Zi Xi was quite satisfied.
Gu Yanqing did not respond, but simply picked up a small box from the table and handed it to her.
His movements were still stiff, but his eyes held a sense of anticipation.
Zi Xi opened the box, inside was an exquisite silver bracelet with a pendant shaped like a small cake, inlaid with tiny diamonds.

She instinctively wanted to refuse, but then she remembered the terms of the contract and swallowed the words back.

She put it on her wrist and showed it to him.

As Zi Xi left the Gu residence, she looked up at that familiar window. Gu Yanqing stood there, holding the painting he had just finished, watching her leave.
She raised her bracelet-wearing hand and waved to him.

Zi Xi rode her electric scooter to the top of the mountain, beads of sweat sliding down her cheeks.
She parked the car, retrieved the new cake that Gu Yanqing was willing to try, and headed towards the side gate of the Gu residence.
The Gu residence was unusually quiet today. Zi Xi rang the doorbell.
A moment later, the door opened, and standing behind it was Gu Yanqing.
He was wearing a light blue shirt today, which made his skin look even paler.
His eyes lit up slightly when he saw Zi Xi, and his gaze immediately fell on her wrist, revealing a satisfied expression.
She was wearing a cake-shaped bracelet that he had given her.
"Hello, Mr. Gu."
Zi Xi noticed his gaze and subconsciously touched her bracelet.
Gu Yanqing did not respond to the greeting, but instead reached out and gently touched her wrist where she wore a bracelet.
His fingertips were icy cold, and the touch made Zi Xi tremble slightly.

He said the voice was soft but clear.
This was the first time Zi Xi had heard him speak.

She was a little uneasy, wondering if Gu Yanqing could accept this change.

The two sat on the sofa, and Zi Xi carefully opened the cake box.

Gu Yanqing stared at the cake for a while before finally shifting her gaze to the cake's eyes.
"Don't you like this flavor?"
Zi Xi paused in opening the box.
