Chapter 255 Insignificant Characters in the Apocalypse (Part 3)

After tidying up the work surface and cleaning her hands, Shi Lan went to the room where she had dinner the night before, just in time.

Upon entering, one sees an empty porcelain basin and two plates filled with leftovers from last night, both now empty, on a round table.

Shi Lan's pretty face was frosty as she coldly swept her gaze over the three men and one woman who were lounging comfortably in their chairs, their bellies sticking out.

“You have such good upbringing,” Shi Lan stepped forward and shook the porcelain bowl that still contained two mouthfuls of clear rice water. “Do you eat like this at home? You only leave a mouthful of rice water for the person who works so hard to cook for you?”

Minghao blushed slightly. "Lanlan, they still have to fight zombies today. They need to eat well to have the strength..."

"So what?" Shi Lan wasn't in the mood to listen to his excuses. "I didn't eat for free either. Which of your three meals a day wasn't cooked by me?"

Minghao didn't speak. Shen Chen lifted his glasses, lowering his eyelids to avoid Shi Lan's gaze. Guo Dabao chuckled awkwardly, "Aren't there still steamed buns on the stove? It's the same if you eat those."

"If that's how it works, then from now on I'll finish cooking and eat first, and you guys can just eat what's left over, right?"

Guo Dabao opened his mouth, "How can they be the same?"

Shi Lan sneered, "How is it different? They all care about their own stomachs first and don't care about the lives of others."

Guo Dabao glanced at Shi Lan, then at the bowl of rice porridge that was just at the bottom, and fell silent.

Liu Hui looked around and tried to smooth things over, saying, "Sister, we cleared out a lot of zombies yesterday, and everyone was quite exhausted. We didn't notice and ate everything. Let's leave it at that this time; we definitely won't do it again next time."

As she spoke, she looked pleadingly at the men, who, unable to bear seeing their little darling suffer, quickly agreed.

Shi Lan stormed out the door, muttering to herself, "Fighting zombies must have taken its toll. I bet she did something shady last night and is now starving."

The door slammed shut. Liu Hui, having expended a lot of energy the night before, ate quite a lot this morning. Hearing this, she lowered her head awkwardly. Ming Hao also looked uneasy. Shen Chen, with his head down, played with a white sphere, his expression indifferent, lost in thought.

Guo Dabao stared blankly at the still-trembling door and asked, "Minghao, why is your girlfriend suddenly so angry?"

Minghao was unsettled by Shi Lan's pointed words, so he only listened to half of what Guo Dabao said. Looking at the big, silly guy waiting for his reply, he was a little dazed. After thinking for a while, he forced a smile and said, "Maybe you didn't sleep well."

Guo Dabao nodded blankly, without pausing for thought, and turned to talk to Liu Hui, completely unaware of Ming Hao's fleeting gaze for a moment.

Inside the side room, Shi Lan angrily ate two freshly baked steamed buns. Only when she felt full did she pack the rest into a cloth and put them in her bag. She made up her mind that this would be the last meal she would cook for them.

Anyway, by evening she would be able to complete the task and obtain the wishing person's stone, after which these people would have no further connection with her.

With this thought in mind, Shi Lan, who was initially feeling somewhat depressed, began to feel better. Even when Guo Dabao rudely urged her to get in the car, she didn't get angry.

Today, Shen Chen was in the driver's seat, and Ming Hao, who had been sitting in the passenger seat ever since he awakened his superpower, was in the passenger seat. When Shi Lan got in the car, the back row was already occupied by Liu Hui and Guo Dabao, so Shi Lan sat in the seat closest to the driver's seat.

The car left the houses near the roadside, sped up, and headed towards the Leitao base according to the map.

Shi Lan gazed quietly out the window, pondering how to get Liu Hui's hair without her noticing.

Or perhaps you could soften your stance a bit and try to get closer to Liu Hui?

Shi Lan hesitated. Ever since she learned that she had poisoned and murdered the original owner who had been taking care of her, Shi Lan had felt disgusted with her. If she could, Shi Lan really didn't want to have any contact with her at all.

Suddenly, a soft, rapid breathing came from behind, followed by a woman's soft moan.

Shi Lan glanced at the window at the back but didn't see anything. Then, she felt the back of her chair being pushed hard.

Based on her position and experience, Shi Lan concluded that it was caused by the unconscious compression of the knees when the person behind her straightened their thighs.

Her breathing intensified, her moans grew more urgent, and her tongue unconsciously made smacking sounds as they sparred.

Shi Lan became furious.

Shi Lan suddenly turned her head and saw Liu Hui with flushed cheeks and dazed eyes staring at the roof of the car, above which Guo Dabao was half-lying down.

Guo Dabao was completely absorbed in the kiss, and as he panted, his right arm kept swinging. Judging from the position, it was undoubtedly between Liu Hui's legs.

Shi Lan frowned in disgust, wishing she could kick the two of them out of the car.

Just then, Guo Dabao suddenly buried his head in Liu Hui's shoulder, let out a muffled growl, and then pressed his tall body down on Liu Hui, twitching slightly.

Only then did Shi Lan realize that Liu Hui also had one hand on Guo Dabao, and she knew what had happened just now without needing to explain.

Shi Lan's chest heaved rapidly a few times, and she finally couldn't hold back any longer, shouting, "If you're craving a man, just wait until tonight and find a secluded place to have some fun. Doing it here, are you trying to disgust someone?"

In the driver's seat, Shen Chen was discussing with Ming Hao the closest place to stay on this road. Although Shi Lan didn't say it explicitly, the temperature in the air and the disgust in her tone made the two of them stop talking instantly, and Ming Hao even turned his head to look at them.
