The morning of the college entrance exam was no different from any other day.
Ye Chengfeng and Xu Wanqing were on a business trip abroad. They had planned to come back to accompany Ye Jiu during the college entrance examination, but they couldn't come back because of flight delays. The couple felt particularly guilty when they video-chatted with Ye Jiu last night.
Although Ye Jiu felt a little regretful, she wasn't too heartbroken. What difference would their return make? They wouldn't gain any more knowledge or any lucky buffs. It was better that they didn't come back; the pressure would be less.
There were still only Ye Jiu and Su Qingyue at the table. Su Qingyue had prepared ham sausage, bread cut into the shape of a "5", and an egg. When Ye Jiu saw these three things on the plate, she chuckled and asked him, "You still believe in this?"
"I won't lose anything by doing this, just in case." Su Qingyue didn't think there was anything wrong with it and told her to finish this before eating anything else.
"And I made this myself, so I'm sharing the good fortune with you."
Ye Jiu saw that his plate didn't look like that, and felt a little helpless, but still ate it as he said.
This is Ye Jiu's second time taking the college entrance exam, and her mindset has changed significantly. This time, she doesn't feel the same pressure as before, and she studies very hard, achieving much better results than in her previous life. Confidence is the perfect description of her current state.
Before entering the school gate, Ye Jiu took the initiative to hug Su Qingyue, saying, "Let me share in your good fortune."

After a brief hug, the two went through security separately and headed to different exam venues.

The sky was very blue and open when the exams ended. We lined up for the last time on the playground to listen to the principal's blessing, which was also a kind of graduation ceremony.
The homeroom teacher walked from the front to the back of the line with her phone, recording each student's appearance on camera, knowing there might not be a next time.
Su Qingyue stood behind Ye Jiu, and Ye Jiu turned to ask him, "Aren't you sad? We're really going to graduate from this school."
Su Qingyue shook his head. The person he cared about most throughout high school was right beside him. No matter where she went in the future, he would follow her without any regrets. As for what happened to others, it was none of his business.
Ye Jiu assumed that Su Qingyue was just like any other high school student, overwhelmed by the joy of being freed from the pressure of the college entrance exam.
Just like them, Ye Jiu was incredibly excited when she walked out of the exam hall during her last college entrance exam. The principal was giving a speech on stage, and she told her best friend that she was going to dye her hair, get her ears pierced, and go on a trip. She didn't remember a single word the principal said at the time, and later she felt so regretful, realizing that it was truly over.
"Dear students, I sincerely wish you all soaring success!"
A burst of enthusiastic applause erupted, each clap seemingly erasing their memories. The hardships and exhaustion of their time at school vanished in that moment, leaving only overwhelming joy. They wholeheartedly applauded, celebrating their liberation.
They then calmly dispersed, took their belongings, and left the school.
"What are you planning to do next?" Su Qingyue asked on the way back.
"I'm going to dye my hair first. I want to dye this thing green!" Ye Jiu raised her hand to show her hair.
Su Qingyue laughed out loud, "Green looks good too. With your fair skin, you should be able to pull it off."
"Just kidding, haha. I'm planning to play it safe and dye it light brown first. I don't want it to turn out badly if I dye it green or blue. It takes a long time to grow long hair."
Su Qingyue nodded in agreement, "That's true. Lighter colors require bleaching, which makes hair more prone to breakage and is bad for hair quality."
"I'm going on a trip after I dye my hair. I haven't decided where to go yet. I haven't had time before, but now I can finally relax and have some fun!" Ye Jiu became happier and happier as she thought about it. Just imagining her wonderful future made her excited.
They walked back to the apartment, chatting and laughing. Just as they pushed open the door, Xu Wanqing and Ye Chengfeng appeared from the side, shouting, "Surprise!"
Ye Jiu was startled and cried out. Su Qingyue immediately turned around to see what was going on, and was relieved to see that it was Ye Jiu's parents.
"Mom and Dad's plane kept getting delayed, and they weren't home for two days of the college entrance exam. Are they angry with us?" Xu Wanqing asked, holding Ye Jiu's hand with heartache.
“Everyone else has their parents waiting at the door, my dear girl must be so upset. Your parents are so sorry,” Ye Chengfeng added, but he could see the sadness in Ye Jiu’s smiling face. “I hope it’s not too late for your parents to make it up to you now.”
Ye Chengfeng and Xu Wanqing kept talking back and forth, not giving Ye Jiu a chance to interrupt. Seeing that they were feeling more and more guilty as they talked, Ye Jiu interrupted them.
"Stop. First of all, I'm very happy that Mom and Dad came. Secondly, I don't blame you or feel sad. I even feel pressured having you by my side. Besides, the weather is something you can't stop. I think I did quite well on the test and it wasn't affected."
Ye Jiu paused for a moment to think, "If you really want to make it up to us, why don't we go out for a big meal? Let's bring Su Qingyue along." Ye Jiu pointed to Su Qingyue, who was standing across the door and hadn't gone in yet.
Su Qingyue greeted them politely, "Hello, uncles and aunts, it's been a long time."
Ye Chengfeng waved to him cheerfully, "Long time no see, long time no see. Thank you for taking care of Ye Jiu these past few days."
He then put his hand down and said, "Okay, let's do it this way. Let's go out for a big meal." Ye Chengfeng made the decision and immediately told Ye Jiu to lock the door so they could go eat right away.
Ye Jiu shook the pencil case in her hand. "Wait a minute, I'll put it down." Ye Jiu turned to Su Qingyue and said, "Give me yours too. You haven't opened the door yet, have you? I'll put them at my place together."
Su Qingyue handed over the pencil case, and Ye Jiu threw it on the sofa and locked the door.
