In the luxury store, Chen Ke had just picked out a dress when Liu Yao walked in with her friend, looking arrogant.
"Chen Ke, what are you doing here?" Liu Yao tried to suppress her smile when she saw the dress in Chen Ke's hand; she really liked that dress.
However, Liu Yao's eyes widened when she saw Chen Ke's attire. She hadn't expected Chen Ke to be so charming in a suit.
When Liu Yao's friends saw Chen Ke, they almost mistook him for some rich second-generation young master, and frequently cast envious glances at Liu Yao, wondering where she had hooked up with him.
Liu Yao deliberately didn't introduce him yet, and her originally arrogant gaze towards Chen Ke began to look at him with affection.
Chen Ke ignored Liu Yao and handed the dress to the shop assistant, saying, "Please wrap this one up for me, thank you."

However, thinking about the price of the dress, Liu Yao suppressed her anger and forced a smile. "Honey, buying this one is fine, but then I'll have to lose weight. Don't blame me for not eating enough when we go out to eat."
Chen Ke looked at Liu Yao with an expression that made him think she was completely unreasonable. He thought Liu Yao's attitude at the school cafeteria last time had already explained everything.
He was ignoring Liu Yao now to save her face, thinking that if she still had any self-respect, she would naturally leave. But he didn't expect that she would not only be ungrateful but also take advantage of his kindness.
Chen Ke looked at Liu Yao and said, "I bought this dress for my sister. Tell the shop assistant what you want."
Liu Yao was about to curse when she heard the first half of the sentence, but her eyes lit up when she heard the second half, and a greedy look flashed across her face. "Really?"
Chen Ke smiled faintly, "Of course."

My friend was so angry he gritted his teeth and yelled, "Damn it, what kind of incredible luck did Liu Yao have?!"
After paying the bill, Chen Ke said a few words to the clerk and then left.
Meanwhile, Liu Yao was still inside, engrossed in choosing. This one, these shoes, and that one—they all looked so beautiful, she wanted them all. Her friend followed along with a fawning expression, hoping to snag one item for free. Just then, the manager suddenly approached, "Hello, ladies, have you finished choosing?"
Liu Yao pointed arrogantly at the pile on the sofa, "That's all, wrap it up."
The manager frowned as he looked at the pile of luxury goods on the sofa, trying to suppress his anger as he said, "Then please settle the bill here, Miss."
Liu Yao was taken aback. She scanned the store and found that Chen Ke was nowhere to be seen. A sense of panic rose in her heart. "Where...where is that gentleman who was in the store just now?"
"That gentleman has already paid and left. Miss, would you like these things packed up?"
"Pfft!" The friend who had just been all smiles couldn't help but burst out laughing.
The sound was like a resounding slap across her face. Liu Yao could hardly believe that she had been tricked by Chen Ke. A surge of anger rushed to her head, making her dizzy and almost unable to stand.
When her friend saw this, she immediately stepped forward to support her, asking, "Yaoyao, what's wrong? Are you alright?"
