Chapter 205 Cold-Blooded Young Marshal 19

Chapter 205 Cold-Blooded Young Marshal 19

Xu Qiuqiu was so frightened that she dared not speak. She endured the discomfort as he carried her to a room.

She was thrown onto the soft bed. She was so frightened that she took a few steps back, but he grabbed her and pinned her down.

His eyes were dark and unfathomable. Xu Qiuqiu stammered, "What...do you want to do..."

Ling Jiazhen didn't speak, but gently stroked her face with extreme tenderness.

His fingers were cold, like icy venomous snakes; the skin touched by them trembled involuntarily. Xu Qiuqiu turned her face away, "Could you please not do this..."

"Don't do this?" Ling Jiazhen pinched her face, forcing her to look directly at him. "How could you lie to me?"

"What did I lie to you about?" Xu Qiuqiu really didn't know how she had lied to him.

Ling Jiazhen suppressed her anger, "You say you care about me, then prove it to me."

Xu Qiuqiu asked, puzzled, "How do you want me to prove it?"

Ling Jiazhen looked into her eyes and said without hesitation, "Marry me."

"Huh?" Xu Qiuqiu was completely taken aback by his words and looked at him in surprise.

Isn't this train of thought jumping a bit too fast? That look just now, like he was about to devour her, was he proposing to her?

Her behavior, in Ling Jiazhen's eyes, meant that she didn't want to marry him and wanted to reject him. His anger and resentment began to spread and lingered for a long time.

He suddenly laughed, a particularly chilling laugh. "Want to refuse me? This is Jicheng, you have no choice."

He bit her lip hard and said coldly, "Stay here and don't think about resisting me, otherwise I have more ways to make you marry me, but I don't think you want to know."

His eyes held an overwhelming sense of danger, and his whole appearance was eerily unsettling.

Xu Qiuqiu was startled by his appearance and forgot to reply for a moment. By the time she came to her senses, he had already left the room.

She got out of bed, quickly went to the door, and tried to turn the doorknob, but it was locked.

Not again?

Xu Qiuqiu collapsed weakly to the ground, the shadow of the previous world looming over her. She couldn't remember how long she had been imprisoned.

With such a low happiness level in this world, how long will she be locked up?

She might have to listen to an entire novel of several million words before she could be released.

As night deepened, the room door opened, and Ling Jiazhen quietly walked to the bedside, gazing at the sleeping girl with utter fascination.

The person he used to miss day and night is now right beside him, and he can see her anytime.

If only she were as well-behaved when she was awake as she is when she is asleep.

She'll reject him the moment she wakes up, and then she'll go see other men...

But he wouldn't give her that chance; she was meant to belong to him...

He gently got into bed, as if afraid of waking her, and held her in his arms with utmost care and tenderness.

Xu Qiuqiu felt like she was having a nightmare. Her whole body was restrained and she couldn't move. The more she struggled, the tighter she was bound.

This feeling of constraint didn't gradually disappear until dawn.

When she opened her eyes, it was already bright outside. She got out of bed and drew back the curtains. Sunlight streamed in, dispelling the fear from her nightmare.

Not long after, the room door opened and a maid came in, bringing in toiletries and breakfast.

Seeing the door open, Xu Qiuqiu became anxious. She quickly went to the door, but the soldiers at the door stopped her with guns.

Xu Qiuqiu had no choice but to retreat back to her room.

The maid put the things away and left. As soon as she left, the door was closed and locked again.

Xu Qiuqiu looked at the delicious-looking breakfast, but had no appetite at all. She was almost sick from being locked up in the last world, and she was going to come to this world again.

Even if she was imprisoned in the previous world, at least Ah Zhen was with her every day. Now she feels like a prisoner, with no freedom at all.

Three days passed quickly.

When Ling Jiazhen saw that the food the maid had brought out hadn't been touched, he immediately became restless.

I've been eating less and less each day for three days now.

He ordered the servants to prepare new food and bring it to him. He opened the door to the room where she was locked and went inside.

The room was not bright because the curtains were only half drawn.

He saw a figure curled up on the bed.

Hearing the noise, Xu Qiuqiu assumed it was the maid and didn't get up, continuing to lie down. "I have no appetite, take it away."

However, as she heard the footsteps getting closer, she sensed something was wrong. Turning around, she saw Ling Jiazhen and sat up in bed. "Young Marshal, what brings you here?"

Seeing her listless appearance, Ling Jiazhen couldn't get angry at all; she only felt sorry for her.

He placed the food on the bedside table, his voice as gentle as possible, "Would you like to eat something?"

As he spoke, he picked up the bowl and handed it to her.

Xu Qiuqiu said weakly, "I don't want to eat, I have no appetite."

Ling Jiazhen gently persuaded her, "These are all your favorite dishes, would you like to eat some?"

Xu Qiuqiu was a little surprised. How did he know her preferences? But looking at him now, his attitude seemed to have softened. She looked directly at him and pleaded, "Azhen, please don't lock me up, okay? I want to go out."

Upon hearing her words, Ling Jiazhen's face immediately darkened. His fingers tightened around the bowl, and a tense atmosphere enveloped him. "You really don't want to marry me?"

Xu Qiuqiu was startled by his expression and quickly explained, "No, I just want to get out. I don't want to be locked up like this. Please let me out."

Seeing the fear in her eyes, Ling Jiazhen paused, trying to suppress her emotions. "Let's not talk about this anymore, let's eat something first, okay?"

Xu Qiuqiu pushed his hand away and said stubbornly, "I just want to get out. I don't want to be locked up..."

Ling Jiazhen's voice suddenly rose: "I told you not to tell me these things!"

After saying that, Ling Jiazhen regretted it a little. Suddenly, she thought of something and said with a sneer, "You're not going to eat, are you? Do you remember Yang Yi, the cook in the manor? These are the dishes he made. If you don't eat one meal, I'll chop off one of his fingers."

"I'll eat, I'll eat, don't hurt innocent people..." Xu Qiuqiu looked at him in horror, quickly took the bowl and chopsticks from his hands, and began to eat with a bland taste.

She finally agreed to eat, which made Ling Jiazhen both happy and sad. Did this mean that he would have to threaten her to make her comply in the future?

And what makes that cook so funny to Qiuqiu? I really want to kill him, but now I suddenly realize that keeping him around is useful.

I'm so jealous! Why isn't he the one she cares about?

Ling Jiazhen watched Xu Qiuqiu finish eating in silence. After she put down her chopsticks, he felt a little satisfied. Before leaving, he didn't forget to threaten her, "Don't skip meals in the future. If I find out, he'll lose a finger for every meal he misses."

(Cook: Young Marshal, you old fool!)
