Chapter 48 The Arrogant Young Lady

As night fell, dozens of girls were sitting or lying in a huge limestone cave.

They are all of above-average appearance and are all between 16 and 20 years old.

Several young girls were already leaning against the stone wall, covering their mouths, and crying softly.

One of the girls, with wavy perms, had already cried her eyes out; she sat on a large rock, hugging her knees.

While she was crying, she was filled with regret for not listening to her brother and leaving the cruise ship to go home early, which led to her not knowing where she had been "caught".

Sitting next to her was a petite girl named Zuo Chudie, whose face was pale, her forehead was covered in fine beads of sweat, and her lips were purple from excessive fear. Her thin little hands were tightly gripping her skirt.

"Rui Rui, do you think your cousin can find us?"

Zuo Yurui, the young girl with wavy perms, reached out a hand and gently patted her head, choking back tears as she comforted her cousin, who was only a month older than her:

"Xiaodie, my brother will definitely save us."

It was all because she was so ignorant and arrogant. Not only did she ignore her brother Zuo Shenchen's advice and leave early, but she also dragged Zuo Chudie to hide in the dressing room, which is why she was sucked here by that strange mirror.

I don't know what kind of high technology it is, but the mirror can silently suck people away like a teleportation channel.

No wonder they couldn't find the culprit!

I wonder when her brother will be able to find her.

Thinking of this, Zuo Yurui felt like crying again; she was only a sixteen-year-old girl.

Seeing the pampered young lady of the Zuo family in such a sorry state, Zuo Chudie felt both fear and unease.

She was merely an unappreciated daughter of a collateral branch of the Zuo family, a world apart from the legitimate daughter, Zuo Yurui.

She was only allowed to come along for the trip because of Zuo Yurui.

Everyone knows that Zuo Yurui, the only legitimate daughter of the Zuo family, has been a sickly child since childhood.

I get a minor illness every three days and a major illness every five days.

Everyone thought she would never grow up, but she actually grew up safely to the age of sixteen.

This is because a master said that Zuo Chudie's destiny is very auspicious for Zuo Yurui. With her around, the legitimate daughter can live a carefree life.

But the prerequisite is that they eat, live, and sleep together until they turn eighteen.

Therefore, she was essentially Zuo Yurui's playmate and talisman.

If her protective charm "fails" and something happens to Zuo Yurui, she will be the first person the Zuo family will target!

I still remember the winter when I was six years old. Zuo Yurui dragged me to the kitchen in the middle of the night to steal ice cream. I caught a cold and developed a high fever of 40°C. I was punished by kneeling in the Zuo family ancestral hall for a day and a night.

She was only allowed to eat after Zuo Yurui's fever subsided.

When Zuo Chudie recalled the punishments she had received, her body began to tremble. Her hands, gripping Zuo Yurui's skirt, tightened so much that the capillaries were clearly visible.

Zuo Yurui sensed her cousin's fear, reached out and placed her hand on her small hand, and said through tears, "Xiaodie, don't be afraid, we will definitely be able to go back."

She was the one who dragged her younger cousin into this mess. She knew how harsh her family was on Xiaodie, but if she pleaded for her, Xiaodie's punishment would be even more severe.

She could only try to get sick less often so that Xiaodie would suffer less punishment.

Just then, as everyone was immersed in boundless fear, the mirror standing upright in the cave began to change again.

The once ordinary, smooth mirror surface, now emitting gusts of wind, transformed into a dark and eerie vortex.

The girls who were there all knew that someone else had been caught in the crossfire.

Those who had stayed here for three days were numb to the scene. They had no reaction, not even lifting their heads, just staring blankly at the dirty, damp mud.

Han Ruowu, who was mixed in with the mirror, looked up at the black hole vortex in the mirror.

The next second, a stunningly beautiful fairy emerged from the mirror, her graceful figure gently landing on the cold, damp ground.

This scene left the girls inside the cave stunned, and they even forgot to cry.

The girl, whose face had been numb, now had a look of amazement in her eyes again.

The fairy before them was dressed in a beige cotton casual outfit, her figure graceful, her cloud-like black hair flowing behind her in the wind.

Even in the dimly lit cave, you could see how fair and delicate her skin was.

Her entire body seemed to glow, instantly making the gloomy, decaying cave shine.

Like a radiant light, it rekindled their desire for life.

Zuo Yurui's red, tear-filled eyes were filled with amazement and infatuation as she stared blankly at the ethereal beauty.

Her eyelashes were long and curled, and she had a pair of beautiful eyes as bright as the clear moon in the sky.

Even more exquisite was her flawless little face, her fair and rosy lips, and her snow-white skin so tender it seemed like you could pinch water out of it.

This was the first time she had ever seen someone so beautiful, a thousand times more beautiful than her brother's first love.

She couldn't help but stand up and walk towards Hua Qingyan, who was slightly frowning. She stopped when she was about half a meter away from Hua Qingyan.

She shyly smoothed the stray hairs from her forehead, her eyes filled with embarrassment, and spoke cautiously:

"Sister, were you also sucked in by a mirror?"

Still looking bewildered, Hua Qingyan snapped out of her daze upon hearing the little girl's question. She looked at Zuo Yurui, who barely reached her shoulder, gathered her thoughts for a couple of seconds, and asked softly:

"Mirrors? You were all drawn here by the mirrors?"

She frowned as she looked at the disheveled women throughout the cave, and asked herself inwardly:

What's going on?

Where is this?

Did she time travel again?

Her mind was in complete chaos, and she didn't see Han Ruowu hiding behind the crowd.

When Han Ruowu saw that Hua Qingyan had also been "captured," she was overjoyed.
