Venerable Qinghe was really busy and hardly cared about his disciples' cultivation. He simply gave Lan Shuang a few copies of the Heart Sutra and asked her to read them herself. If she didn't understand something, she could ask Jiang Lusheng. If Jiang Lusheng couldn't solve it, she could come to him again.
But every ten days, Venerable Qinghe would gather his disciples together to tell them about his insights and tricks in cultivation, as well as how to communicate with heaven and earth and how to use spiritual energy.
Every time we listen to it, we benefit a lot. After going back to practice in seclusion and coming out, our realm can be improved to varying degrees.
The same goes for Lan Shuang. Although she has just entered the Chaos Realm, all paths of cultivation are open to her. There is no rule as to which realm can understand and which realm cannot. It all depends on her own comprehension. The better the comprehension, the more benefits she will gain.
