Chapter 164 The Love and Hate of a Courtesan (Twenty-Five)

Shi Lan was exhausted at this point. She turned to look at the hall, wanting to call someone for help, but Yao Geluo suddenly grabbed her arm and held on tightly.

Shi Lan frowned and raised her foot to kick.

Despite being kicked three times and bleeding from the corner of his mouth, Yao Geluo still clung to her tightly. To hold Shi Lan back, he even wrapped his legs around her feet to prevent her from moving.

Shi Lan is, after all, a woman. She is certainly capable of fighting alone, but when it comes to dragging people like pigs, two of them are simply too much for her to handle.

Old Liu knew this was his last chance. He disregarded his injured leg and quickly hooked himself onto the pillar. Even though he was almost suffocating, he still held onto a sliver of clarity and struggled to break free.

Shi Lan struggled to pull the person out of the inner room.

The weather had turned cool by then, and Liu was wearing a satin robe. Although the material wasn't as light and thin as it was in summer, it couldn't withstand the two of them tearing at it. Just as Shi Lan increased her strength and pulled desperately, the collar finally snapped with a 'rip'.

Shi Lan hadn't expected the material to be so flimsy. The recoil caused her to stagger and fall to the ground. Yao Geluo, who had already wrapped his limbs around Shi Lan, also fell to the ground with her.

The weight of the adult man suddenly pressed down on her, and Shi Lan groaned, feeling that even breathing was difficult.

Liu Weng coughed as he stood up, clutching his neck. He saw Shi Lan trapped by Yao Geluo and unable to escape, and his eyes were filled with resentment.

In his eyes, Shi Lan was a slave girl he bought, and everything she had was given to her by him. Yet she betrayed him and even brought Yue Zhan and others to arrest him. In their clan, this was undoubtedly a capital offense.

Old Liu walked to the side, took down the waist knife from the shelf, and slowly thrust out the blade.

Those who betray must pay the price. The gleaming blade reflected in Liu Weng's face, making him appear particularly ferocious and terrifying.

Bu Mingbo had lived for over twenty years and had never seen such a scene of swords and shadows. He was momentarily stunned, and Shi Weng's actions made him even more frightened, causing him to take two steps back.

In this situation, a slight misstep could cost him his life. Bu Mingbo could no longer care about the bright future Ashina had painted for him; he needed to be alive to enjoy the benefits of returning to the Turkic Khaganate.

He turned his gaze to the dark, shivering cave entrance, and looked around. Liu Weng was busy dealing with Shi Lan and had no time to spare.

Bu Mingbo immediately flipped onto the bed and nimbly shuffled inside.

Shi Lan smiled slightly when she saw Bu Mingbo's actions, her gaze flickering.

Liu Weng immediately sensed something amiss behind him, but out of caution against Shi Lan, he only dared to glance at her quickly.

But just that one glance was enough to ignite his fury. At the moment when he was risking his life to fight someone, this lowly thing dared to escape on its own. Liu cursed and turned around to deliver a horizontal slash.

Bu Mingbo tried to get out quickly, but by then his legs were already inside the hole, and it was too late.

Almost instantly, his waist and legs separated.

Blood gushed out like a fountain. Old Liu cursed and turned around, but he was still sprayed with blood all over his head and face.

Shi Lan had already broken free from Yao Geluo and was getting up, propping herself up on her arms, preparing to grab Liu Weng.

Yaogeluo was already delirious, but he still stubbornly got up and lunged forward, trying to grab Shi Lan and buy some time for his master.

Shi Lan dodged to the side, and Yao Geluo stumbled and fell to the ground.

Shi Lan looked down at him and shook her head. Although she admired his unwavering loyalty, she could not change her original intention.

As Liu was dragging Bu Mingbo's severed body, he saw Shi Lan approaching and quickly gripped the blade of his knife, watching her get closer with a look of panic.

Undeniably, Shi Lan, who easily dealt a heavy blow to Granny Gu and effortlessly escaped Yao Geluo, put a lot of pressure on him.

Shi Lan noticed his timidity, a smile playing on her lips, and her steps became graceful.

She miscalculated last time and accepted her defeat, but this time she has the advantage of timing and location, so it would be unreasonable to let him get away again.

Having spent decades navigating the mortal world, Liu Weng knew in his heart that this time the odds were against him, but he was unwilling to give up. If he hadn't even tried, wouldn't he have been unworthy of being called a member of the wolf clan?

Liu Weng roared and charged towards Shi Lan.

Shi Lanwei sidestepped and grabbed his wrist with her delicate hand. With a twist, she forced Liu Weng to turn his body and fall to the side, unable to move.

Shi Lan's fingers suddenly tightened, and a soft crack came from her knuckles. Liu Weng cried out in pain, and the waist knife in his hand clattered to the ground.

Shi Lan kicked the waist knife, sending it flying into a pillar, and then dragged Liu Weng outside again.

Old Liu cried out in pain, but could only stagger along with a limp.

Yao Gro slumped to the ground, struggling to get up little by little, his blood-stained hands laboriously pulling out the still trembling hilt of the knife.

Shi Lan walked to the door and looked into the hall. The previous fierce fighting had turned into a battle between the two. The other guards of the Liu family were either dead or captured. Only Ashina still had the strength to fight, but he was also showing signs of weakness.

"Guards, take him away," Shi Lan said with a smile, dragging out Old Man Liu from behind her.

Two soldiers rushed forward from the surrounding area to take over, but Shi Lan pushed Liu Weng forward.

Suddenly, a cool breeze blew behind her head, and a sense of alarm flashed through her mind. She instinctively flinched, trying to dodge.

Liu Weng turned his head to look behind him and saw Yao Geluo gripping the hilt of his knife tightly with both hands, charging towards Shi Lan with an indomitable spirit.

Liu Weng's eyes darted around, and he used his shoulder and back to forcefully shove Shi Lan backward. Shi Lan's body swayed, and she involuntarily leaned backward.

Shi Lan cursed under her breath, turned her head to look behind her, and caught a glimpse of a silver streak that was right in front of her in an instant. It was no longer possible to dodge it at this point, so Shi Lan simply grabbed Liu Weng and fell down with even more force.
