Chu Qingxuan stared at Gu Shen with her big eyes and asked softly, "What are we going out to eat?"
Gu Shen asked with a light laugh, "What would Chu Chu like to eat?"
"It's delicious."
Gu Shen chuckled and suddenly thought that having a little cutie like Chu Qingxuan by his side wasn't so bad.
"Shall we go get steak?"
steak?
That sounds pretty good.
Chu Qingxuan nodded and replied, "Okay, I'll listen to you."
After putting his things away, Gu Shen led Chu Qingxuan to the door. Gu Shen extended his hand and gazed at Chu Qingxuan's face with a smile.
Seeing this, Chu Qingxuan looked up at Gu Shen suspiciously, "What's wrong?"
"I'll lead you by the hand."
Chu Qingxuan frowned, unwilling to let Gu Shen hold her hand. Was Gu Shen treating her like a child?
Gu Shen noticed that Chu Qingxuan was a little unhappy, so he withdrew his hand dejectedly and explained, "Chu Chu, don't misunderstand, I treat you like a younger sister."
He was an only child, and Chu Qingxuan's appearance made him want to protect her.
Gu Shen thought to himself that he regarded Chu Qingxuan as his younger sister.
Chu Qingxuan pondered for a moment, "Is it my younger sister?"
She looked up and gazed into those deep eyes, a smile spreading across her face, and said softly, "I can walk by myself."
Gu Shen smiled gently, a smile that warmed Chu Qingxuan's heart. She thought to herself, having such a gentle brother as Gu Shen doesn't seem so bad.
"But I'd still like to call you Gu Shen from now on, is that alright?"
When asked to call Gu Shen "brother," Chu Qingxuan found it difficult to say it.
"Okay, whatever you say." Gu Shen would fulfill almost any request Chu Qingxuan made.
However, when they went out, Chu Qingxuan followed behind Gu Shen, and Gu Shen subconsciously slowed down to let Chu Qingxuan get closer to him.
A gentle and gentlemanly man entering a restaurant with a lovely young woman can still lead to misunderstandings.
The waiter asked with a smile, "Sir, how many are in your party?"
Gu Shen glanced at Chu Qingxuan, then smiled and said, "You two."
"Okay, please follow me this way."
When they arrived at the table arranged by the waiter, the two sat facing each other and waited to order.
A funny thing happened when the waiter was introducing the dishes.
"Sir, we have a couples' set meal available here, would you like to take a look?"
Chu Qingxuan and Gu Shen were both stunned. Gu Shen subconsciously looked at Chu Qingxuan's face. Chu Qingxuan remained expressionless, but she still understood what the waiter meant.
She explained the relationship between the two of them in a calm and understated manner.
"We are not a couple."
Upon hearing this, the waiter smiled awkwardly and quickly apologized, saying, "I'm sorry, I misunderstood. I apologize."
"It's alright, what's the best thing to eat here?"
Chu Qingxuan wasn't paying attention to what the waiter was saying; she was more interested in what delicious food was available.
But the waiter's words stirred a ripple in Gu Shen's heart. Gu Shen didn't know what that feeling was, but he just felt that something in his heart had been touched.
He watched Chu Qingxuan listening intently to the waiter's introduction of the dishes, occasionally frowning as she struggled with what to eat.
Gu Shen reminded her from the side, "You order your favorite food first, and I'll bring you back to eat later."
Upon hearing that Gu Shen had brought her along, Chu Qingxuan's eyes lit up. She quickly selected a steak and said, "I'll order more if it's not enough."
Gu Shen chuckled. This girl has quite an appetite.
