On the day the safe base fell, Chen Ke went out and modified 1,000 level-one zombies. He then had them surround the experimental base. Looking at the family of three little zombies watching from afar, Chen Ke even waved to them.
It will take another month to modify the second level-three zombie, but it seems they won't be leaving for the time being, so Chen Ke isn't worried.
On the third day after the fall of the security base, Chen Ke released Wu Ran. Wu Ran looked incredulous and wary, unable to understand why Chen Ke would release him.
But under Chen Ke's expressionless gaze, Wu Ran crawled out using both hands. He knew there were zombies outside, but he wasn't afraid; they were just level one zombies.
Wu Ran ran out of the laboratory and was finally able to use his superpower. A huge earth dragon rose from the soil and roared as it flew into the distance.
Wu Ran glanced back in the direction of the laboratory. "Chen Ke, you wait. One day, he will come back for revenge."
Inside the experimental base, Wu Wei was absorbing zombie crystal cores. "Has Wu Ran left?"
Chen Ke nodded.
Wu Wei: "I hope he can improve his superpowers."
Chen Ke: "Are you really sure you've thought this through? You won't regret it?"
Wu Wei shook her head firmly, "No, this world is beyond saving. The only way to bring about new life is through destruction."
One month after the fall of the safe base.
This was the first time Wu Wei and Chen Ke had walked out of the laboratory together.
The laboratory had been razed to the ground, but the surrounding area was completely empty, without a single zombie in sight.
It wasn't until they walked two streets that Wu Wei saw rows of zombies, probably a thousand or so, while the others were still in disarray, their mouths agape as if they wanted to eat people.
"Howl!" The howl of a little zombie came from afar, and Chen Ke and Wu Wei rushed over.
Two of the three level-three zombies have already been modified by Chen Ke and can communicate with each other well.
"They said that Wu Ran, Lei Boxiu, Yang Daoquan, and Qiao Heping met up and went to the base in the north together."
"It's good that they're all together, so we don't have to go looking for them one by one later."
"Starting tomorrow, let's go out and find level three zombies." Chen Ke said and left, followed by the three level three zombies.
Wu Wei knew that Chen Ke was no ordinary person, but she never asked him about it, much less coveted the three level-three zombie cores.
The next morning, Chen Ke and Wu Wei set off in an ordinary jeep.
We passed through Dongning City and headed west.
When they encountered a fallen city, they would go inside to look for level 3 zombies, and they didn't even let go of level 2 ones. Wu Wei's superpower was rapidly increasing to level 8.
Meanwhile, Chen Ke was also modifying zombies along the way. After modifying a batch, he ordered them to head north.
Further west, in areas without cities, abandoned highways are overgrown with weeds, but driving is still not a problem.
Chen Ke asked Wu Wei if there was anywhere she wanted to go.
Wu Wei said, "I've always wanted to drive around and see the sights, and now that wish has come true. Let's just drive aimlessly along the highway."
So they started heading west along the highway.
The further west they went, the fewer people they saw, and even fewer zombies.
We saw many beautiful sights along the way, but not a single drop of rain fell. The rivers we had seen began to dry up, the vegetation began to wither and turn yellow, and the abandoned farmland cracked into patches where even wild grass could not grow.
Six months after the security base fell, Chen Ke and Wu Wei began their journey back; time was running out.
Seven months after the fall of the safe base, Chen Ke and Wu Wei returned to the lab with Li Ruichun's brain. On the way, they met up with a massive zombie army and headed to the northern base.
This is the largest base for survivors after the apocalypse.
The zombie army was discovered by the base when it was within 30 kilometers of it. The base immediately took action and dispatched troops to wipe out the zombies.
The two armies met 20 kilometers from the base. Coincidentally, the four men leading the army were Wu Ran, Lei Boxiu, and two others.
Sensing that their superpowers had reached level ten and were maxed out, Wu Wei finally showed a smile after so long.
The four were shocked to see Wu Wei standing in front of the zombie army. Could it be that Wu Wei had also become a zombie?
"Wu Wei, I told you before not to get involved with Chen Ke, but you wouldn't listen! Look at the state you've become!" Wu Ran shouted indignantly, then looked around, "Where's Chen Ke? Why isn't he here?"
With his current strength, Wu Ran believed he could absolutely defeat Chen Ke.
Wu Wei said calmly, "What's he here for? To deal with you all, I can handle it all by myself."
"Uwei, are you crazy? What do you mean by leading zombies to besiege the city? Do you want all of humanity to turn into zombies and perish?!" Rebershuu questioned.
"So what if it's destroyed? This world should have been destroyed long ago!" Wu Wei said, giving the four no chance to react, and charged forward, with the zombie army behind her roaring as it charged toward the army.
"Boom! Bang!" The troops opened fire before the four men could even give the order.
A major battle is imminent.
Wu Ran went straight to meet Wu Wei. Lei Boxiu, who was next to him, originally wanted to kill the zombies first, but he did not expect that there were two level three zombies following behind Wu Wei.
He didn't know why the level 3 zombies would obey Wu Wei's orders, but he didn't have time to think about it. He called Yang Daoquan to confront the two level 3 zombies.
"howl!"
The two sides were completely locked in combat.
Meanwhile, at the northern base, twenty kilometers away...
Chen Ke led the little zombie silently into the laboratory, which was hundreds of meters underground.
The laboratory here is even larger than Dr. L's laboratory, and there are many researchers coming and going in the laboratory at this time.
