyin.

Perhaps the only similarity is their outstanding appearance, which can attract attention at a glance.

Xize frowned slightly after his cheek was pinched, looking at the strange uncle in front of him with a puzzled expression.

"Of course you can."

Where else would he sleep if not in bed? Xize thought the uncle's question was really unnecessary!

"That's good." Liang Nanxing breathed a slight sigh of relief. Fortunately, he was a bit of a germaphobe, so the room wasn't dirty or messy.

He didn't want to leave Liuyin's son with a slovenly impression.

After taking off Xize's shoes, Liang Nanxing gently covered him with a blanket.

The child was probably already very tired from the journey, and fell asleep as soon as he touched the bed. This time, Liang Nanxing truly witnessed what it meant to fall asleep in a second.

The man's lips unconsciously curved into a smile as he tiptoed out.

Liu Yin was sitting on the sofa flipping through a picture book when Liang Nanxing suddenly came into view. She casually asked, "Is Xiao Xi asleep?"

“He’s asleep.” Liang Nanxing sat down next to Liu Yin. “He falls asleep very quickly.”

Seeing the sketchbook Liu Yin was flipping through, Liang Nanxing suddenly felt a little nervous, as he wasn't actually satisfied with his own paintings.

No matter how much outsiders praise you, the opinion of the person you care about will still be different.

He was filled with both anticipation and nervousness. It felt as if there was a chasm ahead of him, and a single sentence from Liuyin could determine whether he would fall into the abyss.

“I remember…” A familiar voice rang in his ears, and Liang Nanxing held his breath.

"Didn't you always say you wanted to study portraiture? Why are you always shooting landscapes?"

Concealing the slight disappointment in her heart, Liang Nanxing gently adjusted her glasses and said with a smile, "It's kind of you to still remember these things."

"At first I did like painting portraits, but later I felt that painting landscapes suited me better."

Liang Nanxing loves to draw, but his family hopes he will study finance in the future. During high school, he often argued with his family about this.

Things only got better after my brother got married.

After painting Liuyin's picture, Liang Nanxing never mentioned learning to paint again.

His natural talent led him to develop a love for landscape painting. Even without formal training, the freedom and unrestrained spirit in his paintings were highly sought after.

Liang Nanxing's words made Liu Yin's eyes flash with deep thought; it seemed that the plot had changed a bit.

In the original storyline, Liang Nanxing was a very famous painter because he could master various styles of painting, unlike now, where he is only confined to landscape painting.

This shouldn't be her problem, right?

Liu Yin knew that Liang Nanxing had a crush on her in high school, but she didn't do anything to Liang Nanxing back then.

They were just friends, or rather, not even friends.

"But you paint quite well. I've seen your paintings at art exhibitions abroad before."

"Xiao Xi has recently started learning to draw. Could you please teach him?"

The two were very close, and the man could even vaguely smell the fragrance emanating from Liu Yin.

As Liu Yin spoke, she slightly raised her face, making eye contact with the man.

Seeing Liu Yin's tender and affectionate eyes, Liang Nanxing's mind went blank. He nodded, "Of course."

"But why didn't your husband come back with you this time?"

Even though he knew it was impolite to ask about Liu Yin's private affairs so soon, Liang Nanxing still found it hard to resist.

He had even prepared an explanation; he was just a little worried about Liuyin and Xiaoxi.

After all, she hadn't been back to China for ten years. It was incredibly irresponsible of that man to let Liuyin bring the child back on her own.

He just wanted to tell Liuyin these things, nothing more.

"Husband?" Liu Yin looked up at him. "I divorced him a long time ago."

Divorced?

Liang Nanxing was initially incredulous, but then overjoyed, and he was at a loss for words.

He naturally thought that Liu Yin's divorce was a good thing, but he couldn't say it outright. If he said it was a good thing, would Liu Yin think that he didn't want her to be happy?

But if I comfort her like this, won't it remind Liuyin of her ex-husband?
