Chapter 104 Nightmare School - Lying Through Your Eyes

"Of course, compared to a fight to the death, I still prefer to study hard and improve every day. Who would deliberately make themselves uncomfortable? You all agree, right?" Hua Cai twirled her phone in her hand with a flourish, dazzling the group of delinquents who kept chanting, "Fly out and break! Fly out and break!"

The screams of Liu Guang outside the window had stopped, but the noise was getting closer and closer.

Hua Cai sighed, "We're going to waste time again. Well, that's fine. It gives you time to prepare your wages. If you really can't do it, just write an IOU and put your fingerprint on it. If you don't have inkpad, you have plenty of red ink."

The noisy footsteps grew closer, and the classroom was so quiet you could almost hear a person's heartbeat.

In the oppressive atmosphere, Hua Cai slowly read out the names on the covers of the stack of homework in her hand. As soon as she finished speaking, a group of people dressed in school security uniforms appeared at the classroom door.

"I heard someone suddenly attacked and injured people here. Who was it?" The speaker had a fierce look on his face. Hua Cai quickly searched her memory and found the person's information.

Peilan Security Team Leader – Kang Ping.

Upon seeing this person, Hua Cai's gaze softened slightly.

Kang Ping may look fierce, but he is actually kind-hearted. It is said that his daughter was kidnapped by human traffickers, and now whenever he sees poor little girls, he will do his best to help them. The somewhat worn-out backpack that Hua Cai is carrying was given to her by this man.

"Uncle, you're here! We were just looking for you. A classmate just beat up the other students and then jumped out of there." Hua Cai looked up timidly at Kang Ping, her thin finger pointing towards the corridor outside the classroom: "We were all terrified. That classmate might be mentally ill."

“Then this person—” Kang Ping pointed blankly at the unconscious person on the ground.

"He tried to stop Liu Guang, but was pushed against the door and hit his head. He hasn't woken up yet."

After saying those two sentences, Hua Cai's eyes reddened, and she seemed about to burst into tears: "Uncle, is Liu Guang alright? We were so worried, weren't we?"

The classroom fell silent, all eyes fixed on Hua Cai's tear-filled face, a look of utter disbelief on her life.

"Why aren't you saying anything? We're all classmates. Aren't you worried at all?" Hua Cai raised her small face and looked at the petrified group of people with dissatisfaction.

After a moment of silence, the group of petrified people nodded like chickens pecking at rice: "That's right, that's exactly what Ruan Yun said."

Their stories were remarkably consistent; even Liu Guang's remaining close friend nodded in agreement under the threatening gazes of dozens of classmates.

This time it's Kangping Petrochemical's turn.

When Liu Guang identified Ruan Yun as the perpetrator, he didn't believe it. Even so, he was convinced that Ruan Yun was doomed.

So how could a skinny little girl be as powerful as Liu Guang claimed? But that's how this academy is. No matter the facts, as long as everyone in the class agrees that it is so, then it is so.

Kang Ping felt incredibly aggrieved. If it weren't for the fact that his family really needed money, and the fact that the treatment here was really good, and that most companies wouldn't hire someone with his looks, he would have left this awful place long ago.

He went there hoping to see Ruan Yun one last time, but his abilities were limited, and he was powerless to do anything about it now.

However, when he actually appeared in the classroom of Class 1, Grade 11, everything that happened inside made him feel as if he were in a dream.

The students in Class One did indeed have a very consistent story, but they were all agreeing with what Ruan Yun said.

Regardless, the outcome was still good.

As Kang Ping thought this to himself, he was in a daze and led Ruan Yun and a few classmates to the school administration office, where several men in police uniforms were waiting for them.

After a series of questions, the people who were taken away behaved more obediently than ever before. The police officers felt that this mission was going exceptionally smoothly. In the past, even if they had to gather all these people together, these little devils might not have cooperated.

The group arrived quickly and left quickly. When they returned to the classroom, a burly man in black was already standing at the classroom door, carrying a specially made box.

"Miss." The burly man in black greeted Gong Xinyu respectfully.

Hua Cai stood to the side, calmly watching the box in the black-clad man's hand, her eyes slightly narrowed.

"Give the money to this student." Gong Xinyu nodded, her gaze falling on Hua Cai.

The man in black nodded, placed the box on his arm, and opened it.

Stacks and stacks of banknotes dazzled the eyes.

"That's good, thank you very much. Miss Gong is so sensible, unlike these people from humble backgrounds." Hua Cai praised Gong Xinyu generously and reached out to take the box.

Gong Xinyu's lips twitched. She really didn't care about such praise. Besides, what did she mean by "small family"? What was she, a beggar, standing on to say such things?

Seeing that Hua Cai was about to take the box from his hand, the man in black took a step back and said, "Please take the cash with you, I have other uses for this box."

Her outstretched hand froze in mid-air. Hua Cai turned to look at Gong Xinyu: "Your family is so wealthy, yet you're so stingy? You can't even afford a box?"

Gong Xinyu choked, unsure how to respond.

The burly man in black was a bodyguard specially assigned to her by the Gong family. She knew about these boxes; they contained things that were not convenient for others to know about, such as spare weapons.

“This—” Gong Xinyu looked at Hua Cai with difficulty.

"You don't mean you want me to put it in my schoolbag, do you?" Hua Cai said with dissatisfaction. Gong Xinyu's eyes lit up, and she was about to speak when Hua Cai interrupted her: "My old bag is almost showing its bottom. Do you want me to drop my money and then pick it up from behind?"

"...Uncle Gao, let's give the box to her first." Gong Xinyu gritted her teeth. The hidden item inside the box could only be retrieved using special methods. Even if she gave it to this country bumpkin, what difference would it make? With 300,000 yuan, he probably wouldn't sell another box. She could just find an opportunity to take it back.

The man in black's sunglasses obscured his view. Without hesitation, he handed the box to Hua Cai, whispered the password to her, said goodbye to Gong Xinyu, and turned to leave.

Hua Cai turned her gaze back to the classroom only after the figure in black disappeared around the corner of the stairs.

This man in black doesn't look like an ordinary bodyguard.

Back in the classroom, the only difference from when I left was that a refined-looking person was standing on the podium, his gaze now turned to look at the group of people who had just entered.

"Hello, teacher." Hua Cai greeted him very politely.
