Chapter 136 The Controlling Actor 18 (2/2)

"Is this also a matter of etiquette?"

His lips traced along his collarbone, each word carrying a burning heat.

Zi Xi finally realized the seriousness of the problem.

The Mo Jinnian who usually doted on her seemed like a different person now, and the dark look in his eyes made her heart race.

She raised her hand to touch his furrowed brow, her fingertips gently tracing the sharp lines of his brow bone.

"Our movie star looks jealous..."

"How can even a frown look so beautiful?"

She deliberately dragged out the tone.

This sentence is like flipping a switch.

Mo Jinnian suddenly picked her up by the waist, took a few steps to the sofa but did not put her down. Instead, he sat down first, forcing her to straddle his lap.

This posture forced Zi Xi to look down at him, and she met the lingering gloom in his eyes.

"Xixi, I don't like other people touching you."

"This place, this place... and this place, are all mine."

He tilted his head back and bit her earlobe, his slightly drunken voice muffled in her loose hair, his slender fingers sliding down her waist to her back.

"Teacher Mo, you didn't memorize all those domineering CEO lines from the movies, did you?"

Zi Xi suddenly burst out laughing, cupped his face in her hands and examined him closely, her wet eyes looking as if she had been bullied.

But the next second she couldn't laugh anymore.

Mo Jinnian flipped her over and pinned her down, their fingers intertwined and pressed against the sides of the sofa.

When he lowered his head to kiss her, his force was irresistible, yet in the intervals between their intertwined lips, he vaguely hinted at weakness: "...I can't pretend anymore...I'm jealous...I'm petty...I'm not a gentle man..."

These words made Zi Xi's heart tremble.

It turns out that beneath that gentle and refined disguise lay a large, protective dog.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered between breaths, "Then let's not pretend... Let's be honest with each other."

Moonlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the overlapping shadows on the floor and the forgotten evening handbag.

When Mo Jinnian kissed her for the last time, he was very gentle, but he still stubbornly left a faint red finger mark on her waist, as if to assert his dominance.

So, he truly deserves the title of Best Actor; all those previous displays of docility were just an act.

Zi Xi smiled.

Isn't this just a giant Hakimi?

A few minutes of pretense, and you enjoy wealth and luxury for over a decade?

The next day, as if afraid that Mo Jinnian would be drunk and forget what happened the night before, Zi Xi cornered Mo Jinnian in the study.

"I think we need to talk."

She spoke directly.

What should we talk about?

Mo Jinnian was reading documents when he heard this. He looked up, outwardly calm but inwardly uneasy.

"Tell me about your controlling nature."

"I can accept you monitoring me and interfering with my work, but! I have a dream, which is to become an Oscar-winning actress!"

She looked directly into his eyes.

"so?"

Mo Jinnian felt much more relaxed, as long as it wasn't about breaking up.

"so!"

"Either you start to learn to trust me, or we separate for a while."

She took a deep breath and made her words absolutely unambiguous.

The air froze instantly.

Mo Jinnian's eyes gradually dimmed.

He thought Zi Xi wouldn't say she wanted to break up, but he was wrong.

"Separate... Xixi, do you think I would agree to that?"

He repeated it softly, then suddenly smiled.

He stood up and approached her step by step until her back pressed against the bookshelf.
