Chapter 87 Love in the Tomb (Part Fourteen)

One step forward, Zhang Ke lay on the ground, barely alive, looking up at Shi Lan with pity in her eyes, "Thank you for showing mercy."

Shi Lan frowned and remained silent.

The Ninth Prince laughed heartily, took two steps forward, kicked Zhang Ke aside, and said smugly, "After all this effort, the result is still the same." With that, he stretched out his withered hand and grabbed Shi Lan's neck.

Shi Lan craned her neck and closed her eyes. She didn't regret saving Zhang Ke. Since she couldn't do anything to the Ninth Prince, it was good that one less person died.

Seeing Shi Lan's life hanging by a thread, Zhang Ke turned and looked longingly at Qin Yi, who was watching him with worry on the wall. A resolute look flashed across his refined face.

Qin Yi seemed to know his plan and hurriedly climbed down from the wall.

"don't want."

Her voice was shrill and mournful. Zhang Ke turned his head and looked at her with reluctance. His figure became slender like an arrow and shot into the chest and abdomen of the Ninth Prince in an instant.

Upon hearing Qin Yi's shout, the Ninth Prince turned halfway around, and the arrow that Zhang Ke had transformed into pierced his chest.

The Ninth Prince roared to the heavens in fury, angrily striking his chest.

Zhang Ke groaned and turned into a wisp of green smoke, while the lamp suddenly ignited with a wisp of white flame, which vanished into the world in an instant.

Qin Yi stared in panic at the empty space before her, repeatedly calling out "Cousin," her pale face looking fragile as if it were about to shatter.

"You wretch, I knew you were restless," the Ninth Prince said maliciously, glaring at her. "That pedantic scholar has been completely destroyed by me. He doesn't enter the cycle of reincarnation here, so even if you call him again, he won't come back to life."

Qin Yi stared blankly into the void, seemingly oblivious to his words. In the narrow corridor, she wandered aimlessly like a lost soul, as if this would lead her to Zhang Ke.

The Ninth Prince gave the unresponsive woman a cold glance and decided to let it go for the time being.

Shi Lan glanced at the gaping wound on the Ninth Prince's chest and wondered if she could take his life if she activated the Chaos Technique and inserted her arm into the wound.

When the Ninth Prince saw Shi Lan staring at his wound, he quickly gathered a cloud of black mist and pressed it onto the injury.

The wound moved rapidly, and in the blink of an eye, the wound had returned to its original state.

Shi Lan was slightly surprised, but the Ninth Prince laughed loudly and reached out to grab Shi Lan's neck.

“After I eat you, I will go up and kill that flying zombie, and then this place will be mine again,” he said, tightening his fingers and lifting Shi Lan high.

Shi Lan kicked her dangling legs, her slender hands desperately scratching at his arms, which were like dry tree bark.

The Ninth Prince squinted at Shi Lan, watching her eyes roll back, her lips slightly parted, and her disheveled appearance as she desperately tried to breathe. "Yes, just like that. This is the most captivating way a woman looks."

Shi Lan cursed him under her breath, gripping his arm tightly with both hands. At the same time, she silently recited the Chaos Technique, and golden light quickly coiled around her fingers, while green smoke rose up.

The Ninth Prince cried out in despair and hurriedly withdrew, but Shi Lan refused to let go, her ten fingers tightly clasped together. At this moment, she only regretted that she only had two hands and could not spread the golden light to his whole body.

Unable to break free, the Ninth Prince raised his other hand and struck Shi Lan on the head.

Seeing this, Qin Yi, who was wandering around, turned around, hugged the Ninth Prince's arm, and kissed him.

Caught off guard, the Ninth Prince was bitten squarely and couldn't break free for a moment. Qin Yi glared at him with hatred, her pearly white teeth tearing fiercely at his arm, specks of black mist scattering in all directions with each tear.

Upon seeing this, Shi Lan immediately began to chant, and specks of golden light transformed into characters that fluttered down upon the Nine Thousand Years Old.

Thick smoke billowed out immediately. The Ninth Prince struggled frantically, but Shi Lan, exhausted, was still thrown off even with all her might.

The corridor was narrow, and Shi Lan felt a jolt in her body, followed by a sharp pain in the back of her head. In her dazed state, she seemed to see Qin Yi give a bitter smile, her slender and graceful figure suddenly swelling into a sphere.

Shi Lan knew something was wrong and struggled to stop them, but darkness suddenly took over her mind.

After an unknown amount of time, Shi Lan shivered from the cold and groggily opened her eyes.

A pair of dark eyes, seemingly absorbing all the light, came into her view. Shi Lan was startled, and her lazy, not-yet-returned rationality quickly took its place.

"You are..." Shi Lanteng stood up, and because she exerted too much force, her head throbbed with pain.

Shi Lan frowned, pressed the back of her head, and turned to look at the owner of the eyes.

At that moment, the man tilted his head, looking at her with a curious expression.

Shi Lan glanced around quickly and was taken aback. The familiar handsome face, the familiar clothes, and the focused expression on his face all indicated that this person was the same living male corpse she had seen in the tomb.

"You..." Shi Lan hurriedly retreated a few steps, using both hands and feet.

The male corpse seemed displeased with her actions. After thinking for a moment, he propped himself up and moved around. Seeing that he was close to Shi Lan again, he squinted his beautiful eyes with pleasure and curled up the corners of his mouth.

Shi Lan stared at him in surprise for a few seconds, and after confirming that he did not make any other move, she carefully moved a little to the side.

The male corpse pursed his lips, turned to look at Shi Lan, and then moved closer.

After several such incidents, the male corpse's childish behavior made Shi Lan's lips twitch. At this moment, she didn't realize that her own behavior wasn't much more mature either.

A few steps away, Qin Yi, who had been standing respectfully and silently, was also impressed by the two of them.

"Shi Lan, it was this sir who saved us," Qin Yi winked at Shi Lan, signaling her to be more polite.

Upon hearing her voice, Shi Lan suddenly recalled the scene before she fainted and quickly turned to look at her.

Are you alright?

Qin Yi shook her head.

Shi Lan breathed a sigh of relief.

Zhang Ke sacrificed his chance to be reincarnated to save her, and Shi Lan didn't want anything to happen to Qin Yi, whom Zhang Ke cherished.

Qin Yi looked sad, which meant she understood Shi Lan's thoughts.

Shi Lan sighed inwardly, turned to look at the male corpse, and hesitated before saying, "Um... thank you for saving me, sir."

The male corpse blinked and mumbled indistinctly, "Ze..."

Shi Lan didn't understand what he meant and was stunned for a moment.

Seeing her like this, the male corpse became a little anxious, pointed to himself, and said, "Ze."

Shi Lan understood immediately and said, "Hello, Ze, my name is Shi Lan."

Ze grinned and awkwardly called out "Lan".

Shi Lan nodded in response.

Ze squinted happily, a pure smile appearing on his handsome face.

Shi Lan was also prompted to smile slightly by him.

Seeing these two clueless fellows, Qin Yi had no choice but to interrupt their dumbfounded stare, "My lord, what are your plans for dealing with the Ninth Prince?"

Shi Lan looked at Qin Yi with confusion, then turned to Ze, "The Ninth Prince isn't dead?"

Ze shook his head, opened his loosely clenched fist, and a small black ball rolled around in his palm, unable to leave.
