Sitting in the long-lost shed, Shi Lan breathed a sigh of relief.
Once the garden's restrictions are triggered, the people inside will know. If necessary, a full defense can be activated. She also has the divine crystal that Haoze gave her. As long as they are not at Haoze's level, she can completely keep them out.
Jia Lan obviously knew this as well, and felt extremely frustrated and unable to refute it. Before, when she went to Mingzhi Divine Lord's place with Haoze, Wanrou came to see her before she left. She couldn't guarantee that Haoze had covered the entire cave with his divine sense at that time, so that he could hear her and Wanrou's conversation.
Haoze escorted her back to her room, told her to rest well, and then went back to his own room.
Wanrou angrily pounded the bed covered with soft brocade, then kicked over a stool made of jade, and paced irritably in the center of the room.
Haoze sat at his desk, staring blankly at one spot.
After a long while, he pinched his long fingers together, and a golden spirit bird leaped from his fingertip, flapped its wings, and flew into the sky in the blink of an eye.
Yunpu happened to enter the room and was slightly taken aback when he saw this scene.
Upon entering, seeing Haoze's unwell expression, he didn't dare ask any more questions, only saying, "Xiaoping's injury has improved a lot. Will she need the medicine from last night again later?"
Haoze recalled her condition at the time and uttered a few names of medicines. Yunpu memorized them and turned to leave. Haoze hesitated for a moment and said, "From now on, her medicines should be decocted in the garden. Moving them back and forth will only diminish their effectiveness."
Yunpu responded, feeling a mix of emotions he couldn't quite put into words, but upon reflection, he realized there was no difference.
Following Haoze's instructions, Yunpu gathered the medicinal herbs and set up a simple table to prepare the decoction.
Shi Lan came out when she heard the noise. When she saw the platform, she smiled slightly. At least Haoze wasn't completely stupid and knew to be wary of people.
Yunpu waved his fan, and seeing her like this made him furious. "Look at you, you've only just returned and you're already causing trouble. Why can't you just stay in the house and rest?" He pointed to the garden and said, "The Divine Lord doesn't come here often. If you stay here, who will treat your illness and prepare your medicine?"
Shi Lan smiled and said, "Isn't there you? You're also an expert in this field, so I'll pass this blade of grass to you."
Yunpu snorted irritably and fanned himself vigorously with the fan, causing the flames to leap from the stove and ignite the medicine furnace.
Yunpu was startled and quickly reduced his strength.
Shi Lan smiled, pursing her lips.
Yunpu glared at her and pushed her away, "Go away, you're an eyesore."
Shi Lan knew he was worried that she was still sick and would get tired from standing for so long, so she chuckled and went back to the shed.
More than a month passed in the blink of an eye, and Shi Lan's injuries had mostly healed. However, since she had burned her immortal essence, she appeared to be the same as before, but was actually much weaker inside.
Haoze knew about her health and secretly instructed Yunpu to continue to brew nourishing soup for her every day. Shilan knew a little about the effects of the immortal herbs, and she felt sorry for Yunpu when she saw him stuffing handfuls of spirit-enhancing and energy-replenishing herbs into the furnace every day.
Therefore, they cherished that bowl of soup "medicine" all the more.
After drinking it for another ten days or so, Shi Lan felt that her energy and strength had increased a lot. She estimated that she could move things again, so she took advantage of the night to quietly move a small jar and put in all the immortal herbs needed for the Divine King's Drunkenness.
The fat fish, carrying the mirage grass, came over and asked, "Pretty sister, what are you doing?"
Shi Lan spread her hands at it, "To brew wine."
The fat fish was a little reluctant and rolled off a leaf.
Shi Lan took it, put it back into the jar, and continued looking at it.
Fat Fish pouted and said, "If you pull any more, there won't be any left."
Shi Lan grinned. "If it's gone, it can just grow back, right?"
Fat Fish blinked and said, "You didn't keep your word. You didn't give me any of the delicious food you promised, and you even tricked me out of my food."
Shi Lan pointed to the stacked jars in the distance and said, "Give me that, and I'll open the jar for you right away. I guarantee you won't lose out."
Fat Fish swallowed hard and said, "You're not lying to me?"
Shi Lan didn't bother with any nonsense. She simply dragged over a jar, broke the clay seal, and a delicate aroma of wine immediately filled the garden.
The fat fish excitedly circled the jar twice, then without hesitation stripped off all the grass except for a single root, which it wrapped around its tail before diving into the wine jar.
Shi Lan was about to seal the lid when she saw it like this, and she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
The fat fish gulped down half its drink and floated on top, burping as it drank.
Shi Lan shook her head helplessly and carried the small jar back to the shed.
The next morning, as soon as Yunpu entered, he smelled a familiar fragrance. Looking up, he saw an empty jar standing next to the small shed.
Shi Lan came out when she heard the noise, and following his gaze, she discovered that the huge wine jar was already empty.
Yunpu twitched his lips and said earnestly, "Xiaoping, it's not that Uncle Yun doesn't want you to drink, but you should control the amount." He looked at Shi Lan's face and said, "Your injuries look healed, but your foundation is still very weak. If you keep drinking like this, no matter how much 'medicine' you drink, it will be in vain."
Shi Lan smiled apologetically and promised that she would never touch alcohol again until her injury was fully healed.
Yunpu was very satisfied with her attitude of admitting her mistake, so he stopped nagging and went to the ridge to pick the immortal herb.
When Yunpu was no longer paying attention, Shi Lan angrily picked up the jade pendant. The fat fish on it was fast asleep and had no idea what day it was.
After a few shakes, the fat fish groggily opened its eyes, saw Shi Lan, and grinned, saying, "Good morning, beautiful sister."
Shi Lan slightly bent her fingers and flicked the outer bubble forcefully, saying, "You're really something."
Fat Fish was still drunk, and even in his dazed state, he remembered to be modest: "That won't work either."
