Chapter 231 The Grassroots Girl Who Cultivates Immortality (Part 8)

The newcomers were taken aback by Shi Lan's attitude. They looked at each other, and one of them reached out to block Shi Lan's path, saying, "No need for such trouble. Just hand over the prey to us and compensate us with one hundred... no, two hundred spirit stones as compensation."

Upon hearing about the substantial compensation, Shi Lan narrowed her eyes dangerously.

The beasts she hunted were all first-tier spirit beasts. Even if she skinned and dismembered them and sold them in the market, they probably wouldn't fetch many spirit stones.

Looking at the others, they were dressed in ordinary clothes, just like themselves, unlike the two from the Foreign Affairs Hall, whose cuffs were embroidered with water ripple patterns.

Shi Lan glanced coldly at the group and pointed her finger at the man's arm.

The man watched Shi Lan's actions with complete indifference, even smugly shaking his head.

The others, finding his reaction amusing, burst into laughter.

Despite being mocked like that, Shi Lan was not angry. She simply pursed her lips and, as her fingertip touched the person, a flash of golden light disappeared in an instant.

The man had already channeled his true energy, waiting for Shi Lan's finger to fall so he could deflect her. However, Shi Lan's finger was like a piece of cotton, not only dissolving his true energy but also transforming it into a sharp needle that penetrated deep into his arm along his meridians.

The man screamed in pain, clutching his arm, and roared, "You little thief, you actually used dirty tricks?"

Shi Lan withdrew her finger, a smile playing on her lips, and looked back at her indifferently, saying, "So what if it is? If you're not convinced, you can come with me to the Foreign Affairs Hall, where I'm willing to wait and discuss things with you."

The man glanced at the stunned people around him and shouted, "What are you all standing there for?"

The crowd then snapped out of their daze and pulled out weapons from their storage bags, attacking Shi Lan.

Shi Lan curled her lip, dropped her prey, and quickly dealt with the rabble. Then, stepping on the man whose arm she had injured first, she said, "This place is mine from now on."

The man's face was deathly pale. The intense pain prevented him from speaking; he could only gasp and pant heavily.

Shi Lan lifted her foot, disdainfully kicked his arm, took out the prey whose feathers had been pinned down, snatched the storage bags from the group, and walked away leisurely.
