Chapter 33 The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber—Finally Awake

That's right, everyone has to go to the bathroom sometimes. If you force-feed someone like that, even someone who's unconscious won't be able to hold it in.

Whether it was her simple and crude method that actually worked or not, the next evening, while Hua Cai was busy feeding Zhao Qiang medicine in large and small bowls, Zhao Qiang suddenly coughed and woke up.

Hua Cai stared blankly at Zhao Qiang, who was staring at her, then looked at the half-bowl of medicine left in her hand. For a moment, she couldn't think straight and handed the medicine over again.

Zhao Qiang looked warily at the bowl in Hua Cai's hand. He tried to get off the bed, but he felt dizzy and fell directly onto the edge of the bed.

"You've just woken up, so it's not safe for you to get out of bed yet. Take your medicine, and once you're better, I'll take you out for a stroll. The villagers say the scenery behind this mountain is beautiful, and there are plenty of fish and shrimp in that river. Would you like to go play?" Hua Cai smiled and handed the medicine over again.

Zhao Qiang dodged, staring warily at Hua Cai: "Who are you?"

"Is the young master awake?" A clear voice rang out, and Si'en walked in carrying a steaming earthenware pot. "I heard the noise in the kitchen. Congratulations, young lady."

The three people in the room all looked in the direction of the sound and saw Si'en wearing a simple long dress. Her delicate face was free of makeup, and she looked even more ethereal in the swirling mist, making her exceptionally beautiful.

"Miss Si'en, you are so beautiful." Da Zhuang sat on the door frame, gazing at Si'en's smiling face with adoration.

Si'en blushed and shyly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear: "Young Master Dazhuang is too kind. Si'en is nowhere near as good as even a tenth or a twelfth of my daughter."

Hua Cai reached out and placed the remaining medicine on the table. Her gaze shifted from Da Zhuang's infatuated face to Zhao Qiang's, only to find that he was completely oblivious to Si En, who was lost in her poetic reverie, sneaking towards the foot of the bed, clutching a weapon she had dragged from the headboard—a pillow—as if determined to defend it to the very end.

Seeing Zhao Qiang clutching the corner of the pillow, stretching his weak legs as if he were about to storm off at any moment, Hua Cai couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"What are you doing? Where can you run off to in this state?" Hua Cai covered her stomach, which was cramping from laughing, with one hand and wiped away tears of laughter from the corners of her eyes with the other.

She really didn't expect that the usually elegant man who had completely lost himself because of someone would suddenly come alive again after losing his memory and even do such adorable things.

When Zhao Qiang saw that this young woman had so ruthlessly exposed him, his face flushed red.

"You're awake. Stop resisting. Eat properly, take your medicine, and get better. I'll go with you wherever you want." Seeing that Zhao Qiang's face was almost red with blood, Hua Cai coughed twice, forcibly suppressing her laughter, and ladled out another bowl of medicine from the one Si En had brought.

When Zhao Qiang saw her bring the bowl over again, his face darkened instantly.

It's not that I'm really afraid of what kind of poison it is; it's just that poison itself would never wake up. It's just that—for some reason—just seeing this thing makes me feel bloated and a little nauseous.

"I...I think—" Zhao Qiang stammered, his face, which had just calmed down, flushed red again at a visible speed.

Hua Cai looked at the uneasy Zhao Qiang with surprise, then suddenly called out to Da Zhuang, "Da Zhuang, take the young master to the outhouse."

boom--

Hua Cai felt that at that moment, Zhao Qiang's face seemed to be steaming.

"You, you, you—how could you be so, so rude, woman?" Zhao Qiang tried to point at Hua Cai with trembling hands, but his whole body was too weak and he couldn't lift his arm.

Hua Cai looked at him strangely: "What, don't you need help?"

Zhao Qiang gritted his teeth, his jaw clenching: "No! Need! It!"

The three words were squeezed out from between his teeth.

"Oh~" Hua Cai stroked her chin and pondered for a moment, then suddenly turned to look at Da Zhuang: "Da Zhuang, your mission is complete, you can go back now."

Da Zhuang got up, and after confirming several times that he could leave and that he didn't have to return the wages for the remaining three days, he glanced at Si En reluctantly before leaving with a happy expression.

The courtyard gate creaked open and closed, and Hua Cai looked at Zhao Qiang with a smile: "Alright, now that the hired help has left, since you don't need anyone's help, then do your best yourself!"

As Hua Cai spoke, she gave Zhao Qiang a thumbs-up.

"How dare you call someone 'brother' so casually?" Zhao Qiang stared at Hua Cai's smiling face with disdain.

Hua Cai poured the medicine back into the medicine jar, and upon hearing this, turned around and looked at Zhao Qiang strangely: "I am your sister, what else should I call you if not brother? Brother, are you still asleep?"

Seeing Zhao Qiang standing there stunned as if struck by lightning, Hua Cai gestured for him to help her carry the medicine pot back to the kitchen. Before leaving, she turned and gave Zhao Qiang a bright smile: "By the way, if you can't manage on your own and need help, don't hesitate to call out. But now that Dazhuang is gone, only I can help you."

After saying that, he ignored Zhao Qiang's face, which went from pale to black, and turned the corner and left.

“Miss, this—” Si’en looked at the medicine in her hand, which was still intact, and hesitated.

"Put it in the kitchen, then go back and rest. He's awake now, and I can manage on my own. Tomorrow, I'll make it a little stronger so he can drink less. If he drinks too much and has to go to the toilet a few more times, he'll burn himself to death." Hua Cai smiled and glanced in Zhao Qiang's direction before handing the bowl to Si En: "Go ahead."

Si'en turned and went into the kitchen, but Hua Cai didn't go into the house either. She just moved a small stool to sit in the yard and looked at the sky, waiting for the people inside to call her.

The weather has been excellent these past few days. The night sky is filled with stars, which remain bright under the glow of the moon, making the courtyard even brighter than the house.

Hua Cai didn't wait long; less than a quarter of an hour later, Zhao Qiang's weak voice came from inside the house, sounding so tragic.

Hua Cai leisurely patted the slightly wrinkled corner of her clothes, stood up triumphantly, and entered the room. She saw Zhao Qiang staring at the ground with a sorrowful expression under the dim light, not even glancing in her direction.

Hua Cai didn't mind, she stepped forward, grabbed one of his arms, and helped him up from the bed.

She hadn't really noticed before, but Wen Xiang was surprisingly strong. If it were an ordinary woman, let alone Zhao Qiang who was unconscious, even if he were awake now and able to control his body a little, she might not be able to lift him up.

Thinking about how she had carried such a big man weighing over 100 pounds back and forth, Hua Cai suddenly felt a sense of pride.

He grabbed Zhao Qiang's arm and put it around his shoulder, grabbed his clothes around his waist with the other hand, and leaned him against himself. He walked out of the room, stopping every few steps, and headed straight for the outhouse in the yard.
