The Last Rose 31

At exactly 7 o'clock in the evening, when the hands of the pendulum clock in the corner of the living room moved to the right position, a dull and solemn bell rang out.

The gates of the Rose Manor slowly opened, and the entire garden was ablaze with light. Floor lamps lit up, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. A long table, covered in a red tablecloth, swayed in the breeze, and a magnificent champagne tower sat atop it. The sweet aroma of wine wafted in the breeze. Even before the guests entered, an atmosphere of extravagance and decadence had already been created.

The dazzling car lights penetrated through the black fog and shone directly onto the garden, making all the roses of different colors pale in comparison.

Soon, luxury cars stopped at the gate of Rose Manor. The lady and the master changed into formal clothes and styled themselves well. They stood together arm in arm. At first glance, they looked like a well-matched and loving wealthy couple.

However, beneath that bright and beautiful appearance, there are two scarred hearts corroded by money and desire.

The housekeeper instructed the servants to put things in order and walked around to check from time to time. However, no one paid attention to the situation on Lan Shuang and the others' side.

Several people crowded in the corner, and Liu Quan and He Ping also came down and stood with them.

Liu Quan asked quietly, "What are we going to do later? Do we really have to do what they say?"

Li Weiyan spread his hands and said, "I can't dance the Little Swan. I can go up and perform Tarzan for them, but if I mess things up, the couple will be furious, right?"

"In my opinion, you still have to go on stage. No matter what you perform, you have to follow this process so that we know what to do next." Pei Jinzhi said softly.

"So no matter whether you are Tarzan or a goose stewed in a wok, come on, Xiao Li!" Lan Shuang patted his shoulder sympathetically.

Li Weiyan: "..."

Then her eyes fell on Jiang Lusheng again, "Well, what were you performing? Violin? Oh, where's your violin?"

The others also looked over, and Li Weiyan echoed, "That's right, that's right, Brother Jiang, can you be my companion? You play the violin and I'll dance with you, and we'll both embarrass ourselves together."

Jiang Lusheng: "..."

"The violin is in the room. Come with me to get it." Jiang Lusheng looked at Lan Shuang seriously.

Lan Shuang narrowed her eyes, "Why did you ask me to come along?"

Jiang Lusheng said seriously, "Don't be alone tonight."

Because of his identity as the 389th generation successor, everyone now sees Jiang Lusheng as a master, so if he is a little serious, everyone will believe him.

He gave Lan Shuang a look, and Lan Shuang followed reluctantly.

The third floor was quiet, in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle in the garden. Jiang Lusheng walked in front, Lan Shuang walked behind, one in front and one behind, their footsteps gradually overlapping, and an inexplicable ambiguous atmosphere grew between the two.

Lan Shuang had a premonition that something was about to happen. When she was almost at Jiang Lusheng's door, she suddenly stopped and said, "You go in and get it. I'll wait here."

Jiang Lusheng grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the room without saying a word.

The door closed with a "bang", and Lan Shuang was picked up by Jiang Lusheng and pressed against the door panel. Because of this posture, Lan Shuang could not use any strength, so she had to wrap her legs around his waist and put her hands around his neck.

She was a little nervous before entering the room, but after entering, she was mentally prepared. Lan Shuang was not panicked at all and could even flirt back with ease.

Lan Shuang exhaled a breath of hot air gently in his ear, and there seemed to be a small hook hidden in the ending tone, which disturbed his heart again and again.

"Mr. Jiang, what are you doing? This is not good, right?"

Jiang Lusheng's big hands caressed her waistline, and his nose lingered between her face and neck.

Lan Shuang felt very itchy and wanted to hide but someone held her head down, leaving her with nowhere to retreat.

"Mermaid Princess, you are very beautiful today."

"Thank you for the compliment, I feel the same way." Lan Shuang smiled.

Jiang Lusheng's breathing seemed particularly heavy in the darkness as he slowly approached, "It's so beautiful that it makes me want to hide."

Before he finished speaking, the kiss came first.

Hot, soft, and urgent.

Each kiss was like a kiss on her heart.

In this precarious place where things could get weird at any moment, it was hard for them to find time to be affectionate with each other, so every moment of affection seemed more precious.

The two of them seized every opportunity and time to exchange each other's scent and body temperature.

Lan Shuang's enthusiastic response made Jiang Lusheng want to rub her directly into his body.

Lan Shuang stepped back until she could hardly breathe. "Outside... the people outside are still... waiting for us."

Jiang Lusheng finally bit her lips and kissed her, then reluctantly put her down.

He rested his head on Lan Shuang's shoulder and breathed heavily.

After a while, Lan Shuang pushed him away and said, "Okay, let's go downstairs after getting the violin."

"Um."

Jiang Lusheng raised his hands to cover her eyes and turned on the light.

Bright light filtered in from between her fingers. Lan Shuang took a moment to adjust to it before Jiang Lusheng put his hand down. "Help me hold it. I'll stand there for a while."

Lan Shuang: “Hmm?”

Jiang Lusheng turned around and looked at her helplessly, "I can't hold it anymore."

When his anger had almost subsided, the two of them went downstairs. In order to prevent everyone from noticing what they had just done, Lan Shuang went back to reapply her lipstick.

Li Weiyan was the first to see her and waved enthusiastically, "What took you so long? Lan Shuang, why are your lips so red? Did it get spicy?"

Lan Shuang was startled, then smiled meaningfully, "No, I just put on some lipstick. This color is just too strong."

"I see..."

Li Weiyan still felt something was wrong.

But since no one else asked, he didn't dwell on it.

Lan Shuang handed the violin to Jiang Lusheng and whispered, "It's quite spicy."

Then she saw Jiang Lusheng's eyes suddenly become fierce.

"I'm so glad you all have come to our Rose Manor cocktail party. Rose Manor has been established for many years, and it's been inseparable from your strong support. Tonight, to thank you all, we've invited seven of our daughters to come and meet you. We've also prepared wonderful performances, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

The lady, wearing a burgundy velvet backless dress and a pearl-tasseled shawl draped over her arm, held the microphone with a gentle smile. "Now, please welcome our young lady to the stage to perform a ballet performance. Please give her a round of applause!"

After saying that, she found Li Weiyan in the crowd and winked at him.

Li Weiyan: "..."

Mu Tiao and Zheng Mingxin couldn't help laughing. Lan Shuang patted Li Weiyan's shoulder and said, "Go, warrior."
