"Young master, your accommodations have been arranged. Please come this way."
The monk who came to greet Xie Ming was a young monk. He bowed to Xie Ming and then led him to his room.
Xie Ming asked as he walked, "Your host really doesn't plan to see me?"
"Please forgive me, young master, but the master is away on business. It is truly an opportunity not to meet you."
“A monk does not lie; the young monk has broken the precept.”
"This, this..."
The young monk was anxious and didn't know how to answer.
“I will not make things difficult for you. I know that Master Yuan has been seriously injured, and if he is not treated, his life may be in danger. Go and inform him that I have a way to cure his injury.”
The young monk looked over warily.
Xie Ming took out a bottle from his pocket and said, "Let's try it first. If it doesn't work, just consider me an ordinary pilgrim."
He didn't say anything more and headed straight for the guest room.
If that's the case, and they still can't seize the opportunity, then all they'll be left with is chanting scriptures and striking wooden fish drums.
The little monk realized he hadn't told Xie Ming where the room was after Xie Ming left, so he immediately ran after him to call him back. But before he could catch up, Xie Ming had already entered the room without making a mistake.
He immediately realized that the benefactor in front of him might not be a simple person. Holding the bottle in his hands, he thought of the bedridden abbot and quickly ran towards him.
Looking out the window, Xie Ming saw the little monk running away. He poured a dark "pill" from the same porcelain bottle and chewed it.
The pill in the bottle was made by Xie Ming by mixing chocolate with a small amount of Vitality Pill the size of a layer of ash. It was quite large and looked rather convincing.
After finishing his food, Xie Ming sat down at the table in the room, took out some folding paper, and began to write and draw.
He stopped writing halfway through, wondering if he had written too much in the past few worlds.
It's always the same: writing money-making secrets for the crown prince, writing novels, and now even writing cultivation techniques. It's never going to end, is it...?
This won't do. Next time we go to a higher world, I'll have to get the consciousness printer working. Staring at the paper on the table, Xie Ming really didn't want to do it.
He pursed his lips and pulled out a few more paper figures from his pocket. That's right! They were cut out by Xie Xinran again.
A few breaths later, several paper figures, each about a foot tall, appeared on the table, carrying pens and writing or drawing on paper.
Lying on the bed, Xie Ming squinted and thought: Division of labor can indeed improve production efficiency.
Several hours later
"Knock knock knock... Are you inside, sir?"
The voice was still that of the little monk from before, but Xie Ming could tell from the breathing that he wasn't the only one who had come.
He waved to collect the things on the table and got up to open the door for the visitor.
Standing outside were three monks besides the young monk from yesterday. Xie Ming's gaze fell on one of the older monks, who was clearly the Master Liaoyuan that Xie Ming was looking for.
"Thank you, benefactor!" Liaoyuan clasped his hands together and bowed to Xie Ming.
"Master Liaoyuan!" Xie Ming returned the greeting.
After exchanging greetings, they followed Xie Ming into the house, while Xiao Heshan bowed and took his leave.
After sitting down, Master Liaoyuan didn't beat around the bush and asked Xie Ming directly about the purpose of his visit.
"Master, Shaolin has always been a prestigious sect in the martial arts world, and the elders in the temple are all highly respected. To be honest, I have had an opportunity by chance, and therefore I would like to discuss this with you."
The three people present looked at each other, not quite believing it. First of all, if someone has an opportunity, they shouldn't hide it away. Why would they so openly show it off? Even in Buddhism, there are people whose six senses are not yet purified.
Secondly, Master Liaoyuan had been seriously injured for a long time and was even showing signs of exhaustion. However, after taking his elixir, his health immediately improved, and within just one hour, his injuries had recovered by 50-60%.
Why would someone offer such a precious elixir if they were asking for something of great importance? Otherwise, Liaoyuan wouldn't have come here despite being ill.
But now the visitor said there was a chance to offer it, which made none of them dare to believe it easily.
Finally, there was Young Master Xie, dressed simply, yet the fabric was clearly of high quality. Not to mention his accessories; the silver mask alone was a treasure that ordinary people could not afford.
With such talent, how could there be no one to serve him?
One of the elders asked, "Is Benefactor Xie a member of the imperial court?"
The imperial court, weakened by its power, seeks cooperation with major martial arts sects every year, and Shaolin is no exception. Therefore, the elders believe that the visitor is likely a member of the royal family.
"That's not the case. May I borrow your temple's meditation room?"
The dormitory wasn't fancy enough; Xie Ming felt the first time needed to be more formal.
Liaoyuan turned her head and lowered her prayer beads, lost in thought, but still couldn't figure out Xie Ming's intentions. In the end, she nodded in agreement.
The meditation rooms in Shaolin Temple are similar to those in other ordinary temples, used by monks for meditation, contemplation, and enlightenment. Therefore, the interior is simply and plainly furnished, and one can feel the tranquility and peace that greets them as soon as they step through the door.
In one corner of the meditation room, there was a small and exquisite incense burner, filled with fine sandalwood incense, and several cushions were placed on the raised platform.
The aroma alone told Xie Ming that this was no ordinary meditation room, and he unconsciously elevated his status.
Liao Yuan gestured for Xie Ming to sit on the cushion to his right. After the elders followed and sat down, he didn't waste any words and immediately showed off his skills.
He took out an illusion orb and placed it in his hand to activate his divine power.
Before the three monks could figure out how to speak, they suddenly felt a blur before their eyes and realized that they were no longer in the meditation room they had just been in, but in another world.
The place was filled with towering greenery, birds and beasts... all things they had never seen before. What surprised them even more was that some people were traveling on swords.
Xie Ming led the group to see a low-level secret realm in the cultivation world. It had just opened today, and many sects had sent disciples below the Golden Core stage to come in to train and seek opportunities.
"Thank you, benefactor! What is this?"
