Du Shaoling still handed Rong Rong over to Prince Yu, even though Du Shaoqun vehemently opposed it.
He couldn't let the entire Du family perish with him; his elder brother's death was already enough to torment him.
Holding Rong Rong, whom he had lost and then regained, Li Tianyi felt a joy akin to surviving a catastrophe.
Rong Rong is still asleep.
Yang Yan smirked, said nothing, and stood to the side with his arms crossed.

Yang Yan paused, then changed the direction of his fist and smashed it into the poplar tree beside him. The poplar tree crashed to the ground, and Yang Yan's face turned as black as ink. "I hate you treacherous scholars the most!"
Prince Yu sheathed his sword and slowly returned to his original position, his eyes sharp and his aura tangible.
Li Tianyi smiled and nodded, completely unconcerned about Yang Yan's sarcasm.
"Everyone back off, don't move! Any movement will result in the immediate removal of the curse!" Li Tianyi stared at Yang Yan and Prince Yu with a menacing look, as if he would fight to the death if they didn't comply.
Prince Yu and Yang Yan stared intently at Li Tianyi without making a move, and for a moment the three were deadlocked.
“In that case…” Li Tianyi placed his hand on Rong Rong’s chest.
"Wait!" Yang Yan called out, "Step back!" He waved his hand and retreated to a distance first, and his deputy and his brothers quickly followed him.
Li Tianyi then turned his gaze to Prince Yu, who gripped his sword hilt tightly, his eyes icy cold. Li Tianyi neither dodged nor flinched, and the two stared at each other as if swords were flashing.
Li Tianyi tensed up, his right hand already reaching for the hidden weapon at his waist, waiting for Prince Yu to make a sudden move.
He knew that the powerful Regent Prince was invincible, whether in the court or on the battlefield, and had no intention of retreating. Getting Prince Yu to back down would probably not be so easy.
