The air shield swayed for a moment before shattering silently. The ancient mirror could not withstand such great gravity, and its bright surface instantly dimmed.
Shi Lan's face stiffened. She retrieved the ancient mirror and used the jade bracelet for protection.
Jia Lan secretly revealed her delight and subtly moved closer to Shi Lan's back, preparing to launch a sneak attack.
The giant python, extremely pleased with its successful attack, swung its massive tail back and then lashed out again.
Knowing its power, Shi Lan would not try to withstand it head-on. To prevent the fake Lan behind her from causing trouble, she rode the cloud upwards to dodge.
The giant python was probably extremely confident in itself, because it did not transform into human form when facing the enemy, but instead stretched out its head to bite Shi Lan.
Shi Lan didn't want to fight it, so she simply caught up with it head-on. The python's large mouth was lined with sharp fangs, and its hissing tongue deftly blocked Shi Lan, trying to force her towards the fangs.
Shi Lan leaped down from the cloud, over the sharp tip of the snake's tongue, and landed on its soft tip. Before the giant python could react, she fired the Soul-Destroying Nail. She vaguely heard a sharp shout from afar, "You beast, how dare you!"
Shi Lan paused slightly, but disregarding everything else, she quickly jumped out of the still-open python's mouth.
The python's large mouth closed rapidly. Even Shi Lan, who was only a foot away, could feel the airflow generated when the mouth closed, as well as the harsh sound of teeth clashing.
Shi Lan felt a chill run down her spine and quickly urged the auspicious cloud to leave.
A figure suddenly appeared in front of her, and for a moment her vision went black as a warm body embraced her tightly.
Shi Lan instinctively became wary, but the familiar scent filled her nostrils, and her tense nerves suddenly relaxed. Her nose tingled, and she softly said, "Haoze."
The soft, gentle tone stirred Haoze's heart, but this was not the time for him to let his mind wander.
He turned his head and coldly looked at the giant python writhing in a sorry state and the fake Lan cowering to one side, trying to escape.
"You dare to come back?" Haoze manipulated the Soul-Destroying Nail, turning the giant python's brain into tofu, while simultaneously unleashing a golden light that enveloped the fake Lan.
Having learned his lesson before, Haoze didn't want to waste any words and directly used the Dragon Binding Rope to drag her in front of him to search her soul.
She dared not let Jia Lan and the clones she released know what they had done. Rather than be tortured to the point of wishing for death, she would rather end it all now.
She turned her gaze to Shi Lan, who was nestled delicately in Haoze's arms, and waited for the distance between them to close.
Haoze reacted with extreme sensitivity, noticing the malice in her eyes, and immediately threw her far away.
A tremendous sound exploded two zhang away, and the golden dragon-binding rope was shattered by the powerful impact.
Shi Lan's eyes were blocked by Hao Ze, so she didn't know what was happening. She quickly peeked out and stood on tiptoe to see.
Haoze sighed softly and put his arm around her. "There's nothing to see. Leave it to me." Before he finished speaking, his gaze fell on her shoulder, and his expression suddenly changed. "Who hurt you?"
Shi Lan touched her blood-stained shoulder, feeling quite pleased with herself for what she had done. Just as she was about to speak, she saw Haoze's face darken. She paused, then gave a fawning smile.
"It's nothing, the wound isn't deep, it'll heal after some rest at home."
Haoze stared at the giant python with murderous intent. "Did it do this?"
Shi Lan turned to look at the giant python, which was being tormented by the Soul-Destroying Nails to the point of near death, and shook her head. "It's that fake one," she said, pointing to the man with a faint breath still clinging to life on the clouds not far away, and briefly explained the situation.
Haoze gave the man a cold look; such an overconfident fool deserved to die.
Old Turtle Qingyue and the others caught up one after another, and were stunned by what they saw.
The old tortoise stared at the giant python, which was coiled up and whose eyes had clearly lost their luster, and tentatively asked, "Is this the island lord of Iceland?"
The old turtle, who had spent most of his life in the water, had once gone out with others to join in the fun. At that time, he had seen the true form of the Icelandic island lord from afar, which seemed to be very similar to this giant python.
The giant python opened its mouth, as if it wanted to speak.
Haoze snorted coldly, and before it could utter a sound, he clenched his fingers.
A golden light suddenly encircled its neck, and after a sharp cracking sound, the giant python opened its mouth wide, its powerful tail violently slapping the dark clouds, the shockwaves scattering the clouds.
Its massive body plummeted straight down from the sky, snapping many tree branches before crashing to the ground with a tremendous thud.
Having dealt with the giant python, Haoze dragged the cloud that the man was riding over. He disgustedly turned Chi into ashes and then said impatiently, "Whoever knows him, hurry up and take him away."
After saying that, he rubbed his temples, put his arm around Shi Lan, and flashed back to the mountain gate. He didn't care about the ownership of the ferocious python at all. Anyway, no one would be tired of living and dare to compete with him for it.
Haoze felt a throbbing sensation between his brows. He felt his consciousness becoming somewhat confused, as many things that didn't belong to him were forcefully squeezing into his mind, and pain surged along with these memories.
After managing to bring Shi Lan back to the Hundred Herbs Garden and reinforcing two more barriers, he rubbed his temples, his body slightly unsteady.
Shi Lan quickly helped him sit down and asked, "What's wrong?"
Haoze shook his head, unable to hold on any longer, and slumped onto the couch.
Seeing that he was moving awkwardly, Shi Lan moved his feet onto the couch to make him more comfortable.
Haoze lay quietly on the couch with his eyes closed. If it weren't for his furrowed brows and twitching eyebrows, Shi Lan would have thought he was asleep.
Light shone through the gaps in the ceiling, leaving streaks of light and shadow that made his face appear somewhat ferocious.
Shi Lan stared at his brow with concern.
The mark that was once deeply ingrained faded considerably with the death of the fake Lan. The remaining light gray color was now barely visible.
Shi Lan guessed that it was probably because the fake Lan died that the mark she planted had backfired.
She only hoped that Haoze could withstand it and completely get rid of the remaining influence of the fake Lan. In order to make him more persistent, she held his hand and silently supported him.
Haoze was already in a daze. He vaguely felt that he had come to a simple house. He was surprised to find that he could not control his body at all. He blushed and heard himself shamelessly asking the person next to him for a kiss.
This made Haoze want to knock himself out, but what he didn't expect was that Shi Lan not only didn't find it disgusting, but actually kissed him.
Haoze was a little puzzled. Didn't Lan'er think that this was very unmanly?
In an instant, the scene shifted, and he became a dull man. Haoze looked at Shi Lan with some curiosity as she stared at the man holding the diamond ring with shining eyes.
He was puzzled. It was just a useless stone, so why was Lan'er happier to see it than to see a golden elixir?
Before he could figure it out, the scene shifted to the two of them in intimate contact. The red wedding tent swayed gently without wind. As he watched the thing that was neither himself nor his own lying on Shi Lan, his murderous aura suddenly intensified. A sharp pain suddenly invaded his brow, and he jolted awake, opening his eyes abruptly.
