Xie Qiwei was dragged to the Xie family home by Xie Ming, her hair being grabbed. She tried to scream, but the pain in her chest prevented her from making a sound.
"Xie Chengguang, come out here."
"Uncle!"
Upon seeing the person on the ground, Xie Chengguang was stunned for a moment, then quickly bowed to Xie Ming.
"This Xie Qiwei accused me of stealing the steward's grain. Do you still have any say in this now?"
Upon hearing Xie Ming's words, Xie Chengguang's eyes flashed with murderous intent, and he had only one thought in his mind: This person cannot be spared.
"Uncle, I will give you and the clan an explanation."
Xie Ming smiled with satisfaction, knowing that Xie Qiwei wouldn't survive the night.
Having lived a life of privilege for over a decade, the man on earth naturally sensed his father's murderous intent.
Not knowing the whole story, and having not yet found her husband, she naturally refused to give in.
So he crawled on his knees to Xie Chengguang's side, grabbed her trouser leg, and begged, "Father, I was wrong. I will stay here obediently and will listen to you from now on."
"You knew people died here every day, so why weren't you afraid? Well, look at you now!" He tugged at his clothes and left.
Having achieved his goal, Xie Ming was ready to leave.
"Xie Ming, is that you? Are you back too?!"
"Yeah, I've never known what it feels like to push someone to their death, so I want to experience it now. Hey! It feels pretty good. Did you feel this good back then? Heh~"
Xie Ming bent down and whispered in her ear, then straightened up and kicked her again before leaving.
Xie Qiwei, who did not want to die, forgot her fear and knew that only by finding her husband could she survive. She had to leave this place before her father made a move.
Staring at the heavy anklets and bracelets, she couldn't understand where she had gotten the strength to run around like that. Before she could even lie on the ground and recover, the soldiers came to urge her to prepare to leave.
Xie Qiwei stood up shakily, not daring to delay, afraid that the whip would strike her again. As for escaping, she could only plan as she went.
Unfortunately, time was short, and her hands and feet were still cuffed. She failed to escape in the middle of the night; Xie Qiwei was suffocated to death by the Xie family. They dared not keep such a menace alive, and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming she had died.
Xie Ming had no intention of letting that bitch off so easily. Didn't she sell Xie Yuzhi out? She had to experience it too.
After she died, Xie Ming grabbed her soul and stuffed it into the body of a man who had just passed away.
When Xie Qiwei woke up from the painful feeling of suffocation, she was dragged to an empty room. Before she could react, several people gagged her, pressed her against a wooden board, and spread her legs wide apart.
She began to struggle, and the leader slapped her hard across the face, saying, "Your aunt sold you here, so just accept your fate! You can't escape this once you're here!"
Xie Qiwei then noticed the people's clothing; they were all dressed as palace eunuchs. She began to shake her head, but the men completely ignored her, as if this were a common occurrence.
The eunuchs were very skilled and quickly tied the person up.
At this moment, a pale-faced, beardless old man came in carrying a wooden box. After opening the box, he picked out a small silver knife, about the size of a palm, and stared at Xie Qiwei with a smile.
Before she could resist, her pants were pulled down, and instantly her father-in-law's knife slashed between her legs.
The immense pain immediately overwhelmed Xie Qiwei's thoughts; her mouth was gagged, and her legs trembled with pain. Perhaps because she had experienced near-death pain, she didn't faint.
The man who cut her neck said in a sarcastic, high-pitched voice, "Didn't expect her to be so tough. Alright, clean her up and take her away to recover!"
For some reason, a young face flashed into Xie Qiwei's mind. It seemed like a long time ago, she wanted to do a good deed but didn't have enough money, so she sold that child. Did he go through all of that later too?
Tears streamed down Xie Qiwei's face, but regret couldn't change the outcome; she believed it was all retribution.
From then on, the palace had a kind-hearted eunuch who was often tricked into going to be beaten. Not long after, the eunuch was beaten to death by the emperor for helping the wrong person.
After dealing with Xie Qiwei, Xie Ming turned his attention back to his son.
"Dad, I want to support many, many doctors in the future." Xie Yuzhi finally spoke up after yet another child fell ill.
Since the start of the exile mission, many children have died. Xie Yuzhi didn't say anything, but Xie Ming knew he cared deeply.
How do you want to raise it?
He was somewhat relieved that his child would switch from playing with poison to playing with medicine.
"I'll teach them once I learn it!" Xie Yuzhi's eyes were determined.
Xie Ming suddenly had an idea. He patted his son's head and said, "Dad has money. You can raise him however you want."
"Father is so good!"
The father and son reached a consensus and continued their journey of exile as if they were sightseeing.
Xie Yuzhi's Side Story
The mountains rise majestically, wildflowers bloom in abundance, and the fragrance of fresh grass wafting from the medicinal herb fields permeates the entire untouched valley.
On the east side of the valley, a man dressed in a light blue robe was leisurely reclining in a rocking chair, reading a scroll.
The little boy next to him knelt on the ground and carefully fanned the tea stove with a fan. The tea was brewed with spring water from the valley, which was the most suitable for brewing.
However, different methods are needed to brew good tea. Some require boiling at high temperature and simmering at low temperature, while others require the opposite. Different teas also require different types of water.
It took the little boy two years to learn how to boil water. His master said that when he gets a little older, he will be taught how to boil medicine, which is much more interesting than boiling tea.
"Hmm, your fever is good today. Go down and find your third senior brother to memorize the names of the medicines."
"Yes, Master."
Xie Yuzhi closed his book, rested his chin on his hand, and began to think about "Dad." His dad said he would be back after a few days of travel, but it had been two months and there was still no news.
