The royal capital was bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. The Gothic castle and bell tower were coated with a layer of ancient and mysterious afterglow, looking heavy and solemn.

Lan Shuang stood at the city gate, took a quick glance, and then looked away. Listening to the chimes from the bell tower, she curled her lips and walked forward to the soldiers guarding the city, saying, "Open the gate."

The soldiers guarding the city looked at her in surprise, "You are..."

"How dare you! Why don't you show respect to the princess when you see her?"

Louis put his hand on the scabbard at his waist and asked coldly.

"The eldest princess?"

The soldiers guarding the city looked at each other and looked at Lan Shuang in disbelief.

Lan Shuang tied up her long hair and wore no skirt. Instead, she changed into a white knight outfit. Her shoulders looked very straight. A golden tassel on her chest was stained with blood and hung down casually. She looked nothing like the noble and beautiful princess.

"Hmm?" Lan Shuang looked at them calmly, still carrying a murderous aura. The soldiers guarding the city shuddered and quickly knelt in greeting, "Greetings, Her Royal Highness the Princess!"

"No need to be polite, open the door."

"Yes!" The soldiers quickly opened the door, and as they walked in, Lan Shuang saw someone running away quickly out of the corner of her eye.

She pursed her lips, her eyes slightly cold. She must be the queen's spy. Isn't it too late to report the news now?

She came back alive.

The news of the eldest princess's return spread quickly. People stood on both sides of the street, saluted Lan Shuang and talked about her blood-stained clothes. Lan Shuang turned a deaf ear to them, or perhaps this was the effect she wanted.

Seeing that more and more people were coming, Los finally couldn't help it and quietly hooked Lan Shuang's fingers. Lan Shuang lowered her eyes to take a look and then directly interlocked her fingers with him.

Los was stunned, looked at the two people's tightly clasped hands, and couldn't suppress the smile on his lips.

She knew her possessiveness and her insecurities, so she tried hard to love herself a little more and tell the world openly that she was his.

How can there be such a lovely person?

Los sighed in his heart. Every day he felt that he liked her very much, but the next day he would find that he could like her even more.

Throughout the rest of the journey, he was immersed in a pink bubble. He no longer felt that the sight of these people was annoying. He even wished that there were as many people as possible so that they could see their relationship clearly and stop him from plotting against Lan Shuang.

The speed at which the gossip spread did not disappoint him. Soon, a family of three who were enjoying dinner in the palace received a message from the guards.

"Your Majesty, the Queen, the Second Princess, the Eldest Princess, and General Louis have returned. They have already entered the capital and are heading towards the palace. The Eldest Princess is also..."

The guard knelt on the ground and suddenly started stuttering while talking.

The king asked impatiently, "What else?"

The guard lowered his head and said in a muffled voice, "The eldest princess also brought back a man with silver hair and green eyes. The two of them walked hand in hand on the street, looking very intimate."

"What did you say?!" The king was stunned at first, then he reacted and stood up quickly, his face looking as ugly as if he had eaten a thousand flies.

The queen was also stunned. "A man? But the eldest princess..." She carefully glanced at the king's face and whispered, "Don't you have a fiancé?"

This undoubtedly added fuel to the fire. The king's face turned even darker, which was a medical miracle.

Lan Sisi looked at her father, then at her mother, and asked worriedly, "Should we send someone to pick up my sister?"

"What are you talking about? Someone, come here and bring her back to me, or she'll embarrass herself in public!"

The king roared, and the guards immediately crawled away.

The queen hypocritically advised, "Your Majesty, don't be too angry. When the eldest princess comes back this time, you can talk to her properly. She will definitely listen. Maybe she has nothing to do with that man."

"That's the best thing. If she dares to do anything out of line, I'll break her legs!"

The king was so angry that he couldn't eat his meal. He threw the cup and left the table to go to the hall.

The queen looked at the direction he left with satisfaction, then turned around and served Lan Sisi a bowl of soup: "This soup is good, drink more."

"Mother, is it really okay for Father to do this? Wouldn't it be even more embarrassing to bring my sister back? She must have encountered something outside to be like this."

Lan Sisi whispered, "Why don't you try to persuade Father to bring my sister back?"

"You know your father's temper. He's a man of his word. How can I persuade him? Besides, Lan Shuang has the same temper as him. Why are you begging for her? Do you think she'll appreciate it? Just eat your meal."

The queen's face paled. Her daughter was good in every way: gentle, sensible, smart and studious, but she was too soft-hearted. She really treated Lan Shuang as her sister from the bottom of her heart, but reconciliation between them was destined to be impossible.

But she thought it was better to let Lan Sisi remain innocent, so that the king would like her more, so she never told Lan Sisi about what she and Dusilen had done.

Now, I don’t know whether it is right or wrong to keep it a secret.

The queen was a little worried.

Lan Sisi didn't know what she was thinking, she was just distracted while eating.

Lan Shuang held Luo Si's hand as they walked, smiling at the people. Many people thought she was approachable and took the initiative to greet her. Lan Shuang also responded, "I did encounter danger when I went out to sea this time. It was Luo Si who saved me and brought me to the island. We stayed there for a month and met a kind person who brought us back."

"My relationship with Los?"

Lan Shuang glanced at Los beside her, and Los also looked over as if he had sensed something. The two looked at each other, and sparks flew. The people were all excited.

Lan Shuang smiled and said, "That's the relationship you see."

Louis and the soldiers cleared the way on both sides to protect them, with serious expressions, always on guard against assassins rushing out of the crowd.

Fortunately, the journey was relatively smooth. When they reached the bell tower, the crowd in front of them suddenly became agitated. Someone blew a whistle and shouted, "Scatter! The king has ordered the eldest princess to be brought back to the palace!"

This man was also very honest. He arrested the king just as he said, without giving him any face. The originally enthusiastic people suddenly quieted down, as if a large basin of cold water was poured on them. Everyone looked at Lan Shuang with confusion and puzzlement.

Lan Shuang stood still. A group of the king's personal guards came through the crowd. The leader saluted Lan Shuang and said in a cold voice, "Your Highness, the King has ordered us to take you back. Please don't resist and come with us."

As he said this, he waved his hand, and the guards behind him immediately surrounded him. Luo Si's eyes immediately turned cold, and he took a step forward to block Lan Shuang. Lan Shuang stretched out her hand to stop him, shook her head and said, "It's okay."

The soldiers brought by Louis immediately drew their swords and protected Lan Shuang in the middle.

"What is the eldest princess going to do? Disobeying the order?" The captain of the guards' face darkened.
