Chapter 153 Picking Up the Little Succubus 13

Thinking of this, Ye Jiu sprang up from the bed and made up her mind! From now on, she would rely less on Luo Rui'an! She would make him do less work, because people still have to rely on themselves in the future.

...

Of course, Lorian couldn't understand what had happened in just one night. He and Ye Jiu were still very close, but it seemed like there was already a thin veil between them.

He thought about it for a long time but still couldn't figure out what he had done wrong, or what he had done to upset her.

After Ye Jiu rejected his offer to cook for her once again, Luo Rui'an returned to his dormitory dejectedly.

He leaned against the door and slowly slumped down to sit on the floor, muttering, "Did I do something wrong?" He lowered his head. "Why are you suddenly distancing yourself from me?"

He pursed his lips into a thin line and reviewed everything that had happened in the past few days, but he still couldn't figure out where his problem lay.

Or... has she already lost interest in him?

Has he been abandoned?

He immediately shook his head. No, he hadn't been abandoned. She didn't resist his physical contact. He hadn't been thrown away by her!

He would never allow himself to be discarded! He would become more valuable, and he would attract Ye Jiu's attention again.

Probably because I was living separately from Lorian, although we still went to class together every day, we spent much less time together.

Ye Jiu's time with Luo Rui'an was cut in half.

In addition, Ye Jiu's deliberate distancing made Qiong, who wasn't very familiar with their way of getting along, notice something was off.

While the teacher was writing on the blackboard, Qiong, Ye Jiu's deskmate, quietly asked, "Did you and Luo Rui'an have a fight?"

Ye Jiu asked in confusion, "Huh? No, we didn't argue. Why do you have this feeling?"

"No?" Joan frowned slightly. "But the way you two interact feels like you're arguing."

"It's because we don't live together anymore that you feel we spend less time together."

Joan shook her head. "No, it's not because you two don't spend much time together that I find it strange, it's just... the atmosphere between you two feels weird. Even though you're both smiling and don't look sad at all, I just feel like there's a problem between you two."

"Really? I don't think so," Ye Jiu retorted. "I feel like we're pretty much the same as before."

We just didn't spend as much time together, but that's normal.

Qiong didn't get a conclusion from Ye Jiu, so she simply stopped worrying about it. Since the parties involved said everything was fine, this matter shouldn't affect them.

Joan pointed to a magical combination method that the teacher was explaining in the textbook, "Can you teach me how to understand this? I really don't know how to put it into practice."

"get out of class dismissed, wait until get out of class is dismissed." Ye Jiu pointed to the teacher on the stage with the tip of her pen. "It's inconvenient."

Joan covered her mouth, almost forgetting that she was still in class.

...

After class, Ye Jiu grabbed Qiong and carefully explained the questions she had asked in class. This scene was witnessed by most of the students in the class. Ye Jiu, who was teaching seriously, had a magical power that could calm people down.

On the third day after arriving at Buvis Magic Academy, Geer, who had long coveted Ye Jiu's beauty, stared at her intently.

He was determined to win her over, but this exchange student seemed very unapproachable. Despite being known as a "social butterfly," he still couldn't win her over.

Ger had imagined countless ways to approach her, but there was always someone who would stop him.

Gel turned his gaze to Lorian. He knew him; he was Ye Jiu's kept man, and a laughable half-blood. If she could accept someone like that, how could he, a pure-blooded succubus, be inferior to this half-blood?

Lorian seemed to sense something and looked up to meet Gel's gaze. Gel's eyes were unwavering, and he sneered, "Bastard." He mouthed the word silently.

Lorien remained completely unmoved.

He's no longer the person who would react violently to a few insults. Besides, the fact that he would insult someone based on their background shows that this is the only pitiful virtue he has.

Lorian felt a pang of sympathy and smiled pityingly, "Poor wretch."

Lorien's deskmate looked up blankly. "Who are you talking to? Me?"

Lorian denied it, "No, it has nothing to do with you. I just suddenly saw a pitiful creature and felt sorry for it."

"Are there really bugs called 'poor worms'? Is it a new species I've never heard of?"

Lorien smiled gently, "No, I was just making it up."

Ge Er's smile was almost bursting out of his chest, and he really wanted to jump up and punch him, but he remembered that Ye Jiu was still in the classroom, and he wanted to leave a good impression on Ye Jiu.

So he took a deep breath, calmed himself down, and stopped paying attention to Lorian.

After Ye Jiu finished explaining the problem to Qiong, Ge Er strode over to Ye Jiu's side.

"Hello, beautiful lady, may I ask you some questions?" Geer gave what he thought was a very charming smile, his two canine teeth barely visible.

Ye Jiu glanced at him. "You? You have a question for me?" Ye Jiu found it somewhat unbelievable. "You're Buvis's student. I'm just an exchange student who's only been here for three days."

Ger was prepared. "But my grades aren't very good. The teacher praised you in class, so I wanted to ask you about it."

"Okay, then ask away. As long as I know the answer, I'll do my best to tell you." Ye Jiu didn't mind helping others, but it was a bit ridiculous to have an exchange student teach local students.

Ger didn't really mean to ask; he just casually pointed and pointed to the same question that Qiong had just asked Ye Jiu.

Ye Jiu looked at it and said, "Hey, I know this well. I just explained it once."

Just as Ye Jiu was about to speak, Ge Er spoke up first, "By the way, I haven't told you my name yet. My name is Ge Er. May I have the chance to exchange names with you?"
