Chapter 106 The Senior with a Dual Personality 11 (1/2)

The autumn sunlight filtered through the gaps in the ginkgo trees, casting dappled golden light on Zixi's notebook.

She sat cross-legged on the grass covered with fallen leaves, glancing up every now and then at Xue Xunzhi, who was listening attentively to her.

A cool autumn breeze swept by, and a few golden ginkgo leaves swirled and fell onto his shoulder, but he was completely unaware, as he was immersed in the story Zi Xi was telling.

"So... what happened?"

Xue Xunzhi pushed up his glasses, wanting to ask Zi Xi about the rest of her story, when he suddenly noticed that Zi Xi was staring blankly at his shoulder.

"My boyfriend has a leaf on his shoulder that represents autumn."

Zi Xi reached out and brushed the ginkgo leaves off his shoulder, her fingertips inadvertently brushing against his neck, feeling his muscles tense up instantly.

"That...that's because..."

"It's from the wind..."

Xue Xunzhi's ear tips immediately turned a maple leaf red.

He lowered his head and pretended to sort through the snack packaging, but he couldn't hide the smile on his lips.

Xixi said he was her boyfriend!

Suddenly, the sound of shattering glass came from the direction of the library, followed by screams that broke the somewhat ambiguous atmosphere.

The two of them stood up at the same time and looked up into the library, where they saw a large crowd gathered to watch the commotion.

"What happened?"

Zi Xi instinctively grabbed Xue Xunzhi's wrist.

Could it be some kind of zombie outbreak?!

The little brat who came here didn't mention that the world had apocalyptic attributes!

"Su Yao, here's all this trash back!! We're even now!"

"And stop sending your sycophants to smear me on the forums!"

A familiar roar pierced through the noise.

Inside the library, Wen Wan stood on the steps, holding a cardboard box full of items in her arms. Her voice was so hoarse that it was clear she had been crying.

"Wen Wan, are you out of your mind? When did I ever send anyone to smear you on the forum?!"

Su Yao was protected behind Ji Chen, her expression strange and seemingly genuine.

"Calm down? I'm being pointed at and gossiped about by strangers at school!! And you want me to calm down?!"

"All those old things you gave me as charity, and those ridiculous photos... they were all lies to me!"

Wen Wan raised the cardboard box high, about to smash it at Su Yao.

Su Yao closed her eyes in terror and instinctively shrank her shoulders.

"careful!"

In a flash, Ji Chen reacted swiftly, turning around to shield Su Yao behind him.

The cardboard box slammed heavily onto his shoulder, bursting open with a crash, scattering its contents everywhere.

A sharp hair ornament grazed his arm, leaving a glaring bloodstain.

Su Yao trembled all over, her face turning deathly pale.

That cardboard box practically grazed her nose as it flew past; if it weren't for Senior Ji Chen saving her, she would definitely have been hit!

Su Yao suddenly realized that the most innocent person in this farce was Senior Ji Chen.

He not only stepped forward, but even used his own body to shield her from harm!

Senior Ji Chen is really great, so great that even someone like her feels she's not good enough for him!

"Senior! Your hand..."

"Waaaaah, I'm so sorry... It's all because of me!!"

Su Yao's voice trembled as she frantically rummaged through her bag for tissues, pressing them shakily against Ji Chen's wound, tears streaming uncontrollably down her face.

"Don't cry, this little injury is nothing."

Ji Chen looked at the girl in front of him, who was crying her eyes out, and sighed softly.

His tone was gentle, but his gaze bypassed Su Yao and turned coldly to Wen Wan, the instigator of the whole affair. It was all her fault from beginning to end.

"They're hitting someone!"

What was initially thought to be just a fight between best friends escalated into a physical altercation with bloodshed, prompting screams from the crowd.

Xue Xunzhi instinctively stepped in front of Zi Xi.
