Chapter 241 The Grassroots Girl Who Cultivates Immortality (18)

Shi Lan turned to look at the little fish. (Latest and fastest updates)

What's going on here?

The little fish blew a bubble, circled twice around the water's edge in front of her, and then blew another bubble towards Shi Lan.

The bubbles floated gently, seemingly slowly, but actually enveloped Shi Lan very quickly. A child's voice huffed, "You're asking me? Who should I ask? Hey, you there, take what you want and get out of here. I don't have anything to offer you. And hand over all the stones you're holding. I've been starving for so many years, finally I have something to eat."

The child's voice spoke very quickly, and a series of words exploded in Shi Lan's ears like a machine gun.

Through the thin bubbles, Shi Lan looked at the little fish that was watching her.

"That's all the spirit stones I have left," Shi Lan said, opening the storage bag at her waist and taking out the few spirit stones she had left.

The little fish glanced at it disdainfully and waved its short fins.

The bubble, carrying Shi Lan, gradually rose into the air, surrounded by multicolored light, and the surrounding space seemed to distort under the illumination of the light.

Shi Lan felt a moment of disorientation, and when she came to her senses, she was already standing among rows of shelves.

Shi Lan looked around and unconsciously squeezed the storage bag.

The hard texture made her realize that what had happened before was not an illusion.

Passing through the now-empty floor, Shi Lan picked up a jade piece that was clearly much more worn out.

In an instant, her body felt light, as if something was pulling her backward.

Then, in a flash, she found herself standing outside the library.

There were still some people scattered around who hadn't left yet. When they saw Shi Lan, they all looked over at her.

Shi Lan shook her slightly dizzy head and turned to leave.

Jingkong twirled his prayer beads, chanted a Buddhist prayer, stepped forward, and said, "Fellow Daoist Shi, please wait a moment. This humble monk has something I wish to ask you."

Shi Lan stopped and turned to look at him.

Jingkong's lips curled slightly. "Fellow Daoist, you've been inside for so long, have you gained anything?"

Shi Lan frowned slightly and said calmly, "It's alright."

Jingkong's smile deepened slightly. "I wonder if you would be willing to share your harvest with us?"

Shi Lan stared at him with wide eyes, as if he were a monster. "Then, fellow Daoist, are you also willing to share your and your fellow disciples' gains with me?"

Jingkong, his smile undiminished, said, "Of course not."

Shi Lan nodded in understanding and said, "Fellow Daoist has cultivated for many years, so you should know the principle of 'Do not do to others what you would not have them do to you.'"

Jingkong said, "If it were anyone else, I would naturally not force them, but for a demoness who practices the evil art of aphrodisiac, I feel that no matter what I do, it is not too much."

Shi Lan sneered: "I am a disciple of the Qingyi Sect and practice orthodox cultivation methods. Which eye of yours saw me using evil magic?"

Jingkong glanced to the side, and someone immediately brought over Liu Minde, who was cowering to the side.

“This fellow Daoist Liu said he saw it with his own eyes, and it can’t be wrong.”

Shi Lan gave Liu Minde a cold glance, but the smile on her lips grew even stronger.

"I never expected that you, fellow cultivator, would be deceived by such a clown after so many years of cultivation," Shi Lan slowly walked up to Liu Minde, her dark eyes sweeping over him with a cold, sharp gaze.

Liu Minde shrugged, shrank back, and lowered his head, not daring to meet Shi Lan's gaze.

"Saw it with his own eyes?" Shi Lan scoffed. "Where did he see me, and who was I plotting against at the time?"

Jingkong glanced sideways at Liu Minde.

Liu Minde hung his head, mumbling incoherently.

Jingkong said, "Fellow Daoist Liu, there is no need to worry. You may speak frankly."

Liu Minde cursed inwardly. If he hadn't been careless and stumbled upon this place, how could he have ended up here? Liu Minde knew that Shi Lan probably hated him now. The help he had planned was gone just like that. Liu Minde wanted to embarrass Jing Kong, so how could he possibly speak?

Shi Lan didn't know what Liu Minde was thinking. In her opinion, Liu Minde was never a good person, so she spoke without any restraint.

"Fellow Daoist may not know, but this person had been trying to chat me up for a while. Out of consideration for our two sects' friendship, I was impatient but still spoke kindly to him," she said, smiling slightly. "It seems that this person, seeing that he couldn't get anything out of me, held a grudge and fabricated lies in an attempt to smear my image."

Shi Lan slowly walked up to Jing Kong and said mockingly, "Who would have thought that someone would actually believe it, using baseless lies as a basis to try to take what doesn't belong to them."

Jingkong raised his eyes slightly and looked at Shi Lan.

Shi Lan smiled, but her eyes were icy cold.

Jingkong smiled slightly and softly recited a Buddhist chant.

The prerequisite for the art of lovemaking is the union of a man and a woman. Shi Lan is still a virgin, so it's unlikely that the charge of using evil magic can be pinned on her.

Jingkong carefully recalled the details of their relationship that Liu Minde had recounted while he was in a daze, and sighed inwardly.

A small sect is indeed a small sect. The disciples they recruited didn't even leave a single spiritual imprint on them. How could he possibly confirm that she had betrayed her sect and joined another sect?

Shi Lan cursed under her breath, "You damned bald monk," and turned to leave.

With a flick of his finger, Jingkong immediately surrounded Shi Lan, as the monks who had been on guard behind him did.

Shi Lan looked around and said coldly, "Jing Kong, what do you mean by this?"

Jingkong removed the prayer beads he had been wearing around his neck and said softly, "This humble monk only wishes to search your storage bag. If it is confirmed that there is no evil magic inside, this humble monk is willing to apologize to you."

Hearing this, Shi Lan was both angry and amused.

Who does he think he is, offering an apology?

A cultivator's storage bag contains their own life and fortune. In a secret realm, who would be so foolish as to give their storage bag to someone else?
