Before long, all the teammates had indeed arrived. Qu Shangjun glanced unconsciously at the "master" standing next to him, then shrank back guiltily, afraid that the master would find out that he had doubted his abilities.
"Who is it?" The door opened.
Then, as soon as the girl poked her head out, she saw the people who had only appeared on TV standing at her door.
"Ah—Brother Song, it's Brother Song! And there's Quququ~"
People on the other side of the screen are green with envy. What luck that girl has! So many celebrities have visited her house.
"Miss, may we come in?"
"Well, it's not very convenient at my home right now."
The girl's expression darkened, as if she were thinking of something.
“I know what’s going on with yours.”
Xie Ming stared intently at him, his eyes flashing with a dark golden light.
The girl felt a sudden surge of hope, and after a moment's thought, she politely let the person in.
The others who arrived later were also confused and didn't know what was going on, but they followed them into the courtyard.
The courtyard is quite large, with a square layout. Numerous flowers and trees are planted along the wall, their abundance suggesting the family is doing well.
However, upon seeing the starting growth of the Virginia creeper, Xie Ming shook his head.
"Master, is there a problem?"
Qu Shangjun, who had been paying attention to him, saw his actions and immediately came over to ask.
"Tell this family to remove the ivy later."
Why?
"His family can't grow it."
Without explaining further, he glanced sideways at the young man who was focused on his woodworking; this man was none other than the owner of the Palm Supplies store from before.
The girl left everyone in the courtyard and went into the inner room to find her family. Everyone spoke in hushed tones, clearly sensing that something might have happened at that house.
A middle-aged woman came out of the inner room a short while later!
“Little sister, don’t tell me, I know about your child’s situation.” Seeing the face that resembled the young man’s, Xie Ming spoke first.
The older woman asked in surprise, "This! Who are you?"
“Your child is a kind and virtuous person. He wouldn’t have suffered this misfortune if he hadn’t shielded someone from disaster. I have a connection with him and have come here to help him resolve this.”
Even though the old woman knew the visitor might be a fraudster, a glimmer of hope rose in her heart. She pursed her lips and truthfully recounted the child's situation.
It turns out she has a son, but a month ago, in order to save some children, her son used his body to block an illegally riding electric bike, and afterwards suffered a head injury and became a vegetable.
The doctors had told them that the patient's chances of waking up were extremely slim, but how could the family members give up?
"Brother, let's put it this way, after the child collapsed, the hospital said that was the end of it. It would have been better to leave him in the hospital, but the old man at home wanted him to come home, so we brought him back. He has to stay home with my daughter and take care of her brother."
The woman wiped away her tears after she finished speaking.
"We won't say much. You sit here and don't make a sound."
Fearing they would be late, Xie Ming didn't offer much comfort and prepared to act immediately. Before making his move, he glanced at the person behind him as a warning.
No one knew what he was going to do, but since it was a live broadcast, the guests still showed good manners and nodded in agreement.
Xie Ming turned and stood up, flipping his right hand. A golden talisman flew out from behind him and towards the corner of the wall. It then hovered in mid-air.
The people present were filled with surprise and doubt. What kind of scene was this that they were allowed to see?
And where did those suddenly appearing talismans come from, and why are they golden?
Before their doubts could be resolved, Xie Ming swiftly formed hand seals and struck the corner of the wall, shouting, "Appear!"
The talisman in the corner gradually turned into golden light and disappeared, and then the phantom of someone holding a chisel and chiseling wood slowly appeared.
The other guests who came along guessed that it was a projection technique arranged by the production team. The female guest even showed a happy smile. Usually, the place that is arranged is their destination.
Actually, when the older woman was talking about her son, several unsuspecting guests started to speculate whether it was a script arranged by the production team.
Only Qu Shangjun and a few others, who had followed from beginning to end, approached Xie Ming in fear.
They were absolutely certain that the phantom they saw was a "ghost"—my goodness! They've really made something of themselves!
When the young man's mother saw the figure she recognized more than anyone else, she murmured, "It's my son! It's my son! He's always been at home, and I didn't even know it."
Tears welled up instantly, and she cried out helplessly, "Master, Master!"
Xie Ming made a "shh" gesture and then beckoned to the shadow: "Come on!"
The illusory figure, which had been working nimbly and with lively eyes just moments before, suddenly turned dazed and walked towards the group after Xie Ming gave the order.
The guests, who thought they had just completed a task, were immediately taken aback. It wasn't a special effect for the show!
That really was a ghost!!!
Someone opened their mouth as if about to scream.
Qu Shangjun was quite experienced; upon spotting the person, he immediately covered their mouth tightly and signaled everyone to remain quiet.
At this moment, the production crew realized that the entire courtyard had become quiet and silent, as if isolated from the world.
What they didn't know was that the show's director was on the verge of a breakdown: were those things even allowed to be broadcast live?
He frantically shouted at the crowd, "Quickly tell Lao Qian to turn off the camera! Hurry up!"
The assistant shook his head: "No, the phone won't go through! There's no signal."
"Then send someone over immediately!"
"Li Ke and the others have already gone there."
The director stared intently at the barrage of comments flooding the screen, all of which read: Really? Fake?
He closed his eyes briefly and then ordered again, "Get the planner over here right away!"
He never expected the climax to turn into a missile; was he trying to destroy the show? And why can't his show be shut down backstage?
Not long after, his phone rang, and when he saw the caller ID, the director felt a chill run down his spine.
He regretted his decision to insist on live streaming; his career was hanging by a thread after that phone call.
The director adjusted his lip movements to reveal a flawless smile, and with trembling hands, swiped to answer the phone.
The people in the courtyard didn't care how things would develop here; they only wanted to know what the master would do next, so they all stared intently at Xie Ming.
Master Xie did not disappoint everyone. When the living soul walked up to him, he put two fingers together and tapped the young man's forehead.
Everyone instinctively felt that golden light emanated from the phantom's forehead, and the beam quickly enveloped his entire body. Finally, the soul transformed into a ball of light and swiftly flew into the room.
Everyone looked into the house, and the old woman let out a "ha!" and ran inside.
The rest of the people followed suit and ran inside, without considering whether they were strangers or acquaintances.
As soon as a group of people squeezed into the living room, the girl who had just come out to open the door rushed down from upstairs: "Mom—Brother is awake! Waaah~ Brother is awake."
A month has passed, and they have given up hope that the person will wake up.
"Quickly tell your dad! Waaah~" The woman cried as she followed her daughter upstairs.
Since no one dared to go upstairs, everyone stood in the living room waiting for news. After a while, the people downstairs could clearly hear a hoarse male voice coming from upstairs.
Whether it was rehearsed beforehand or not, everyone present applauded.
