Night fell, but the sound of the waves remained unchanged.
Ye Minghan walked across the suspension bridge connecting the two islands, holding his baby in his arms.
The main island and Happy Island, which has a jade gambling market, have a unique geographical environment, being backed by two large mountains.
The mountains are only 100 meters apart, so the islanders pooled their money to build a suspension bridge to make it easier for people to cross.
Under the dark night sky, the bridge, adorned with lights, appears more romantic than usual.
Below the bridge lies calm seawater, perhaps because a small island in front of it forms a barrier, blocking all the giant waves.
The seawater here gives one a sense of serene beauty.
Especially at this moment, the sea below is emitting faint blue light spots.
Hua Qingyan, held in Ye Minghan's arms, was captivated by the beautiful scenery before her.
This beautiful blue light phenomenon has a lovely name: "Blue Tears".
If she remembers correctly, this should be caused by bioluminescence from microorganisms such as Noctiluca scintillans or sea fireflies.
She gently rolled up the sleeves of her coat that were covering her small hands, and excitedly pointed her index finger towards the sea below the bridge.
"Hanhan, look! It's blue tears!"
"Legend has it that these pearls were formed from the tears of a dragon."
"One day, the dragon was floating on the sea when a grain of sand was blown into his eye by the wind, and his eye stung terribly."
"Tears, silently falling onto the sea, turn into pearls."
"This was the first time he had ever shed tears."
The girl paused for a moment, then turned her gaze back to Ye Minghan's face.
He had stopped in his tracks, standing in the middle of the bridge, listening intently to her story.
It should be said that his gaze was fixed intently on her face.
The smile on her fair face grew ever brighter, and her rosy lips continued the unfinished story.
"The sand said: I am a grain of sand drifting with the wind. It was just a fleeting glimpse that led me into your star-studded eyes."
"The dragon was initially furious, but upon hearing this seemingly sweet confession, his heart trembled slightly."
He thought to himself, "I was just blinded by sand, so why is my heart starting to feel different?"
Ye Minghan did not speak, but listened quietly to her soft and alluring voice.
In the dim light, her ebony-black pupils reflected the delicate and beautiful face before her.
His eyes were only on her.
Because of the strong wind at the seaside, he carefully lowered the sleeve that she had just rolled up to her upper arm.
This is his coat, which is indeed too big for her petite frame; it could almost be worn as a dress.
Hua Qingyan was still focused on telling the story and did not refuse, obediently letting him cover her little hands again.
Leaning against his chest again, I looked at the "blue tears" that were still floating with the seawater.
"Jiaolong didn't understand what the problem was, nor did he investigate it further."
"And so, the sand remained in the dragon's eyes, keeping him company in his loneliness."
"Because the sand was gritty in the dragon's eyes, causing a strong stinging sensation, he was in pain and shed tears every day."
"But he didn't tell Sha Zi about it."
"The dragon thought to himself: Although his eyes hurt, his heart was filled with joy and happiness. As long as the sand was willing to stay in his eyes, it was all worth the pain."
"Day after day, the dragon and the sand spent many days like this."
"Until one day, the wind that blew sand into the dragon's eyes came again."
"It likes the sand that flies with the wind. When the wind finally remembers to take it away, it immediately bids farewell to the dragon."
"The dragon saw that the sand liked the wind more than it loved him, so it painfully let go, waving goodbye to the sand forever with tears in its eyes."
"The moment the sand was carried away by the wind, the dragon's heart broke, and he gradually disappeared into the world."
"And the last tear he left on the sea turned into a blue glow, following it."
"Where there is sand, there is a blue glow."
"But the sand didn't know that the blue light that followed it was the dragon with which it had once spent happy times."
As Hua Qingyan finished speaking, her voice choked with emotion, and crystal-clear tears involuntarily streamed down her face, as if she were experiencing the same pain herself.
Her eyes, brimming with tears, gradually turned red.
She always felt that she had personally experienced this kind of feeling, but she had no memory of it at all, only that her heart was filled with a slight pain.
When Ye Minghan saw her crying, he immediately panicked.
He hurriedly removed the butterfly mask from her face and wiped away the unsightly tears with his fingertips.
But the strings of tears kept increasing, and they just wouldn't stop.
His voice carried a hint of panic, but even more so, a hidden murderous intent:
"Honey, the stories are all fictional."
"If that worm really exists in the world, and I see it, I will definitely tear it to pieces."
When Hua Qingyan heard him say that, she cried even harder, her pretty eyes filled with accusations of his cruelty.
Knowing only how to plunder, he ultimately had no talisman and could only let "him" come out.
In that instant, the bloodlust in his eyes transformed into a cold indifference, and the heartache in his eyes almost materialized.
He lifted the mask from his face and bent down to pick up each transparent teardrop with the tip of his tongue.
His gentleness gradually stopped her crying.
Hua Qingyan gazed at him so close yet through teary eyes, and without thinking, asked the question that suddenly popped into her mind.
"If you were that dragon, would you let the sand drift away?"
Ye Minghan used his lips and tongue to wipe away the tear stains on her cheeks before meeting her clear gaze.
A sudden, intense pain welled up in his eyes. He suppressed the burning pain before speaking earnestly.
