Chapter 21 The Arrogant Young Lady

She stood by the wall covered in ivy, and when she saw that glaring scene, her beautiful face turned cold.

The fingertips, clenched into a fist, seemed oblivious to the pain, piercing into the flesh of the palm.

Ye Minghan had his back to this side, so we couldn't see his face and therefore couldn't observe his expression.

But when she saw the girl standing opposite him suddenly move closer to him and try to kiss him!

At that moment, the jealousy in my heart surged like waves on the sea, blown by the wind.

Fortunately, he reacted quickly and pushed her away forcefully, preventing her from succeeding.

But the girl eventually broke down and cried loudly:

"Ye Minghan, do you have no heart? I am your fiancée."

"This is a marriage arranged by your parents and my parents before they died. The dead must be respected, and you cannot go against their last wishes."

Is what the girl said true?

Wouldn't she become... a mistress?

The last two words were bolded, enlarged, and highlighted in Hua Qingyan's mind, and suddenly everything went black before her eyes.

At that moment, she simply couldn't accept it, and then, as if to escape, she turned and left through the back gate of the school, thus not hearing Ye Minghan's reply.

That night, she kept falling asleep and waking up, with a voice in her heart constantly condemning her.

She, who could never tolerate mistresses, actually became a mistress herself one day!

But she was also filled with jealousy; he had been labeled by someone else.

He clearly belongs to Hua Qingyan!

Tears silently soaked the pillow.

The next day at noon, with her mind in turmoil, she called Xiao Xiao and they left the villa area through the back door, heading to Moon Valley.

While playing on the rides at the tourist attraction, Ms. Xiao quickly noticed that she was in a bad mood and asked what had happened.

She remained silent for a while before recounting what she had seen.

Xiao Xiao was furious and threatened to tear Ye Minghan to pieces.

In the end, she stopped her friend from hurting him.

She simply loved him so much that she couldn't bear to see him suffer even the slightest humiliation.

Miss Xiao was furious, wondering what kind of spell Ye Minghan had cast on her.

There are plenty of handsome men in the world, one more won't make a difference.

The eldest daughter of the Hua family can get whatever she wants with a wave of her hand; why bother clinging to a single blade of grass?

Although Xiao Xiao scolded fiercely, she couldn't help but soften when she saw her friend's red eyes from crying. Helplessly, she called a private investigator to investigate Ye Minghan's private life.

She wanted to make the flower fairy give up completely.

But I never expected this!

At 9 p.m. that evening, they learned that Ye Minghan had never had a fiancée!

The girl who bothered him that day was named Qiu Ruoshui, and she suffered from mental illness.

She always considered herself Ye Minghan's fiancée and couldn't stand seeing other women around him; she would go crazy if she did.

Hua Qingyan was stunned when she saw the result.

So, she misunderstood him!

Xiao Xiao regretted not finding any fault with Ye Minghan and even clearing his name!

She just couldn't stand Ye Minghan's aloofness. He had won the heart of the Flower Fairy, yet he still made her worry and jealous.

Without a doubt, the problem lies with him.

If he were to maintain a clean reputation and keep his distance from all women, he wouldn't have caused any misunderstanding with her!

...

Hua Qingyan slowly pulled herself out of her memories, gazing at the Bauhinia tree covered in pink petals.

She slightly raised her delicate hand, bent her four fingers slightly, and extended her index finger, pointing at the tree.

A series of light and melodious words, like those of a nightingale singing in a valley, followed:

"Hanhan, do you still remember that place?"

"In your freshman year of college, the day before Qixi Festival, you and Qiu Ruoshui were standing there 'pulling and tugging' at each other."

She turned her head to look into his eyes and spoke the last four words very clearly and slowly.

When Ye Minghan heard the name Qiu Ruoshui, his expression didn't change much. But when he saw that his beloved Qingyan had misunderstood that he was involved with that crazy woman, his face changed instantly.

He immediately leaned over, reclined the passenger seat, and then pressed down on top of her, leaving her no room to refuse.

Avoiding the injuries to her right hand and knee, his large hand immediately grasped her hands together and raised them above her head.

His peach blossom eyes were slightly upturned, his pupils slightly narrowed, and he pressed his lips to hers, speaking softly:

“Honey, that crazy woman has absolutely nothing to do with me.”

"The reason I was standing there with her that day was because she said, 'You asked her to pass on a message to me to come here and wait for you after class.'"

“I didn’t believe that crazy woman at first, but when she took out the crystal hair clip you always wear, I was worried that you would be hurt by that crazy woman, so I followed her here.”

"She was trying to kiss me like crazy, but I pushed her away immediately."

“Baby, I have not been defiled by her. My body and heart belong to you alone.”

Hua Qingyan looked up at him, his expression serious and focused, and her image was clearly reflected in his eyes.

Her bright, sparkling eyes, like a kitten stealing cream, held a charming smile, and her pink lips parted slightly:

"I was standing next to that wall covered with ivy at the time."

“I saw it, and I also heard her say that she is your fiancée.”

The last few words clearly contained a strong sense of jealousy.

She hasn't even been his fiancée yet!

In his previous life, he got married as soon as he turned 22.

There was no banquet, and no engagement ceremony before registering their marriage.

All because at that time, she didn't want to make things too difficult for him.

He had just started a new company and needed to manage his cash flow and handle various other matters.

She knew his financial situation; he simply didn't have the extra money to hold a grand ceremony.

At her insistence, the wedding was postponed for another year.
