Chapter 31 The Temperamental School Bully 9 (2/2)

He stared at Zi Xi's calm profile, wanting to grab her hand and demand angrily who did it!

But the next second, he forcefully suppressed the impulse.

She didn't say anything, so why did he rush to ask?

What is their relationship?

What right does he have to stand up for her?

Jiang Yanli licked her back teeth in frustration, a feeling of inexplicable suffocation churning within her.

Isn't she just weak-willed, never complaining or tattling, and just accepting whatever comes her way?!

Everyone, including him, is treated equally!

Jiang Yanli watched as she finished cleaning up the last piece of fruit, and watched her calmly sit back down and continue flipping through her textbook, as if nothing else mattered and only studying was the most important thing.

And what about him?

Is he less capable than studying?!

The nameless fire burning in his chest grew stronger and stronger, yet he had nowhere to vent it.

Does she not take him seriously at all?

In her eyes, was he no different from those insignificant strangers?

His fingers, which had been gripping the thermos cup, turned slightly white, but he still handed the honey water to her table without saying a word.

Zi Xi turned her head and glanced at him, whispered a thank you, and then continued to write her questions.

Jiang Yanli stared at the top of her head for a few seconds, then suddenly sneered, used a mountain of books to block the edge of the table, buried her head in her arms, and sulked.

Damn, this is so annoying.

What does she take him for?

Just an annoying deskmate?

Or is it that perverted classmate who secretly investigates her home address?

Thinking about it all night, Jiang Yanli, who had been sitting on the stairs in front of Zixi's house, couldn't resist the drowsiness and fell asleep.

Hearing the steady breathing beside her, Zi Xi added a few books in front of Jiang Yanli to prevent the light from being too bright and waking him up.

She wasn't entirely unangry; wasting food was a shameful act, and besides, Chu Baiyi was a womanizer who couldn't say anything nice. If she were to be kept by someone, the first thing she would do was ruin the Chu family.

It wasn't that they were afraid of Chu Baiyi, but rather that they were afraid the troublesome Chu couple would come and cause trouble.

Her time is very precious; she can't even date, and she doesn't want to be distracted by those mundane family matters.

Having accepted the small apartment that the Chu family had done as a pretense, she and the Chu family were now even, and there was no need to provoke the profit-driven Chu couple and cause them further trouble.

As for Chu Baiyi, one can only say that she has to pray for good fortune; the Chu family couple are not good parents.

But why did Jiang Yanli suddenly get angry? Was it because the things he bought were ruined?

Zi Xi stood in front of the fruit window, carefully selecting fresh fruit platters.

She remembered that the fruit platter Jiang Yanli bought that morning contained strawberries, mangoes, and kiwis.

To appease the male lead and express her sincerity, she specially selected two fruit platters with different kinds of fruit and added two cups of iced lemon tea.

She had just paid when she turned around and caught a glimpse of a familiar figure out of the corner of her eye—it was Chu Baiyi.

The other person was standing not far behind her, with a fake smile on their face.

She held a bowl of freshly served seaweed and egg drop soup in her hand, her eyes chillingly cold.

Zi Xi paused slightly, but then continued walking forward as if nothing had happened, carrying her things.

But every muscle in his body was on alert for the female lead's approach.

"Sister, you're carrying so much by yourself, do you want me to help you?"

Chu Baiyi quickly followed, deliberately getting close to her side, her voice sweet and cloying.

Zi Xi ignored her and simply slowed her pace slightly.

Suddenly, a sinister glint flashed in Chu Baiyi's eyes. She tripped as if by accident, and the hot soup in her hand spilled violently towards Zi Xi.

But Zi Xi was prepared. She stepped aside and flicked her wrist, which bumped right into Chu Baiyi's elbow.

With a splash, the entire bowl of hot soup was spilled all over Chu Baiyi herself. The soup dripped down her school uniform skirt, and the seaweed and egg drop soup stuck to her collar, making her look quite disheveled.
