Chapter 20 The Ungrateful Uncle (The End)

"Uncle, you've wronged me and my brother. Dad and Grandpa are senile, that's why they did this. My brother and I came over to stop them when we found out, and you just slapped me right away." After saying that, she turned her head away.

If the village chief hadn't missed the malice in his eyes, he might have actually been fooled by his charisma.

But now he knows this person is a fox, and if he gets fooled today, this kind of person will be hard to control in the future.

Just as he was thinking about how to deal with the slippery Xie Yinzhu, Xie Ming, who had been untied, spoke up: "You're talking nonsense. Take out your and your brother's hands. The wounds from this feudal activity are still there!"

As if no one believed him, he then ran to the side and picked up a knife with a red string tied to it: "Look, they cut their hands with this knife. Just compare the cuts to see if I'm telling the truth."

Xie Yinzhu glared at Xie Ming: "Those are the wounds I got when I was fighting with my father."

"Leaders, don't be fooled by this guy. Listen to how cunning he is." Xie Ming didn't give his brothers a chance at all and led them to look at the regular bloodstains on the ground.

Needless to say, suspicion has already firmly been placed on these individuals.

Xie Laowai wanted to curse, but the anger that had been building up in his chest for days held him back. The sudden turn of events before him caused him to faint.

Xie Quanfu's wailing and pleading for help wasn't out of filial piety, but rather an instinctive attempt to change the subject. Unfortunately, it was all in vain.

Standing to the side, Zhao Erya tried her best to shrink herself down, not daring to make a sound.

To Xie Ming's surprise, his mother stared at him with hateful eyes, as if she wanted to devour her own grandson alive.

Xie Ming had never really investigated this old lady, not out of kindness, but because she had such a low profile in Xie Laowai's family. He never expected her to be so hostile towards him.

However, Xie Ming certainly wouldn't leave any trouble behind now, and if his nominal "mother" really caused trouble, it would bring him a lot of problems.

What's more, this "milk" wanted to kill him!

Xie Ming glanced past Xie Laowai's family and no longer looked at anyone in his household. The villagers all sighed at his unfortunate fate.

Those who needed to be tied up were tied up and taken to the village. The group also went down the mountain to wait for people from the town to take over.

Xie Ming was not disappointed; in the end, the entire eldest son's family was taken away.

The second and third wives were taken away for questioning but were eventually released. However, their lives in the village would not be as easy as before.

The shaman from the next village was also taken in for questioning, but she turned out to be a terminally ill, widowed old woman. After being lectured, she peacefully closed her eyes and passed away.

The Xie family got into trouble because they had such a smooth life in their past life that they overlooked those unimportant people in their memories.

After settling the young girl the old lady had been longing to take care of, Xie Ming stopped worrying about things here. He was very busy!

With so much money, he naturally wanted to improve his quality of life. So, taking advantage of his job, he bought quite a few properties in several major cities. These would be his capital to become a landlord in the future!

He still lived obediently in the factory in town, but because of his great contributions, the factory director still approved a fairly large employee room for him.

With a house and a stable job, Xie Ming soon encountered a major problem: a constant stream of well-meaning older women coming to his door to arrange marriages for him.

With his mind firmly established, he had no such thoughts at all; he only wanted to stop and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

With no other option, he began to adopt orphans continuously, and all his salary went towards feeding those children.

Now those covetous eyes stopped looking at him, and one or two stubborn girls, feeling that they could also change men, reluctantly came over.

Xie Ming, of course, couldn't miss the enthusiasm of the kind-hearted people, so he smiled and started offering advice and suggestions. The people then began to help raise the children.

The results were encouraging; within a few years, the town became a nationally renowned "advanced township," bringing many tangible benefits.

Xie Ming thus arrived in 1978 amidst a mix of leisurely and busy schedules.

In 1978, Dagang Village welcomed a few special people. Yes, several members of the Xie family had been released from prison after serving their sentences.

They were made an example of and sentenced to seven years in prison. Their time on the farm was tough, and when they returned to the village, they all looked like they had aged twenty years.

Xie Laowai truly became crooked; he couldn't even walk straight anymore. He was also determined to return to the village to see what kind of retribution his unfilial descendant would suffer.

Xie Quanfu was completely devoid of the vigorous spirit of his grandfather from his previous life. Only the two brothers still clung to a sliver of hope, fantasizing that they could return to the village, live a low-key life for two years, and then resume their business from their previous life. With that experience, they would be heroes again in 20 years.

Surprisingly, Xie Quanfu's two mothers, Xie Laomu and Zhao Erya, who had lived longer than Xie Quanfu, were gone. One can only imagine what kind of life the two women led on the farm.

Xie Ming certainly won't get any retribution. Eight years have passed, and he's living a good life!

The maternal relatives who had never appeared in his previous life were also found a few years ago. They had also suffered misfortune and been sent to the frontier. After finding them, Xie Ming put in some effort to bring them to Dagang Village.

With his efforts, Dagang Village is no longer the poor little mountain village it once was.

The fruits grown on the mountain alone have become important export products for earning foreign exchange, and even the food factories in the town can only get a little bit of raw materials by relying on quotas.

The people in Dagang Village all understood how this situation came about, and they turned a blind eye to Xie Ming's maternal relatives, adopting an attitude of "ignoring, disregarding, and not asking questions."
