The sound from inside the sphere of light grew louder, and the fake Lan revealed a cruel yet gleeful smile.
It seemed there was a living thing inside the sphere of light. Shi Lan hesitated, wondering whether to attack the fake Lan first or destroy the sphere of light first.
In the lake, the old turtle, having finished his gossip, sensed something amiss. Upon seeing the ball of light, he focused his mind and, after getting a clear look, shouted in terror, "We can't let that thing out!"
Shi Lan still trusted the old tortoise. Upon hearing his voice, she immediately made a hand seal and attacked the ball of light with her strongest magic.
One of Jia Lan's arms had been eaten away by the light orb. Now she was stretching out her other hand. Seeing Shi Lan's actions, she became a little anxious. The vines that were wrapped around her brocade ribbons, and a tortoise shell that was shining with green light covered her head.
The golden phoenix was blocked outside the tortoise shell and could not advance an inch.
Shi Lan gritted her teeth, annoyed that Haoze had equipped the fake Shi Lan with such a high-level treasure. With a flick of her wrist, a red ribbon flew out, followed closely by a small sword.
The turquoise color gradually dimmed under the impact of the red ribbon and the small sword, and the cracks on the tortoise shell intensified. After two breaths, it finally could not withstand the pressure and turned into fragments on the ground.
After completing their mission, Hongling and Xiaojian also faded into obscurity.
At this moment, Jia Lan had already contributed her other arm and most of her vines to the light sphere. When Shi Lan attacked, she was absorbing the life force of the surrounding plants, growing her arm while stretching out her leg.
Seeing her like this, Shi Lan truly felt that her behavior of harming herself before harming the enemy was completely insane.
Jia Lan stared at Shi Lan with a crazed look on her face: "You think I'm crazy?" She chuckled strangely: "I am crazy. I went crazy the moment I fell in love with Haoze." She forcefully stuffed her legs into the ball of light, enduring the pain of being devoured.
Shi Lan remained silent; all she wanted to do now was kill her and that unknown thing.
The ball of light finally stopped after it had eaten half of her leg.
The tiny ball of light seemed unable to withstand the energy, constantly expanding and contracting.
Fake Lan stared at the ball of light and laughed maniacally, "As long as I kill you, I won't have lost."
The sphere of light slowly rotated, as if something was about to break free from it.
"Even if you die, it's fine?" Shi Lan suddenly spoke up. "Do you know Haoze, he..."
Jia Lan looked overjoyed, probably feeling that success was imminent. Her eyes were wild and confused, as if she couldn't control her emotions. When she heard Shi Lan mention Haoze, she was stunned for a moment, "What?"
Shi Lan seized the moment, flicked her finger, and the Soul-Destroying Nail transformed into a dark ray of light and disappeared into the sphere of light.
The ball of light suddenly paused, and a strange sound came from inside. After a sharp screech, the ball of light suddenly exploded, and a strange-looking thing jumped out. Before it even hit the ground, it jumped directly onto the fake Lan.
The green liquid flowed down the monster's body and onto her.
Fake Lan grunted, and seeing that it didn't pounce on Shi Lan as she expected, she commanded the vines to try and grab the monster.
The monster made two strange coos and bit off her ear.
After two crisp snapping sounds, it swallowed it contentedly, then lunged to bite at her forehead, but the vines tightly wrapped around it at that moment.
The monster turned its head to bite the vines. Taking advantage of the monster's distraction, Jia Lan forcefully pulled the monster away and threw it away, heading towards Shi Lan.
Shi Lan quickly dodged and casually retrieved the Soul-Destroying Nail. She was speechless; could this be considered reaping what she sowed?
The old tortoise had already arrived and whispered, "That's Chi. We can't let it eat any more. Otherwise, once it's fully grown, there might not be enough food for it here, or even in the entire God Realm."
Shi Lan was speechless. Was this thing really that powerful?
The old tortoise, abandoning his usual laziness, took out his ever-present, pretentious fan and headed towards Chi Qie.
Seeing this, Shi Lan quickly made a hand seal, using magic in conjunction with her fan to cut off one of Chi's arms while he was off guard.
Chi made a strange groan, then picked up his own arm and started crunching and eating it.
Two dark eyes stared at Shi Lan and the old tortoise with extreme malice.
Jia Lan summoned Chi to destroy Shi Lan, Hao Ze, and everything here. She wouldn't let Chi suffer a loss.
At that moment, she drew her longsword and thrust it at Shi Lan.
With a wave of its hand, the old tortoise's shell spun around, casting a white light.
After trying twice without success, Shi Lan summoned two more longswords, one to slow down Chi's eating speed and the other to deal with her.
The longsword shone brightly and quickly injured Chi's arm. Jia Lan had just performed a sacrificial ritual, and her physical strength and speed were reduced to the minimum. After a few rounds, she could no longer hold on. She was just a plant fairy. In terms of defense, ten of her were not as good as the old tortoise, and in terms of attack, she was no match for Shi Lan.
After Chi finished gnawing on the arm, it quickly scanned the three people with its eyes. Suddenly, it leaped up and pounced on her weak defensive shield. With a forceful bite, the shield swayed and dissipated completely.
Without pausing, Chi jumped onto the fake Lan's vest and, before she could react, bit her on the side of her neck.
Jia Lan let out a shrill scream, and blood gushed out from her neck.
Shi Lan hurriedly wielded her longsword and thrust it towards Chi.
The sharp sword light pierced its arm, and Chi seemed to feel himself being lifted into the air. His entire grotesque face wrinkled, and he sucked the blood of the fake Lan even more forcefully.
The old tortoise gently swung the fan.
The pretentious fan was sliced off like meat, its two legs cut off at the root.
Chi seemed to be in real pain this time, letting out a muffled, strange cry as he tore off a large chunk of flesh.
The fake Lan's arm had not fully grown, and the vines layered over it, trying to block the affected area, but they were not as effective as fingers, and blood gushed out from the wound.
