Su Qingyue took a test paper out of her bag and placed it in front of Ye Jiu. "I made the questions myself. You do them first, and I'll take a look when you're done."
Ye Jiu's pupils dilated in shock. Why did she still have to do test papers?!
Su Qingyue noticed her shock and laughed, "I should at least get a feel for your abilities, right?" He waved the notebook in his hand, "You can't possibly cover every single question you can't answer."
Ye Jiu reluctantly picked up her pen; she could spend a whole day working on this math test.
Ye Jiu had only finished writing down five choices when she couldn't help but want to give up. She glanced cautiously at Su Qingyue sitting next to her out of the corner of her eye and saw that his attention was on the notebook, so she couldn't help but daydream.
"Knock knock," Su Qingyue tapped the table lightly to bring Ye Jiu's attention back.
"concentrate."
Ye Jiu closed her eyes. It was so...so painful. Why did she have to be so stupid and make him tutor her? (ó﹏ò?)
Fortunately, the problem wasn't difficult, and Ye Jiu gradually got into the swing of things and stopped thinking about other things. Solving the math problem on her own was a very rewarding experience.
This smooth progress continued until the derivative problem abruptly ended; after finishing the first question, I couldn't figure it out.
Ye Jiu gave up and turned to look at Su Qingyue. He didn't know when he started doing his physics homework, but he could answer the multiple-choice questions in a few seconds, no matter how difficult or easy they were.
His eyes were lowered, making his expression unreadable. Half of his face was bathed in a golden halo from the sun. He had a straight nose and thin lips with a very prominent cupid's bow, making him look very approachable.
Su Qingyue seemed to sense something and suddenly turned to look at her. "Is it pretty?"
Ye Jiu blinked blankly. "Beautiful, especially beautiful."
"Have you finished writing the questions?"
"Hmm, I don't know the rest." Ye Jiu dragged the test paper in front of him for him to look at.
Su Qingyue graded the papers very quickly, and within minutes a bright red 80 appeared at the top of the paper.
"He didn't even pass."
Ye Jiu looked blank. I knew it.
"Stop scolding me, stop scolding me, I'm learning, I'm learning."
Su Qing found her appearance increasingly amusing. "It's alright, there's still a year left, there's plenty of time."
"Your basics are okay, but you're prone to carelessness. We'll take it slow on the more difficult questions later." Su Qingyue picked up a black pen and wrote down the steps next to the questions Ye Jiu answered incorrectly. "Let's see where you went wrong."
Ye Jiu leaned closer to watch him write, and before she knew it, she was extremely close to him, so close that Ye Jiu's chin could rest on Su Qingyue's shoulder.
Su Qingyue explained very well and patiently. Most of the time, Su Qingyue explained and Ye Jiu would just say "uh-huh". Occasionally, he would ask Ye Jiu to explain it to him again. Several hours passed quickly.
When Aunt Wang came to cook, she immediately spotted the two people cuddling on the balcony. She guessed they were a young couple enjoying themselves, so she kept her voice down to avoid disturbing them. Aunt Wang was somewhat pleased; this was the first time her daughter had brought a classmate home, and it was good that she was happy, regardless of whether he was her boyfriend or not.
However, no matter how softly she spoke, there was still some noise. Su Qingyue turned her head and saw Aunt Wang. She immediately stood up and greeted her, "Hello, I am Ye Jiu's classmate."
Ye Jiu turned her head, puzzled, and her eyes lit up when she saw it was Aunt Wang. "Aunt Wang, this is my classmate, his name is Su Qingyue. What are we having for lunch today?"
Aunt Wang nodded. "Hello, little students. I bought some pork ribs today, I'll make you some stew. I see you're studying, so make sure you get some nourishment. Go on with your studies, don't look at me anymore." After saying that, she waved her hand, indicating that you should hurry back to your studies.
Ye Jiu found it amusing, and the smile on her lips never faded. Su Qingyue sat down and pointed to the test paper in front of Ye Jiu, whose face instantly fell. "Would it kill you to let me relax a little longer?"

Driven by her desire for freedom, Ye Jiu sped up considerably. Su Qingyue had already finished all her homework, so she rested her chin on her hand and turned her head to watch her correct it.
The girl seemed stumped, her brows furrowed slightly, and she bit her lower lip with her upper teeth, not knowing how to start writing for a long time. Ye Jiu changed to a pencil and started writing and drawing on the paper, when suddenly her eyes lit up.
Su Qingyue watched her revise with a smile on her lips. Sure enough, Ye Jiu found a solution and quickly wrote down her thoughts, leaving a red mark on the paper in a moment.
As time passed, the aroma of pork ribs wafted to the balcony, making Ye Jiu's mouth water. However, she really couldn't figure out the last question. She turned to Su Qingyue and carefully tugged at his sleeve, "Could you explain this question to me again?"
Ye Jiu kept blinking, trying to win him over with her beauty. Su Qingyue couldn't help but laugh at her. "Stop blinking, it looks like you're having a cramp. Let me tell you something."
Ye Jiu rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, "You're the one who's having a cramp."
“I can hear you.”
"Huh? What? Did you hear what? Did I say anything?" Ye Jiu immediately feigned innocence. Who just spoke? It certainly wasn't me.
With Su Qingyue's help in organizing her thoughts, the problem suddenly became much easier to understand. Ye Jiu found it pleasing to the eye and wrote out the steps one by one. Just then, the meal was ready.
"Is your study session over? You can come and eat now," Aunt Wang said at the right moment.
Ye Jiu slammed down her pen, stood up, and left. "Finished writing? Time to eat."
Su Qingyue helped her put the pen cap back on before going to the dining table.
Aunt Wang's cooking skills were excellent; the pork ribs were stewed to perfection. Ye Jiu ate with such gusto that she forgot herself and laughed heartily.
Su Qingyue was much more reserved. Aunt Wang noticed his unease and used serving chopsticks to put a piece of pork rib on his plate. "Eat more, try Auntie's cooking. Give me your feedback on whether it's good or not, haha." Aunt Wang's cheerful manner made everyone feel relaxed.
"Um."
When Ye Jiu saw Aunt Wang serving him food, he immediately took the serving chopsticks and served him a piece of shredded potato. "Have a bite of this too, Aunt Wang's stir-fry is super delicious!"
Seeing this, Aunt Wang laughed and said, "Eat more, eat more. If you like it, come again next time. You are the first student that Miss brought to visit."
"Thank you, it's delicious."
Ye Jiu found Su Qingyue's behavior rather novel and sat next to her, covering her mouth and secretly laughing. It turns out she's not good at dealing with elders, hahaha.
After finishing their meal, Su Qingyue helped put the dishes in the dishwasher and tidied up, thus ending today's tutoring session. Ye Jiu was too full to move and was puzzled by Su Qingyue's eagerness to pack up and leave.
"Is something wrong at home? Why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
"No, but let's end today's lesson here. It's not convenient to bother you any further."
Ye Jiu's eyes darted around, and she walked over and pressed down on his hand as he was about to put on his backpack. She leaned closer and said, "No one will be with me this afternoon. Why don't you come out and play with me? The price is the same as the tutor's."
Su Qingyue loosened her backpack and looked calmly at Ye Jiu. The girl's eyes were clear and revealed no other meaning.
"Okay," he said.
